I think it should be included.  At the end of movie trailers on tv and the radio now, theyve added the explicit things that cause movies to be the rating they are.  

If some young'in here went to the downloads page and wanted to download a game, but he knows his mom is sneaky, and overprotecting and a harsh punisher when it comes to being caught with stuff in it, I would certainly like the heads up.

I'll give a go at making some new icons.  Im doing others at the moment as well, so yeah, I'll post here when im done.

wow, boyd, pretty harsh without an explanation.

I think the rating system we have is a very good idea, and if we dont already have an icon for drugs(including alcohol), then we should.  

Remaking them to be bigger and more legible could be an alright idea.  I would say, go ahead and make them, and if we like them, we will adopt them.

Okay, then, you need to either post some screenshots that will help us, or please give a good description, or a good example game thats like it.

Your screenshots are really nice, and your webpage seems very nice, especially for your first, even if you didn't fully create it.  

Could you please edit your first  post with the name of your game instead, like the rules say, so that people can search and find your thread easier.  I thought your game was actually called "What do you think"  [Scummy thinks of a cool game show idea]  nevermind.  Keep up the good work, I didnt get to download the intro yet, but when I do, ill let you know what i think.

I like the drunkbubbles coming above the drunk.  Perhaps put some flies whizzing around this head too?  I think that would make it more interesting.  I dont think 3 zooping around would overcomplicate him.  

That being said, of course if this isn't what his character is to protray then dont...

I think what you want is 'DisableCursorMode', since I have no clue as to what style game you are creating.

You could also need 'GuiOff'

Depending on what type of interface you are using, look up each one in the ags manual for more information.

Yeah, when I went and saw Tony Tough on the shelves, I picked it right up.  I didn't want it dissapearing, and the guy at the counter was like, yeah, this is our only copy... nice find.

Right now, it would currently not work under normal ideas, because of the zorder of the GUIs.. you could not have one that verb coin pop up, and then have the inventory pop up on top....


Wait, a second.  Currently, couldn't we feasibly do the verb coin with the inventory window as a perfect copy of Curse of Monkey Island?  I see two ways.

1) Have the inventory window be made first, and then the verb coin made after it on the GUI's tier.  That way, the verbcoin would pop up on the inventory because of its zorder, and you could interact with it.

If that wouldn't work than,
2)Make the verb coin, the inventory window, and then a copy of the verb coin, so that the second v.c. would pop up or only be used when on inventory items?

Random
Random (int max);

Returns a random number between 0 and MAX. This could be useful to do various effects in your game.
NOTE: The range returned is inclusive - ie. if you do Random(3); then it can return 0, 1, 2 or 3.

Example:

int ran=Random(2);
if (ran==0) NewRoom(1);
else if (ran==1) NewRoom(2);
else NewRoom(3);

will change the current room to room 1,2 or 3 depending on a random result.

you could the have the original background, and the new background, and use the setbackgroundframe code instead of the NewRoom above.

Thats why TK sent you to go look up NewRoomEx in the manual.  It is available in the interactions menu, however.  Its called basically what you asked for...
Player - Go to a different room (at specific co-ordinates)

I would like to point out that almost everyone who panned EMI after its release, and complaining that it didnt fit in with the family of the three first games, were also the ones that complained after CMI's release how it did not fit in with the first two games.  Then after a couple years for the game to settle, and people replaying it... people got used to it, and people began to love it.  Then EMI came in with its scurvy-inducing 3D, and again, everyone was against change...again.  I am afraid though, that EMI was well too reckless in some plot[hole] choices they made, which especially became prominent towards the ending.

Mods is boyfriend/girlfriend with every woman on the boards, regaurdless of age.  He calls first dibs, so, sadly, your girlfriend is no longer yours.  Hence why we have not brought our girls onto the boards.
