General Discussion / Re:I was in a car crash
Mon 21/07/2003 21:56:22
I made a trip from 100 miles into Maine, to the beginning of New York state, but at 1am right after New Years Eve, into that morning of Day.  By the time I was getting close to New York, the white car in front of me had morphed into an small passenger airplane, and the lights along the side of the road turned into giant chrismats tree decorations/balls.

Yes, never drive tired.  And yeah, everyone else in the car had falled asleep, which was not a good thing. As soon as I hit New York I yelled at my then girlfriend to wake her sister up now, cause I was done.

The Rumpus Room / Re:Haiku maybe help?
Mon 21/07/2003 17:06:50
Time has come again,
when the Haiku may make ties
and bring us all close...

On the other hand,
olbies and newbies just may
battle forever.

Your choice, you decide.
Play a big part in our group
or just fade away...

Raggit, care to elaborate?  Im just curious, not attacking you.

My first adventure game was Moop and Dreadly, wait no, it was Monkey Island, back when it first hit shelves, and I was just like 7 years old.  It was amazing.  Growing up with more LucasArts goodness, I then learned about Sierra's games, and they really never interested me, mostly for the said reasons above, nor do I have any interest in playing them now.  I would though play one made by our friends here with that style in mind, but I'm always a sucker for games styled in the ways I grew up with.

Yes, add some shadows for a couple pixels down under the roof on the building.

The mailbox is not all that eye pleasing.  :-[ sorry,

but this is a great shot in progress.  its really nice.

yes, i would too change the direction/perspective on the roof.  make it angled/pointed to the left and down, so the roof doesnt look 2d flat compared to the rest of the pic.  or just do what makri says and make the tiles get smaller as they go up...

so when the character is idle, it'll be doing its own thing?

that'd be great.

You can get a scanner that scans in pictures in better than 600 dpi, or just adjust the scanner settings/properties when you have the scan program running ready to scan.

Haha, my apologies Synth, I did not read the dates, I recently got back from vacation, and remember seeing this post, but because of vacation, they all merged together with before, so it seemed like it just happened... so thats why I said my previous post as if you asked the day after.  All I checked was the time difference, not the dates, when I posted that.

No, you're right, we've had some issues with that.  It is odd how far down it is set.... even I've wondered about it before along with others here, yeah, just scroll down and you will find it.

may i ask why you chose bell atlantic?  don't they not exist anymore?  i dont mean to say anything bad.  Im just curious. i thought bell atlantic was bought out by verizon.   its odd though, i always hated verizon for awhile for taking over bell atlantic. i thought bell atlantic was a cool name and kinda held a grudge against verizon for a bit.

a lions tail.  long and slender, and then a teardrop type shaped hair fluff at the end pointing outward.

Figure I'd better do this, before someone else does.

Special thanks to Eggie for helping me set this one up.  ;)

every week ananlyze over 500 members?!?  we have better things to do.   we could either do it the one year thing at the ags awards or a couple times a year.

i like the idea of starting with those who were on the ezboards to begin with.

and yes, let the others lurk, but if they feel they have something to add, then they can private message the topic beginner of the said thread.

Towards the daily posts thing that seems to have been enacted, I don't want people that help a lot to be detered from posting helping posts.

No, its good, just making sure.

sorry to clog up the board.

if you give the engine a second to redraw the scene, i believe it will cause the hotspot to deactivate, or reactivate.

this is from my memory, but i could be wrong
