Double pixels are when there is the addition of one more pixel, it just makes the leg or arm or whatever look jaggy and blocky.

For instance her hip, on the right side (her left) has double pixels.

One of the first things you do when anyone starts a new game, is choose what pallete you will be using for the game.

Check this out. http://www.agsforums.com/acintro.htm

seeing as how resident evil makes nonmoving backgronds, just like normal 2d games that most of us are here to make, I dont see any big problem.

TerranRich-  No problem buddy.  ;D

make a copy of your game, and then download the newest beta, over in the tech forum, which has just recently been updated to have 20 cursormodes.  then paste a copy of your game into that downloaded and extracted folder, and viola. there ya go  :)

Games are made with 3d chars in 2d bg's by people in these forums.  Check out TerranRich's website for more info for starters.... so id say that it is possible, just not very normal around these parts.

Using the same vanishing point as you do with your walls, windows, bed posts and everything, point the sides towards that same point.

this is weird.

I imported more bg's to make more rooms in the dott styled one, and after i saved them, i went back to the room descriptions panel, and they already came with room descriptions from the MI style template... kinda weird.. i didnt know the descriptions were saved from the last time a room name is saved and then deleted and then remade again...

but after rereading this, i guess its not a problem at all.. i just didnt know it did that.

Back in the time when I was of middle school age, I had an OCD with clocks.  If I was to look at a clock (digital) and look away, and happen to look back again and it was the same time... I would punish myself.  (Not disturbingly) but I would force myself to keep watching the clock till not only the minute changed, but the next minute had passed.  I did this for awhile, and although I know have an impecable internal clock, I realized that what I was doing was stupid...so I forced myself to look at it and away and back and away. Just to prove to myself that I was in control and some stupid clock time was not.

Another thing was that I killed a cricket on the last step going down into the basement, and then I felt remorse, then I placed a curse on that step so that everytime that I would step on it, more crickets would come into the house... even today I still skip that last step going down sometimes, but I just grew out of it seeing how silly of an idea it was.

Hahah... That was the same idea I was doing next.  Man... I was going to crop out all the background and put them all in a scooby doo type bg complete with some slasher/monster.

But you beat me.

OHhh man. Thats really nice.

One thing... Is this in our time frame? Cause if not, then wouldn't that poster be one of those things that doesn't belong in the olden times... along with tape to hold it up?

OH, man, but really... Beautiful art.

As far as I remember, this is also available in the manual.

just something small, but i forgot to report.  Just a graphic problem. on your 'logo' page, there are still shadow marks from where lucasguy used to have his arms up along with the eyelash lines...  i like what you did with it though.  very humourus
#2896
While were at it, add a link to go to the AGS Bugs and Suggestions Tracker... so those who may have an idea, can check there first.
#2897
oh, i reread what you posted.  how about in repeatedly execute

SetGUIBackgroundPic

or

SetButtonPic

and keep them going?

But, yes, if it was an option to have animated buttons, it would be a lot neater for code and to look at.  Edit* I thought this was to be added to the tracker quite awhile ago... but I don't see it.

bumpity bump bump

Thunderstorm is dead on with what I was trying to say.

Proskrito saves the day.  I hate how where you place the code matters, even though they are not nested functions.  I've had this problem before, but not the same way, so I didnt try it.  Thanks again.
#2900
well i meant to 'if  click on hotspot' which is over the animating one... then exit game, or whatever you'd like.
