I use Sculpey for all my figurine making days. I have/had plans to make a bunch of futurama figures, ones that weren't made into 3 inch tall metal figures. I have a couple semi-done. Some met their untimely death when I decided it was okay to walk around with several in my hands at once. I of course, use metal armatures, but its just random thick wire I got from my mother.

Although Scupley comes in many colors, I preferred to use white for Roberto and others, as pictured above. (Bender is an example of the metal figurine that I am trying to compliment my figurines with.)

As others may have seen in the Garfield thread earlier, I made the whole cast using colored Sculpey. They are all still in mint condition, and are in a 3d Box frame sitting in my room.

I have Hobbes, of Calvin and Hobbes about halfway done, but I've been waiting for a rainy day with my girlfriend to complete him.

Sweet. Something to update Maniac Zombies with.

There were these images that were posted on the MOJO forums, but they're down right now. They are posted below and will be on the ManiacZombies fan art section.

Here is the original thread:

Did you leave them at Mittens?

There are a couple on this page of mine:

Also, click on the sprites properties will show it in a larger format, if possible... it will show it at the resolution you imported at.... but I too agree that a preview pane would be a nice addition.

Sometimes you have just lines of sprites that look so similar. I've felt this "pain" before.

Critics' Lounge / Re: Help with Background

you can add benches as well. and I dont think the mail box is too big. I think it could be just right.

oh, and your background is absolutely gorgeous....

haha. that is pretty funny. It just shows that they only spent 2 minutes on getting  a screengrab, and just slapped it on the article.

But again, congrats to everyone!

Please answer our questions. Be SPECIFIC. Tell us exactly how you have it planned out. We understand a little of what you are saying, but now I have it in my mind that it will be a bit like Final Fantasy. Where you're walking around and all of the sudden, you get pulled into a fight sequence. Is this what you are talking about?

I suppose I would use the random function (check the manual/help file) and I'd choose, lets say, 40 to be the number, out of 100 to be when to call the fight scene to start.

So you'd have your room, where you are able to walk freely around, and have repeadetly running, a check, perhaps with a "wait" function inbetween each check, or using a timer, to see if that number just randomized out of a hundred is equal to 40. If so, go to a new room, and begin the fight sequence, ala Final Fantasy.

I haven't had a chance to download it yet, but perhaps add "King of the Hill" in the title of this thread... I have no idea what the name you wrote has to do with with King of the Hill, but I suppose it has to do with the fan fiction.

Congrats on your game. I hope you get some more feedback soon.

Beginners' Technical Questions / Re: sprite

you wont notice a difference.

and go ahead and draw a quick background.... like its outlines... and then you can create a character based upon the door size you created. then just stick to that style and BAM... done.  ;D

Yes, but you need to fully detail out to us what kind of game you are making? is this an arcade game where they are only coming straight at you, like a fps and you are stationary? perhaps like Time Crisis?

are you doing a shooter with shooter where the bad guys are practically stationary? ala Leathal Enforcers?

are you creating a third person view game,  like Zombies ate my neighbors, or smash tv?

Something else? Please be as specific as you can.

Id suggest perhaps changing the opacity of the background trees to a lighter opacity. I think the bold colors of her, and the background clash a little too much, in my opinion. There may be other ways to deal with it, but my first idea is to bring down the background.

Your image is a fabulous one. Keep up the great work and please feel free to post more!!

I think I'd be interested if they made it like Homer3... from that Halloween episode. But then again... the old writers over new ones. As us adventure fans always state: story over graphics.

Finishing this fantastic competition, we have finally found our winner. EDMUNDO]/b]

I do want to thank biothlebop for entering the first weeks idea, and again thanks to edmundo for going along with the april fools prank. I am sorry for the uninspiring topic(s). This was my first competition win since I've been with ags, and the last one I expected to win, so I didn't have any topics ready to go.

I was originally hoping to have something to add to the Maniac Zombies page with fan art, but I guess this topic wouldn't be best suited for photoshop. Maybe a bg blitz, but oh well. That's life.

Take it away Edmundo.

Yeah, we know theres not going to be more seasons, but the movies are still, probably, most likely on the way.

We can hope.   :-\

If Conan O'Brien wrote it, then I would most definitly see it. But I'm pretty sure he didn't. I'll just save my money for more, eventual, Futurama.

My favorite VG Cats, although there are plenty, was this one. For some reason people got mad, or something, and he removed it from his image archives.

General Discussion / Re: I(vy) do comics too
Fri 07/04/2006 04:14:24
Hey, I really liked them. If they continued, I would look forward to them and I'm sure enjoy them as well. I may be a sucker for college aged college newspaper comics.

Nice work. If it continued, I would suggest bringing back the prospector randomly, but rarely. It would be a cool throwback to your originals, and your old fans would love it.
