So yeah, basically win the comic caption contest we already have going, and then have this be your rules for that week.

The Jackalopes ears look a bit funny, but then again, you put a jackalope in your game, so its even.  Such a wonderful background.  Promotions all around.

Happy 'Hanging Clocks above Unstable Toilets' Day!

BTTF is my all-time favorite trilogy. Now I get to rewatch them all today, just because.

ScummRev is not for characters. It's for backgrounds and objects, mostly. Get Costume Ripper or Costume Viewer to look at characters.

And if anything, I would want the signup questionaire harder. We still get trolls, but not nearly as much as we did when we didn't have the form. I'm happy its there, and happy how it is.

We can already import everything from an old Lucas game into an ags fan game. And we have the ability to replicate the Scumm GUI's perfectly, so I don't see the point.

seems the photoshoping idea isn't only here. Fark has picked it up too.

Your colored sketch of the girl has a slight problem. You see too much of her right elbow. In my opinion, it would be more natural to be facing more to the back. You would see a lot less of that arm, in that position. The hand is in a fine spot, but the arm should be less seen.

With her other arm, her left hand doesn't seem to be connecting with her body/hip.

Don't get me wrong, its a wonderfuly made piece, but I think it has a little anatomical problem.

But, to keep this on topic... I like the shilouted items, and thanks for the 'how to' animation of your background. Very interesting.

We already discussed that in this thread. He thought he might someday correct it, but its not a big priority right now.

The windows are the real problem. That tree could "just be across the street/path, far enough away to not warrant a black shilloute, but the branches/top of the tree comes over enough to be seen in the top image."

Did you ask Paco Vink if you could use his Crackers and Guybrush images on your website?

1) what image type are you saving your images as. If its jpeg, then you are probably getting image artifacts that are creating odd dots.
It also could be that you may be thinking that you're using only one pixel paint tools, but you are probably causing 3 pixels to be drawn, but its feathering the outside, as to blend the pixels. It might just be the first thing I mentioned, though.

2) You can probably use imageready or illustrator, if you have the adobe sweet. If you just want to show animations on a website, not for importing into ags, you can make the animation in flash, since you seem to have it.

3) From the manual, after a search of "portrait"
SetSpeechStyle
SetSpeechStyle(SpeechStyle)

Changes the way in which speech text is displayed. This modifies the setting originally set in the editor. SpeechStyle can be:
eSpeechLucasarts
  speech text over character's head
eSpeechSierra
  close-up portrait of character
eSpeechSierraWithBackground
close-up portrait + background window for text
eSpeechFullScreen
  QFG4-style full screen dialog pictures

Example:
SetSpeechStyle(eSpeechSierra);

will change the speech style to a close up portrait of the character.

Your third question was really the only one that belongs in this forum. The other two could have gone into the critics lounge sticky thread of technical discussions, or the general discssion forum. This subforum is for ags editor questions only.

If I get the house with ScubaChic, you're invited to come and stay in Maryland. That is, if you don't mind living with a bunch of volleyball college girls and going with me to a respected college. UMBC has a fantastic graphic arts program that has a respected name attached that companies really do look for.
I'll even reduce your room cost if you do art for my games.  ;)

please stop posting in all caps. you did so in your completed game thread as well, which, on the internet, constitutes as yelling, which doesn't make me want to do anything.

And why was it such a problem that caused you to remove the old music? Its not like this was for profit, nor would they ever really find out. I doubt it would ever be a problem.

I mentioned that it could be a large background, and by that I meant it could be an obsecenly large [scrolling] background. Even if it is a scrollable screen, by all directions, things severeal horizontal screens away would still be the same walkbehind level.

I'm just curious if we are talking about a very large screen, or not.
#534
I thought someone (Darth) had already made a workaround for diagonal baselines. You can wait for his response about that, but then we'll have to wait for CJ to discuss upping the walkbehinds.

It would have to be an intense and large background, in my opinion, to need more than 15 walkbehinds. There would be a baseline like every inch on the screen. It'd be like having a background full of grocery aisles. But still you wouldnt need 20+ walkbehind colors, since they are all beneath their own baselines.

For example:

You would only need 5 walkbehind colors.

So, what I'm getting at is, what kind of background do you have going on? I know its has to do with your RPG, but how large of a background area do you have?

I was thinking of developing a third person shooter engine, that i will be needing for my Zombies Ate My Neighbor game.
This just may be the thing that kicks my butt into gear to get to work on it.

subtitles, which would be impossible with a radio program, won't work here, but a transcript would, but then, you'd just have any ol' interview you can find on the internet.
this is the future.

General Discussion / Re: World of Warcraft

My very nerdy friend got GuildWars and WoW and was talking up GuildWars, until he played it for awhile. He says WoW has way more to offer and is worth the money. And he is someone who doesn't have a real job but will do odd jobs to make enough money to play WoW.

I also suggest no one starts doing text recordings until the game has reached 1.1.

Can't wait to crack open this game tomorrow!

You could have asked me or some other english speaker to review your game and report any grammatical errors or any new bugs to you. I would have been happy to proof-read your game before distribution.  ;D

you havent fixed all the black outlines to be darker outlines, such as a darker brown for the pants, instead of black, like what you did with the darker pink for the face outline.
