Use the forum search function. It's a wonderful thing. I use it all the time. (not trying to be mean here)

use a private message for that. keep this thread for its purpose. And with that...

I really enjoyed watching the behind the scenes footage. It definitly rekindled my love for making movies, and have since made contacts at my college to help work with a fan film. It's a Star Wars film, but the director is very talented with film and computers. So, thanks again, and definitly keep us updated with the movie as it goes along!

I like you, cause apparently you're from Maryland, as am I.
This AGS engine is mostly for making 2-D adventure games. To even get near a Doom-like game, it will take a lot of scripting, and the new 3D module that has just been worked on. It's tough work. This engine was not built for 3d games, nor really to make a FPS.

and really, why did you originally post this in the completed games forum?

whenever you go to new forums, you should always read their: "Read first before posting" threads. It will save you a lot of trouble when joining a new community. We're glad to have you, but we'd be even happier if you took the time and effort to read over the forum rules and Frequently asked questions, and of course, the ags manual/help file.

just have someone mark their spot, stating that they are working on the next one, and for no one else to.

then later, they will edit their post wtih their comic, and then someone else will mark their spot.
with these boards features, if you edit your post it will show up as "New" on the forums, even if you had read it previously.

How about small bricks that make up the door frame of the door, topping it off with the keystone.

Off-topic: LucasFan, would you please get rid of those deathmarks under your avatar? It's very unnerving, distracting and disturbing!

Are you serious? I think they're hilarious. I'm actually glad you brought them to my attention. I just glanced over them since I'm not looking for help from anyone right now.

I'm glad you have finally shown us all something that's going on. We have all been left waiting for what was to happen next since you first came up with that poll on your site. I was wondering why we didn't hear any news of the results, such as your opinions, even though we could all see that Indy1 was tearing every other game apart.

we're trying to say, either private message the original author, or use the game thread to report bug reports. this forum is mostly for questions about the ags game editor/creator

He knows he can visit the world of fish, and even the big ball of twine. He's just saying that he can't get the magnet. He needs that inventory item. Nothing else. (if im not mistaken)

Hmm, I just got scammed out of a whole 7 bucks on eBay. I was buying Down periscope on DVD for scubachic earlier last month, and i just got a note near the myebay listing stating how 'user is no longer registered".

his last three buyers have eerily similar names to his ebay name and all three have mysteriously become 'no longer a ebay registered user"

So great, I send him an email (which im sure he'll never get) stating how cool of a scammer he is to get a whole 7 bucks from me.

Good find, but it was Sam and Max: Hit the Road.
Freelance Police was never released, unless you're talking about the TV show, in which case, I know you are not.  ;)

That sucks, and it a pretty important bug, but why didn't you get on the Cone of Tragedy? I do it all the time. I get home from work, and if it was a rough day, I load up Sam and Max, just to get on the Cone. It's a real stress reliever.  :=

Wow, great story. I really need to pay more attention to something awful. Thanks for the great laugh.

I still think the best idea, and tried and tested, is to create a game or several and sell them, and once you start making bankroll on that, then you can start to spend money. But cutting corners and cutting costs, especially at the start is key. If you weren't making a game that you didn't own the liscense to, I'd say you're on your way. But now, you'll have to finish that, and get at least street cred, and begin making original titles, sell those, and then think about moving up. I would love to start at the top, but realistically, like I said, I'm not going to hit the lottery to get that head start.

Gee, I wonder who could have sparked this recent surge in your interest. I couldn't have been talking to me yesterday.  ::)

But that's cool and all. You may think about not opening office space at least until the first game has been selling well. This would cut down your loan, and cut down the amount you have to pay back. I would just work out of someones home for awhile, but there definitly is something to working all together, in one area, not over the internet.

Your film department might be a bigger sell to the bank in terms of generating interest from them to lend you money.

The oldest newspaper in the US is the Maryland Gazette.

.cha files are only created within AGS.

you create your images in other programs, upload them one by one into ags, and then create a character. Now, lets say you wanted to, perhaps, create a sequel to that game, you could then export the character as a .cha file, and import it into your new game.

PLEASE read the beginner's FAQ, like mentioned in the "READ FIRST BEFORE POSTING" thread.

the help file is the ags manual, which we INSIST that you read, at least scan, (read quickly through) before posting any questions on the forums.

If you are posting several shots (chars, bgs) for a game, use the same thread.

And the interior shot with the fire... wouldn't you rather not draw that in, and then have an animation of it running, on top of the background. It would make doing that a much easier task.

And if it's Goose Quest 1, typically, you don't see someone write the "1". its just implied.

Mine says Mittens Initiate... I would suppose that only has to do with people who host or thought up Mittens in the first place.
