For the ones that are able to be visited, I would suggest a shining efftect, like a twinkling star, or just animate the whole area that can be visited. Lights, bugs/birds flying.

Yeah, I'm a little confused. You say you work for an IP, yet you are using MSPaint for minor touch ups to pre-existing backgrounds, such as the one you took from Yahoo! Pictures. I would expect someone who works for an IP company, to have some knowledge to use an appropriate imaging program to at least make the touch ups look normal.

And just some help:
Ganna -> Gunna and you really should be using "Going to"
Spirit -> Sprite

guys, please, this forum is for discussion of the game, and for minor hints, and not that many at that. please use the hints and tips forum. 7 pages of hints is a bit much for quick questions.

where did you hear that? all i know is, is that Lucas wants to do TV now and no more movies, although I find that hard to believe. Plus, I would expect news like that to be posted in the star wars thread in the gengen forum, not in the sam and max thread.

I'm fairly certain that someone will take the rains for a new Sam and Max game, so you can calm down that way, but you most likely wont see any more adventure games, especially of the kind of complexity and humor that we've come to love from old LucasArts, in todays LucasArts. No need to get the moltav cocktails ready, as new companies that know your plight have been created in the demise of the adventure section of LucasArts.

I actually didn't mind so much the 'Scumbag', as it reminded me of the "great project to come - ScummBag" by Serge, over at LucasHacks, so I posted about it in the mojo forums. Its nice that you are now going out of your way to write a fellow forum members name correctly. That is a sign of maturity, and as this and other forums go, sometimes it can be hard to get it right, with people using numbers and letters together, its insane.

You can call me ScummyB, how about that. I sometimes go by that.

And yes, as pointed out, you can use the modify button on all of your own posts to change things, such as the title of the thread, you do that on the first post.

Welcome to the boards. Next time, if you want to write to just me, you can priavte message me, (PM me), by clicking on my name on the boards, but I suppose it was nice this time for others to see that you are trying.  :)

youll need to find and replace all those names which are now reserved for the engine with another, such as gooey, or something similar as for you to understand what you mean it to be.

These templates are not updated to work with the recent version of AGS 2.7, so using them is not suggested, with that version. Feel free to use them with the version they were compiled with, since I believe I have read that Proskrito has done all the updating he wishes to do with those templates. If I ever get any free time, I was considering doing an overhaul on them to work with the recent release, but don't wait up for me.

this is what is referred to as Z-order. you can change it, to a higher number, to be more on top, by changing the zorder number it has in the GUI pane.

go to your "this is the plater character" character, in the char pane. see what room number he is set to start in. this will be the room that the game starts at. say, if it was 1, it would start the game in room1.crm.   you may want to make your 'first room just a picture' be intro.crm and change your player char to start in room 0.

then in your intro.crm, go to interaction editor (the "i" button) and go to "Player Enters Screen (after fadein)", and do Run scirpt.

then paste this in
Code: ags

StartCutscene(5);
Wait(160);
EndCutscene();
NewRoom(1);  


if you are curious about the above numbers and terms, go to the ags manual/help file.

This reminds me of this idiot girl I know of. She bought a neon kit for her under carriage of her sweet car. I cant remember the make, but it was like a fast and the furious car...

She had her friend install it, and of course, didn't really know what they were doing, and the neon tubing got wrapped around the axel while driving, which after enough tugging, ignited a fire in her car causing it to, as well, be torched.

Her dad went and bought her an even more expensive car. Her parents are in the middle of a divorce, and are trying to win her custody by buying her more expensive gifts. So sad.

And only parents f around in America.

1) I'm pretty sure i remember being able to trade with my friend. I dont know what youre talking about .

2) There are potions, such as shrinking or growing that you can use on people, or yourself, and that only comes at higher levels, for example.
