i think gilbot mistyped. i believe he meant to say "original idea by sylpher and eric (Mr Colossal)"

I, too, had a problem with the placement of the eye. For me, it looked odd because her eye wasn't centered around the bridge of the nose. I did a photoshop job to show you what i meant.

(now that i see my version here,  i would, and have now done so on my saved file, move the eye just a small bit towards the nose more.)

and again, yes this image does make her look a bit older than she is... but not that much. oh, and i must say, you have such a talent. keep up the fantastic work. I cant wait to get my hands on a demo.

shouldn't it be with more parantheseses?

if ( (What.GetProperty("InvItem") ) >= 0 && ( player.InventoryQuantity[What.GetProperty("InvItem")] > 0)Ã,  )

General Discussion / Re: PhotoPlus Problem

A) good for you for figuring it out by yourself

B) wrong forum... general discussion is best for all topics that you are unsure of their place. critics lounge may have also been a correct answer

C) you do know that AGS supports higher color depths than just 256, right? you would know this by reading the manual, and going through the tutorial that comes in the manual/help file.

this could work well in cutscenes for many people. (this shouldnt really work with an LEC style dialog, though.)

perhaps, if the speech was called within a StartCutscene(), and EndCutscene(), and you had the option checked in the option pane/settings, then perhaps thats when this could be used.

Yes, that is at least what rich and I were requesting.

if you read all the sticky threads, you would know that "crashes and errors" dont belong in the beginners thread.

and posting the ways you went to get the crash would be helpful, so that the creator could go about trying to resolve the crash so no one else gets that problem.

and also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with MS Paint. I have seen some of the most beautiful art from MS Paint. (its only missing layers). The art program does not make the artist.  Just because you have some huge expensive program, wont make you an artist overnight. Also, we have a sticky thread over in the critics lounge of all posts relating to all kinds of paint programs to use.

yes, i agree. you either need to take more time with the text, by either righting your script down on another paper, so you dont forget all what you want to say, and write out your dialog how you want it, and then later write it better in the bubbles, or do that after converting to flash and making a webcomic with flash text.. .yea!

i really like your male characters. i really like your style.  your talent has really gotten very good. keep it up.

Wow.. what an unhelpful post. There are tons of fan games that use intellectual property not of their own. Yes, we are all aware of the danger of making a game that uses characters not owned or created by ourselves, but we still do it. Theres a futurama game, a stargate, starwars, indiana jones and other LEC owned property, but that doesn't stop us, because we all have love for those games, and have ideas for advancing the characters and storyline, and most have enough care for the property to never want to harm it with a crappy fan game.

I'm glad that you are liking the game, but we don't need reminders telling us that we don't own them... we know that. I know you weren't trying to offend, but perhaps I just took personal offense to it, but now that I've thought about it, you weren't really out of line. Sorry.

It's cool to hear youre a lawyer, I've always thought about going that route.

I know this isn't the CL but the one thing that still bothers me is the branch covering the "R" in Rest (on the sign).Ã,  I think the branch should extend the other way (or further out) leaving the "R" move visible.Ã,  I still read it as "Hermit's Pest" :)

That was my crit! from the CL... crit-stealer....  ;)

I would find this useful. Especially for the "cartoons" im producing in AGS
#952
can you give us a sprite and a possible idea of what to animate him/her to be doing... much like our animation comp in our comp subforum, only, this would be for real.

btw, i love the sun.

maybe, after all these repeated questions, the button should be renamed to "Import CHA's files", that way, I would hope, wouldn't be mistaken as "Why won't my bmp files work for Import Character", or "what program makes .cha files for my characters?"

mamarulez, please be more kind in the future.

and Kristjan, I'm glad you have your problem solved.
#958
read the whole thread, or don't worry about it.  >:(
#959
do you think it was caused by having the editor open too long, perhaps as they were preparing the segment ahead of time. I've heard of others here stating that their possible crashes could have something to do with leaving the editor open too long, but I have yet to have that similar problem.

dont worry about it.
