The Dig? That game sucks. It requires too much logical thought, ingenuity, and stuff like trial and error. I hate puzzles which take time to realize the mechanics of in order to find a solution. That makes my brain hurt. I want quick, easy puzzles that I can get done NOWWWW!!!!!! Instead of spending two days to a week on a puzzle, I want to be able to finish it in several minutes, because otherwise it breaks up the experience and the pacing. Oh wait, that's the kind of stuff stupid morons say. Adventure games aren't movies, you dickless swine.

[goes back to playing Gold Rush, another great adventure game most people don't play because it makes them sprain their vaginas]

Adventure games? Those are stupid. Not enough 'splosions, and I can't figure out where to go or what to do. Good thing AGS can be used exclusively for HD First-Person Shooters now, so we can stay current.

That's what I get for picking the blue...but I like blue. Think of it this way. Monkey Island was Ron Gilbert's take on pirates. Maniac Mansion was Ron Gilbert's take on scifi schlock. Ravenwood is built on the idea "What if there was a Gilbert-esque adventure game tackling horror?" It's related to them in style and era, but completely unrelated in universe, characters, story, genre, and gameplay. It's far closer to Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle, but it's not even quite like that.

There's no pirates, no ghosts, no meteors, no tentacles, no insult swordfighting, no Guybrush, no Bernard, and no mansion. It would be like calling Wretcher a Clock Tower fangame. Which it isn't. So Ravenwood doesn't count as a Monkey Island fangame. Or ripoff. More like a Ron Gilbert fangame. You can call it a Ron Gilbert fangame.  :P

Whoa whoa whoa. A Night at Camp Ravenwood pays homage to Lucasarts, among many many other things, but it's not a Monkey Island fangame. Outside of picking a similar art style, it doesn't even take place in the same universe.

The best parts were the chase sequences, just because I loved the concept behind them, but what the hell at the ending. That came out of nowhere.

I'm confused about the angle. I can't tell what direction the water is and what direction the boat is and what angle each object is.

If not monkey, then I pick someone entirely out of left field for community leader.

Yahtzee. Even if he hates you bastards.

I nominate monkey_05_06 for everything.

A lot of people aren't going to say this, because it's a fundamental law of animation I'm talking about breaking here, but leave that exactly as slow and choppy as it is right now. Yes, it's slow and choppy. However, it has a certain style and personality I like. Don't change it.

But yeah, congrats on the release. I always love seeing long-running projects finally finish. You're one of very few that I know of. That alone makes me want to play this.

Damn that damnity damn damn ladder. This game's gonna drive me bald, what with all the hair it's making me tear out. Really enjoying the atmosphere, though.

This looks absolutely lovely, and unique. I haven't seen an AGS adventure game that looked like this since Jimmy Jam.

Shut up and take my money! Oh, this is free? Shut up and take my free time!

Mark and I were already collaborating, and since I have no company of my own, I decided to ask Mark to develop the game under his. I'm very happy for the game to have it's home at Screen7.

This could surpass every AGS game ever made.

Probably because they're a fast reader.

It really breaks gameplay if you've finished reading a paragraph and are not allowed to go to the next paragraph for another five seconds.

No I mean people who skip dialog and don't read it. As in "Boring! Let me get to the game!" skip skip skip skip skip sort of people.
