I have shortened a competition a bit, as nobody gives anything new in the last couple of days, so it is "only" 10 day long :).

Ok

The main theme is a great passage, gates, narrow passage to a cave or castle, something that has a enter point ... hope you get it :)

Ok dokey !

It took me about two hours + a bit more :) to fix the Checz translation to be suitable for the game, and as far as i have tested it, it work fine !!!!

What did i change in the original txt:
Some of the sentances were put together (by accident, as the dot was still ther :) )
1 or 2 translation sentances were in wrong order, Czech was first and english second..
I had to delete all blank lines, as there must be no empty line if translation is made !
Added "/" to one of the comment line (it took me a lot of time to figure it out)(possibly accidentaly delete)
I changed the line "press Space to continue" as the Czech translation didn't fit on screen !
I have replaced "grammar" fix lines with Czech translators (and remove them from "story" part, -> well you will see int the game :).

Piece of glass is useless , i was trying to use it for something but i didn't :), so goes for the fruit. Brush was meant to be tottaly useless and it is :). But the crystal can be used to open that big metal door that you blowed with C4.
By the way, you could pick up the tong and piece of bread, both could be used or not, depends on the way you wanted to solve some riddles.
Another thing, ther is secret key in the Stargate Command  (2nd mission), to open "easter egg" with it, just to let you know.

Well, you can save position every then and now, and all death situations are predictable, so i don't think it should be that hard.

I still like original better, those lines look nice, even red color doesn't bother me, but you could try to experiment with different colors to see if they look better.

Oh, last one is correct, it should be no spaces (except the default, if you don't translate).

I think we have a problem, i fixes some of the translation errors in your file and convert it to TRA, but game doesn't work as your text contains some character that are not in the font (likey Y with comma above), so i don't know how will we make this work correctly :S.
I removed some lines from your translation as they were not needed (graphical variables and stuff )

This does tend to be the case with game studios, but film studios (I'm thinking New Line Cinema here) do frequently adapt the colour scheme of their logo to match he film, and the effect is quite cool.

Yes, that is true, even some game studios change logos sometimes to match the game, i think that both ways are good enough.

Thanks, Sektor13! Yes, that's a good point. The trouble is that the "GAMES" is too short and when I do that it looks too far from the X:



CaptainBinky: I don't have any game in mind right now. I had started a game for february mags, but didn't have time to finish it, so I dropped it.

Yes, that is true, but i think it is better to be alligned with the edge that to the "X".

And Oneway s solution is good too.

And color of the logo is not very revalant to the game theme. as you can see all the major game companies use the same logo no matter to the game.
