Eh, it's me again...

I finally have the ueberball and got into the other side of the sewers.  I obviously need something to put into the little hole where a valve should be.  Does it have anything to do with the fire hydrant or the stuck faucet in the alley?  I'm just not really sure where to go from here...and is there anything else I need to do after I knocked out the biker dude?  Sorry if too many questions...I just need some direction is all.

I feel dumb. I can't even figure out what to do in the first screen.

Hmmm...ok. Did you figure out the interface? That took a bit of getting used to before I was able to proceed in the game.

So, it's right click to open the inventory, left click for a little menu allowing you to look/interact/talk to whatever you've selected.

With that out of the way.

start by interacting with the garbage can. take the bottle

throw the bottle at the electric box on the top right of the screen. take the wire

That last step will give you a tool that will let you do quite a number of things to help you along the game. I don't want to post too much and ruin it but this should get you started on this awesome game!

Hi, Shadow. Thank you so much for the helping hand you're giving here. I tested piperhcomb's reported issue and everything works just fine. The code is also good. I'm baffled. How is this possible that onle one user is experiencing this bug?

Dunno...worked fine for me, and I restarted the game and it worked ok still. Not sure where she's stuck.

Yes, it is...it's right there from the beginning of the game. Maybe the author can suggest what's going wrong? I did restart the game to confirm before I posted my answer.

Huh...I know you can get the sneaker at the start of the game, but I have tried interacting with right after getting (by restarting and looking/grabbing first thing) and in my current save game. No dice either time.

Best I can offer is to try if you email your save game to me. Otherwise, maybe the author can suggest what's going wrong.

I'm 36% of the way through, or specifically, I just started Act 2. I am REALLY enjoying this game. Superb puzzles and plot. I've been challenged by the puzzles, but so far, never stuck.

Hey, what a great game!  I'm pretty stuck though:

I've scared the biker guy with the spider and klonked the electrician on the head with the bucket of water.  No sure where to go from here.  I want to widen the crack in the well but don't know what to use.  Plus I have the saw but can't saw the branch off the tree...and I don't know what to combine with the antennae (or if I'm even supposed to use that) to get the shirt from the clothesline.  I also burned the newspaper in the tar bin but can't get it out

I've been playing for a bit now; I have 9/30 points in the demo.

This really sets a new standard for AGS games, at least with regard to the environment and interface (I haven't seen enough of the puzzles yet to comment intelligently).

Perhaps keep in mind to build in some kind of 'failsafes' for parallel or 'reverse' puzzle solving in order for the player not to loose the golden thread of logic & motive.
Other than that there's nothing stopping you guys.

I find this interesting because I'm intrigued by adventure game puzzles and how they are developed

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by 'failsafes' for parallel or 'reverse' puzzle solving?

Do you simply mean alternative methods of completing a puzzle if you get stuck trying the "right" way?

I finished the game and loved it! The puzzles are well designed and the best part of the game is definitely the humour, followed by the creativity. I had a lot of laughs and really enjoyed the game.
