Two things right off the bat:

1) This is game is WEIRD AS F***!

2) I absolutely loved it!

Fun and hugely engrossing gameplay for a single developer game!

Pros
------------------
-Cool main characters! Even the background characters added alot to the atmosphere of the game.
-Well designed animation and backgrounds. The artwork has kind of a Mission Critical/Harvester/Darkseed vibe to it that I enjoyed but may not be everyones cup of tea. They really put you in a cyberpunk futuristic mindset and meshed well with the story of the game.
-Excellent writing . This game definetly satisfied my cravings as a big sci-fi/cyberpunk fan. Interesting use of cyperpunk
tropes and existential philiosopy.
-Certain scenes were really engrossing and felt like i was watching a movie. (Vistiting the Arcade and Proto-J coming to terms with his father stand out especially)
-Awesome music (2017 AGS awards winner for Best Music). I'd strongly consider buying the standalone soundtrack
-Point and click puzzles are challenging yet mostly logical


Cons
--------------------
-Setting up graphics settings in adventure game studio was a pain.
-Voice acting was hit or miss for me. I enjoyed Proto-J despite what other reviewers said. Other characters came off lacking emotion in certain cases. Some recordings of voices didnt sound like they were done in a professional setting (Goetzel at times sounded like he was being recorded in an office or something)
-Minor glitching and bugs (overall pretty stable though) that required a restart or two
-Certain in game interfaces have a clunky appearance (OK and EXIT buttons that don't fit the overall game aesthetic)
-Action/stealth sequences rough around the edges
-Animations can be a little "stiff" at times. Character movements can be awkward.
-Walking routine can be slow for larger scenes.

The cons overall I would say are just roughness around the edges and I attribute to the clunkyness that can come with a game designed on Adventure Game Studio. And I can hardly place blame for these minor issues considering the overall work that went into this game by a SINGLE developer.

You can tell that this game was a labor of love and it really shows in all the pros it has going for it. Again, it's very impressive AGS game from a single developer! Overall length came in about 10 hours which for someone that picked it up half off was a good value. This game is frequently on sale and I'd say you'd have no regrets picking it up if your a fan of sci-fi point and clicks! I am definetly looking forward to the sequel. If Neofeud 2 is every bit as ambitious as this one it will be a must purchase for me!!

Some of you may have seen this, but it may be applicable in this case. It is in part a response to a suicide in our community (someone who worked on my game Neofeud), my attempt to deal with that, my own battles with depression and desperation, and attempting to do something. If it helps one person in the gaming and gamedev community who is in a bad place or contemplating ending their own life or worse, that is a victory in my view.

In this podcast I'll be attempting to discuss some serious topics, including the suicides and deaths of some of my friends in the game and game development community. Many of my friends and colleagues in nerd, geek, and adjacent culture have been succumbing to depression, self-harm, contemplating suicide, or taking things out on others. This really breaks my heart, and this video is me trying to confront this tragic reality, deal with it myself, and perhaps help some of these guys out there who are in a bad place by sharing my story.

I'll be opening up about my experiences with bullying, isolation, and depression throughout school, being a virgin for 20+ years, feelings of inadequacy, hopelessness, lack purpose or direction. A lot of the things which a lot of younger men are dealing with now, and how I ultimately came to a better place, doing what I love (making video games I am passionate about, and are creatively fulfilling), with a woman whom I adore, raising two amazing kids, and have never been happier.

What version of AGS was Neofeud compiled with and were you releasing any updates compiled with different version (higher/lower/alternate)?

Can you playtest same version of your game and check if saves work there?

-Haven't been able to replicate the error yet, no.

Do those players play on some specific system (windows, linux, else), or use some alternate AGS port?

-Windows 7

Does the game use any plugins (besides steam plugin)?

-No just Steam plugin.

Can any of these players upload the bad save file?

Hi, I had someone recently playing Neofeud encounter an error I've never seen before, was wondering if anyone might have any insight into what's going on?

I got fried by the electricity meter for tampering with it then got an error msg "AGS save game error" or something similar. My character reapeared on the screen and i went down a floor went back up, automatically got fried again without touching anything then got an error msg and the game crashed. When I reopened the game my 3 save games were gone and I have to start again.

I been pplaying a bit today. Been saving along the way. Now everytime i try to load a save it says "not an ags save game" and the actual save is called " invalid ags save 7" even though i only labelled it 7. if i try to load it again the game shuts down and i get a window with ags save game error contact ags developer. Or something close to anyway.
