Mystery tree design!  Plus, "The Six Billion Dollar Baller vs. Karl Carbon is at-risk urban youth versus Mr. Miller in sci-fi clothing." I play Neofeud w/ developer commentary part 2!

A bit of work on Dysmaton and then I get into Neofeud about 1/2 way through. :)

Congratulations on getting this out at last! Here's hoping you make a million in the first 48 hours and can retire to Hawaii. :)

Funhaus, a Youtube comedy channel with over *1.3 million subscribers* just did a short play / comedy video with Neofeud! The video has only been out a few days and it's got over 190,000 views! It's mostly just sillyness, but as a one-guy team with zero budget this is a huge Christmas present, especially considering a bunch of those 190,000 viewers commented "This looks awesome!", "I just bought Neofeud" or "Why haven't I heard of this before!?" so thanks for that, Sir Lawrence!

Happy holidays AGSers!

Happy Cyberpunk Holidays! May your dystopian reality be slightly less grim for the next few weeks. :)

Thanks everybody who voted for Neofeud in IndieDB! Neofeud made it to the Top 100 Indie Games Of 2017 (Apparently out of over 10,000). We'll see if we beat Cuphead! (Not likely but one can hope!

I beg your pardon, I didn't understand if there is a combat-system. The characters may die fighting the monsters and game-over?

Nope! No combat. Any fighting is done via typical adventure game mechanics.

Interesting. I've always thought point-and-click adventures were kind of like cRPGs minus the combat. This sounds like an elegant way to import some of the fun and interesting aspects of RPGs into a p-n-c while keeping the gameplay about puzzle/problem solving.

Trailer is excellent! Also, glad it has lots of string sections, like Arcanum. :D

Thanks MJL! It would be great if Neofeud comes out on top. I wouldn't bet the house on beating the likes of Cuphead and _Observer, but to be in the final 100 rankings against a game voice acted by Rutger Hauer is a real honor. :)

You got vote from like every device i got in home:).

Thanks CyberUncleCat for going the extra mile! :)

In addition, I'm also honored to have The Space Quest Historian doing a let's play series of Neofeud!

It's a great video series so far, very entertaining. :)

In this episode, Silver Spook speaks with Japes Hirons of Peahead Games, on his upcoming Cyberpunk RPG "Neon Sword", a game in which you can use commerce or violence as your weapon of choice, purchase and manage businesses with legal fronts and black-market ends, clean up the gritty cyber-noir city up or make it worse.

Japes and Christian (Silver Spook) also discuss:

-The difficulties and struggles of homeless populations and social decay in cities, which both developers dealt with first hand
-Game dev while Married With Children
-What it is like working with Keystone Games (Peahead Games' publisher)
-Working with Jane Whittaker, CTO of Keystone Games and game/film industry legend who worked on everything from Alien Vs. Predator to 007 for Nintendo 64 to actual James Bond films at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer
-Jane getting Keanu Reeves to come on the next Silver Spook Podcast, dressed up as Neo, so Japes can ask Keanu if he is his father.
-What life is like in Hull, North England, and what it means to 'get your push-iron nicked in the ten-foot.'

Finally, here are a couple more reviews recently published on Neofeud:

This first one is in Spanish (sorry) and I wish I was fluent so I could read this great Neofeud review in its native language, but thankfully there is Google translate!

Quote"A much more complex world than what is shown in Blade Runner, which inspired it, and this game also poses itself as a more in-depth and realistic reflection of the dilemma insinuated by the replicants."

"From the point of view of music and dubbing Neofeud has nothing to envy of major titles."

The reviewer also compared Neofeud with Neil Blomkamp and District 9, which is a high complement for me, since I consider D-9 as one of if not the greatest sci-fi film of the past few decades.

And one more review from Save Or Quit:

Quote"Neofeud is a carefully crafted story that plays out like an interactive detective/mystery movie from the 80's... This is a game for players who like to enjoy a good science fiction story set in a world that feels familiar and possible in the near future."

And finally, my Deus Ex 1 total conversion Terminus Machina has been featured on IndieDB's sister site, ModDB! Thanks for the highlight, guys! You can also see a video of me replaying this mod that I made about 7 years ago with developer commentary.

I like how everyone on the boat looking at the sea monster is like "OMG!" and the one lady in white is like, "ORLY? Meh..."

Thanks for the input guys. Here's another question; has anyone ever tried running an AGS game wrapped in Wineskin on their Mac? http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-index.php

Silver Spook talks with Jonas Waever, the Chief Creative Officer of The Nameless Mod, the most epic and well-known Deus Ex total conversion mod of all time. Two veteran Deus Ex modders discuss why Deus Ex 1 still shows up in lists of "top 10 games ever", the historical context of the title, and what an indie cyberpunk FPS-RPG hybrid on par with Deus Ex 1 might look like. (Full disclosure: Silver Spook is currently working on an un-announced Deus Ex 1-like game.)

Other topics include a retrospective on The Nameless Mod by it's director, Terminus Machina (Silver Spook's Deus Ex total conversion), the nature of conspiracy in Deus Ex and how things have changed, takes on Blade Runner/BR 2049, Neuromancer versus Snow Crash, why single player narrative games aren't dead, and games industry shop-talk from two commercial indie game developers.

Yes of course, we will have to defeat the Visionaire Studio wanna-bes as well. :)

Oh, and here's another review of Neofeud by Save Or Quit!

QuoteThis game really surprised me in a positive way. All the small puns here and there contributed a lot to my overall enjoyment. I never tired of all the little fun things that popped up every once in a while. Even though the puzzles are mostly really simple and small, the atmosphere and easter eggs make up for them. This isn't a game for hardcore point ‘n' click puzzle fanatics, but this is a game for players who like to enjoy a good science fiction story set in a world that feels familiar and possible in the near future... It is a worthy addition to your steam account if you want a quality, fun story to play through.

Hey guys, it's that time of the year! Help represent AGS on IndieDB and vote for Neofeud. Don't let those Unity, Godot, and Adventure Maker posers steal AGS's rightful throne as best point-and-click adventure engine!  :)
