Hyde and Seek

Story-line:

James Hyde is confined to his room and not allowed to venture outside, except to go to school. His parents disowned him from birth because he is 'different'. But that is about to change.

After reading an old chemistry book on 'Chemicals and the body' James sets about seeking out everyday ingredients in the hope that they will 'CHANGE' him into someone who his parents will accept into their 'family'.

Finding and then choosing the right combination of food stuff is not so easy and at times outrageous or nothing appears to happen, but perseverance is James' key to a successful CHANGE. Remember: quantity is not always best...

The moral of this story is that it only takes a change for things to be so different.

* This game is one room.
* No Save or Load.
* Single cursor for Interact/Use Inventory only.
* Many dramatic effects.

Have you got the perseverance needed to CHANGE successfully?

Mandle has put a lot of effort into this game and as it's a MAG game it was done quite quickly (tell me about that!)  so it's not quite as polished or complete as Mandle would have liked it to have been. None-the-less, the potential is there to build a full game given time.

I wanted to click on the 'live' people (laugh)

Enjoyable game open to further tweaks and improvements.

Well done Mandle for another technique driven game (nod)

The music has indeed been changed to something else (instrumental)... What is in the video was a placeholder as it were.

The game is a bit tricky doing in places, but i will persevere....Meanwhile its going to plan, well almost (laugh)

It was only by playing around with ALL the volumes and adding the Music as Ambient Repeat that I managed to make it reasonable..

But still, it's a pain in the butt...

new game and whenever a sound effect plays the music volume reduces each time...

This has to be an unresolved bug...

Hyde and Seek is coming along nicely.

Most of the mechanics and sprites have be done though there is still quite a lot of work to be done so that should keep me busy for a week or so..

In the Players Walk view, choose a frame(s) and add the footstep sound within the appropriate Frame's property box for each loop.

The footstep sound should be short and use only 1 step sound....

When the player walks the walk sound will play per Frame(s) with the walk sound and stop when the player stops.
