General Discussion / Re: Where is everybody
Wed 02/09/2020 10:08:28
I just wish for everyone to get on.... We all say things and make mistakes at time... we're only human...

I myself have much patient's with newbies and always answer questions as best I can. However, some do not take good advice and the thread can end up in a row...

Khris is a great scripter who does not suffer fools gladly and gets annoyed when people won't listen... This is Khris.... He really is an ok guy...All in all I don't like seeing tensions rising..

Regarding freedom of speech  etc etc, then maybe a 'no holds barred' forum would cover this if people wanted it and it was allowed... One could let off steam...

I have been coming here for years and occasionally you do get an odd awkward... but that's life.

Whilst some forums may not be to everyone's cup of tea there is one for everyone...

Whist AGS is around, long live the forums...

Great to hear we may have more entry's  (nod)

Meanwhile, I have done most of the mechanics and have got a few rooms ready and sorted out a few characters..

The game takes place in a theater where murders have been committed..

"Did the sandbag fall or was it thrown?"
"Who was the shadowy figure on the roof?"
"Maybe a bit of Paganini is called for?"

Play as Dick Casey.....

I am using a variation of my Slasher Template.....

My thoughts at this time:

Hobo
Spoiler

I found the game quite cute with some really good animations (loved the fishing) and the music was fab. I did however, find the graphics a little chunky and unclear, maybe this is just on my computer. However, I don't think it really fits the theme... If you had the boat sink and a picture of a white elephant 'thought' then that would have covered it....
Shame really.   I do look forward to a longer game if you do one.

I liked the bright colours and the way you narrated it. However, it felt a little incomplete with lack of some basic responses...
Overall a good effort and great to have an entry from you ;)

Oof...well, it's finished. (laugh) It's simply titled 'The White Elephant'. I'm working with a five year old, so we did more of a literal take on the theme.

Here's a download link (I think you need to wait a few seconds for the link to become active): http://www.filehost.pt/gmsW

Thanks for hosting these competitions, Stupot!
Nothing downloading / error / wants me to reg...  :(

I'm still only a maybe. I'd have to think of a fairly good idea to do a game on my own.

But if someone wants to work together....
I can help with some ideas and maybe some scripting..

Well, I like a challenge so I guess I'll be in.....  (laugh)

The Rumpus Room / Back to school
Thu 27/08/2020 07:40:52
Here in the UK the Prime Minister (Boris Johnson) has opened up schools... He says that senior schools will need to wear a mask.  The juniors will not need to wear a mask and apparently they will undergo a mist spray to help protect them from the virus. They will all continue social distancing..... What are the schools doing in your country and will you be sending them back?

Of course I don't. My game would be kind of boring to post screenshots of at this point. Assuming it ever does reach a point beyond boring...
I think you should seriously find someone to work with... inspiration etc etc
