Well, there is a little bit of controversy for the origin of the name Smooth

Some would say that I got the name for saying just about the worst things in social situations.

Other would argue that I got the name when I shaved my head on a dare.

Even others would argue that the name comes from the fact that when ever I go fishing the water turns choppy. People would say that my resposne to the question " it's getting pretty rough out here" was always, "No way, it's smooth sailing" and that response would get us capsized or atleast wet our pants.

Choose what you want to believe, I sometimes got with #1 mixed in with a bit of #2. When I get drunk I tell #3 ( it's a better story). By the way, the "H" is capitalized because I modeled the sig off of Todd McFarlane's.

Well, a friend of mine and recent media darling (I'm going to get kicked in the shins for that one) The Ivy, introduced me to the blue cup with her game, Spooks. Though I doubt she thought I would join this forum and embarrass her infront of her internet friends.

ps. she is slightly more sassy in real life than she is on the board.

Yo, I'm SmootH. What up?

I'm new. Really new. But IRL I'm ancient.

Well, I'm Canadian. I'm a programmer/psychologist(it's what my diploma will say).  My hobbies include but are not limited to: Movies (I'm an amateur film critic, also I've worked as a gaffer, grip and script writer), photography,  Comics, I also used to write for one legit newspaper and now I work for a comedy paper, I also love beer and playing cards.

The adventure game that got me hooked was.....*gasp* LOOM! *double gasp* I played it when it first came out. I actually still have the original floppy verison of it. I purchased it on CD when Lucas released it. My favourite games are either absurd like Sam and Max/ Day of the tentacle or cinematic (puzzles are just a way to advance the story) like Leisure suit larry/Full throttle/Grim Fandango.

I'm writing my own game right now. It's going to be short and stupid but I'm using it as an experiment to learn the software. Also, my drawing skillz are not good at all. Imagine a 7' tall dinosaur who wants to be a cowboy. yeah in that vein.

Concepts and script writing is what interst me the most of this but I'll try everything out.

Ivy, "Spooks" is looking pretty good!

One comment though, the Book puzzle might need either a clearer set up or a more explicit clue. I may be alone here but I just lucked out solving that puzzle.

Anyway, It's an interesting game, but its lack of volcanoes and space cowboys can only allow me to give it one and a half thumbs up(out of two of course)
