FIDO!!1

I can't wait to download this game, possible tonight since I have no time right now (dial-up shit) and am downloading the latest release of AGS...

So I'm looking forward to it!

For anyone who hasn't played The Next Curse, it's truly a MUST HAVE.

Piece Down,

--EDIT--
Well ah...
I think I'll wait untill I get unlimited internet access once again...

lol, I accidently screamed out "10 Megabytes!?" when the download window popped up.

Freaking awesome! I love those characters...

Beautiful work, teh, it slaps the cats ass.

The only thing I seemed to have noticed off the bat was Commander Good's belt...it doesn't go all the way around...unless it's supposed to stop there. And the shadows on his arm are kind of too scribbly maybe...but I know it was your fist draft on the costume, so things will most likely change anyway.

GREAT work!

--EDIT--
And the only other thing I can think of (after drooling over your art once more) is that Minion's face looks a bit flat the way the shadows are.

I don't know how, but that damned Global Finder webpage always pops up when I bring up IE and I never even made it my homepage...
I've set it to about:blank about a hundred fucking times now (it works until the next time I use the computer)...how do I get rid of it? Is there any top secret CIA trick to this or what?

Thanks in advance,

Welp, I downloaded and finished the demo.

The good side:
*I like the art style
*The music was good, I love the map song.
*The main character graphics are great. You did a good job in the walk cycle animations.
*I love the animations! (the meeting and the sneaky trick)
*The smoking hobbo I liked and I laughed outloud at this:
Ian: "Did it just get ugly out here?"
Hobbo: "Sure did."
(slight pause)
Ian: "Damn. That one came out of nowhere."

I like the humor so far in what you've shown.
lol, Ian thought he was going to get him, but the hobbo slapped the grease right back in his face :)
*I love the BG style in the woods area! Will there be anymore closeup areas like this later on?

The other side:
*There was no title screen or intro!!!1 Snake NEEDS these things!! :) What I'm getting at is, when you run it, it skips right to the gameplay giving the player not a clue on what they are doing.
*You need to fix the buttons so that you can't see the words behind them (it makes it hard to read)
*When you talk to the soldier guy, the first thing he says is "Yes it is.". I thought it was funny at first thinking it was going to be a joke and Ian was going to make fun of him or something, but it wasn't..must be a bug? They start talking about the led melter right off...
*There are very little descriptions...
*It was too SHORT

Overall, I enjoyed what little you had to present :)

Good job! It looks and sounds like it'll be a great game. I don't really agree with the 800x600 resolution since what you've shown could be done in 640x400 and still look the same (with hardly noticable downgrade in graphics (those little jagged edges)) but other than that, supurb!

The Legend of Leitor's Edge:
Shit might not get done all the time, but something that is, is thoughts. I'm always thinking about Leitor's Edge whether it's puzzles or the storyline.

Rincewind and I have been working quite hard on breaking down the storyline and we are getting closer and closer every time we share the List. Unfortunately Squinky has been unable to participate in the project as of yet except for a few ideas. Vel is doing a great job with character developement and anything related to that. And lastly, the team might be gaining a new member soon.

--Edit--
Poobungies, I forgot to mention how I felt about it...
I'm very excited about this game. It's actually the farthest I've been with the planning part in any of the projects (besides the forgotton game MoNKeY WReNCH). I'm suprised how long I've stuck with it and I plan on sticking with it. I've got a good feeling about it and hopefully the rest of you fools with enjoy it when it is released in 2013.

Har, I guess this is how we tell if we've played these games too many damned times...

Willy Beamish, dinner scene.

Tiffany: "You know, Cliff's father is a millionaire and he's not as old as daddy. He's made a fortune in woman's lingerie."
Willy: "And I'll bet he looks pretty cute in it too..."

Tiffany: "Cliff is like, sooo intellectual. You know what I mean?"
Willy: "Than what's he doin' with you?"

...and my favorite
Tiffany: "You'd have to be a total jerk to get a 'C' in 'Music Appreciation'. You know, Cliff can play the piano with one hand."
Willy: "And what's he doing with the other hand?"

1)   Name three characteristics of a typical adventure game
-Fully interactive scenes, characters
-Interactive with an involving storyline and plot, not shoot 'em ups or platformers
-Intence puzzles that involve immence thinking

2)   What makes it easy to identify an adventure game from any other genre?
Undeniable, the point & click interface, that should be the first thing to nitice. Other than that, you'll find out when you play I suppose. Adventure Games get the player involved in the situations the characters are in and cause them to think and figure out logical situations using their mind, instead of focusing on eye-hand coordination and swiftness (which are mostly what the game industry nowadays are made of).

3)  What makes you choose a game? (e.g. screenshots, reviews, description etc…)
For me it's the description. The screenshots are a good thing aswell, but if the sound of the game doesn't interest me, I definately wouldn't buy it/download it because of it's looks.

4)   When buying a game what information would you like to see on the product or display?
Information about the plot, objective and screenshots. I like games that come in a box instead of just a CD case. I usually look at the bozes first...I just like how they lok Iguess ;)

5)   Name three characteristics of a typical super-hero
-tights
-mask
-cape

6)   They say an image can speak 1000 words, would you buy a game just because of the images displayed on the box? What type of impact do images give to you?
Like I said above, I think the information about the story/plot are more important.

Like I just got done telling you, I love it. I love those faces and the blend of the paint, the "wall" in the background, everything kicks. It slaps the cats' ass, Colossal man ;)

What I told Eric was my theory on what it means. At first it was the obvious. He's diving. But I got looking at it and of course there's got to be a deeper meaning (heh, ask Eric). I got thinking and I think it shows somebody's conflick with life. Whether their about to commit a crime or commit suicide. It looks as if he's just about to make his decision, whether to plunge and cross that line or not...
That's the feeling I got.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of yo art, dawg :P

If any of you haven't guessed yet, Eric and I are boyfriend/boyfriend.

Quotei don't know what i can do to bury a hatchet that was never uprooted with you. do you know how long ago that post about rap was? the beginning of our stay on the YABB forums.
You sure? I was sure it was back on EZBoard... ???

Quoteas for your points. Snake, i think you might be overreacting a bit, hehe
lol! Ass :P

Quoteyou have to give me that what you first wrote was pretty general and that i wasn't stretching to make you a bad person
Right, I understand now, nigga.

Quotei thought that the addition of the terribly scary picture of me grabbing my friend's ass would help to cool and badness that may be interpreted from my post.
It did, I laughed out loud, but yet I looked back on the other coments you made and the tone seemed different. You "sounded" offended and pist.

Quotei didn't choose you to blow up on. raggit had stopped posting and then you posted and i disagreed with something you said, so i posted. it's not like there was a large group of people i singled you out of. i don't hate you and i don't think you're stupid, i respect you as a fellow agser and as a very good artist.
I'm such an asshole. I'm sorry, man. There was nothing wrong with you posting and dissagreeing with something I said...it was just the way I interpreted it all. Next time I'll remind myself to reread the post and think over what I'd like to write before just writing as I go.

Quoteand just to clarify some things:

not all men who wear make up are gay [some are goths! oh dip!]
I know...

Quotenot all men who wear "women's" clothes are gay [some are goths! oh dip!]
Har har, I knew that one too, Colossal man :)

Quotea large majority of gay men don't prance and call eachother girlfriend.
Lol! I know that ;) If you reread my post I say, "What I don't like about particluar gay men...." I didn't say all gay men are the same :P

Quotethere were gay people a long time ago and they had gay sex all the time.
You're right, but what I was saying is that is was way more less tolerated back then than it is now. Now it is more tolerated and is way more open and exposed.

Super Scott!!1 I always wanted to tell you that I love your avatar too...just never got around to it ;)

PS
Eric, don't forget about Saturday night, I broke my date with Rodey.

PSS
Sorry Rode, but he is Colossal...

I'm not sure. It's hard to tell. 2 major factors:

1. The game's resolution is 320x240 which is small, but the game is in highcolor (can't be arsed to learn how to deal with palettes to make it 256, but I like the more graphics options you get with using high color.

2. The soundtrack will consist of all MP3 music. I plan on the music being a seperate download, so doing that should help with file size.

Something else that'll take space is WAVs, which will of course be used for SFX.
