I don't know if I clicked something by accident, but all of a sudden everything here on the forums is centered. It doesn't matter what forum I'm on, but everything here on AGS is center lined.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is it something I've done? :embarrassed:

My old "Junior High" (7th and 8th grade) had those "trough toilets"... I always opted for the stall. There were two of them if I remember right. I'd be damned if I was going to pee next to someone else with no divider @_@

So this was just a side project to keep all of us happy while you work on a new Tulles World, yes?

;)

Fish Tank Trouble would make an awesome adventure game, don't ya think? Sounds catchy ;-D

Hahaha. Can I expect to see this in the future?(laugh)

Wow, that's horrible, Darth  Sorry to hear.

I had it in my hand after cutting it up and on my way over to the fish tank to put it on the intake when I had the thought - it was after smelling it actually, and I thought right then that it may release toxins in the water. I did a bit of googling around first to no avail, and so, as most of my quandaries, ended up here ;) I always know that if I can't find the answer to something or find someone somewhere that has had a similar experience with something by googling, best bet is that I will find them here!

I've been looking around a bit and come to find out, lots of people are buying them for their pets to play fetch at night, as well as toys for their toddlers. Still not too sure about having it in the fish tank, but I do feel a little better about it. I think I may just hold out to find a sponge.
#27
That was pretty funny, Adeel

Ghost, a sponge is what I intended to buy but they didn't have any. I've bought sponges like that there before (Walmart). I looked in the arts and crafts section as well as the paint section (the nearest pet store is an hour away unfortunately). So once I saw the ball after finding no sponges, that's when I thought of that idea.

\\--EDIT--//
Oh, and I of course looked in the pet section... which is the first area I looked ;)

Hi!

We have been having some trouble with our fish tank filter's intake. Over the past 5 years or so we have lost 3 fish due to them being stuck to the intake.

So I had an idea today while shopping and picked up one of those elastic light balls, I guess is what they're called, and had the idea to cut holes in it and put it around the intake so the fish can't get sucked in.

Is it safe to put one of these in my tank? I think it may be okay, but I'm worried there might be a chance of it releasing toxins? I pulled out the light ball inside and cut holes all through it to allow water to flow through in to the intake.

I have found what they call, "Pre-filters" that do the same thing that I have in mind with the ball, but they are pricey (also they didn't have any at the store I was at today) and figured, if this won't harm the fish, why the heck not?

Thanks a lot to you all :)

PS
Here's a picture of what I bought:

The Legend of Leitor's Edge would make a great movie directed by Steven Spielberg.

On a serious note, I second the Trilby games, especially 5 days and Trilby's Notes. Hopefully they would be more directed toward the mystery and thrills rather than turning it in to a hack-n-slash screamer.

A great comedy I think would be the Larry Vales games.

Another great comedy would have to be Charlie Foxtrot and the Galaxy of Tomorrow, perhaps in the vein of the Monty Python films.

I saw Gemini Rue mentioned in Reader's Digest quite a few months ago, or maybe a year. I can't remember. It was pretty cool. If I ever find it I'll scan a pic.

(after a quick look online)

I found it, but it's a pain to get to since you have to painfully sift through 20 of 22 images letting shit load. You know how it goes. I'll save you the trouble.

The title was, "21 New Games and Fun Apps to Brighten Your Day"
As I was looking through the pics just now I don't remember seeing all of those. I believe in the actual magazine there were only a few that were pictured and Gemini Rue was one of them.

Here's what they say, "If you like sci-fi novels, try: Gemini Rue (wadjeteyegames.com)
A sci-fi adventure in the tradition of Blade Runner and Total Recall, Gemini Rue puts cinematic gameplayâ€"complete with a compelling storyâ€"right in the palm of your hand. Available on iOS."

I understand Blade Runner, but Total Recall? There was an adventure game of the movie?

BUMP!

Hey guys, I wanted to bump this thread to give a chance to anyone that may have missed it. The link is in the initial post.

Don't hesitate, now! Give it a listen and let us know what you think!

As a reminder we have another song in the final editing/mixing stage and a new song in early production ;-D

AGS Band: Pixel Hunt
Hey folks we have amazing news! After what seems like 15 years we have released another song! Without further ado: We present In the Line of Fire! What a title! I know.

We'd love to know what you guys and girls think about it!

As you can see it's not much of a video yet. We could seriously use some help of this community: Do you have ideas? Then you are obligated to make a video for us! There's just no way around it! Get started!

Well, here's our 2nd original, In the Line of Fire. We hope you like it :D

Thank you everybody. It sure is tough. I've had a lump in my throat all morning. The daily routine has been shifted. Every morning my wife and I would listen to her in the living room literally tip-toeing and creeping towards the bedroom door so she could see us (or more so my wife, she kind of stole her away from me years ago lol)...funny as hell. This morning was the first without it.

The last couple of days I think she just gave up. She wouldn't eat or get up to go outside... I think she knew it was time, as we knew it was getting closer. We made plans to put her down on Monday, but she got worse within a few hours and so I called the vet back. She's definitely in a better place now, she's resting those old bones.

I know it's pretty cliche being that it's a dog thing and all, but she LOVED playing fetch. Even up until the point where she couldn't run very fast or far anymore, she would still bug us with sticks, tennis balls, pieces of wood and even rocks! The damn dog was a monster! She'd even get pissed if you didn't pay attention to her lol I would do this thing where I would take the stick or whatever out of her mouth and drop it in front of her and say in my little doggy voice, "Oops... sorry, Dennis" (Dennis was a nick name)... boy that would REALLY piss her off XD Anyway, thanks again to everyone and your stories. It feels good to read them!

She was the best dog in the world. I've had her since she was a puppy. She was 13. She was a yellow Labrador retriever.

She was well mannered, she was super smart and lots of fun to play with and also lots of fun to TEASE! She had such a personality. She would knock at the door when she was ready to come back in the house, which I was FINALLY able to catch her doing AND record last week.

SO many things I can talk about but too little words I have at the moment to say... I figured I would post this and if someone else would like to get the ball rolling with great animal stories that would be awesome :)

Amy was a big part of me and my family. I love her so much and she will be missed greatly.

Mandle, you are right. locking them makes them immovable.

Ryan, thank you very much for the tip! I can align them any way I'd like now. But out of curiosity, why is it like that? Like I said above, I don't remember it ever being that way... how it "snaps" now... I wish I could shut it off.

I don't think I've ever been so annoyed. I like to tinker with things and set them where I think they look best.

What is the deal with AGS snapping to the top of each control? I am trying to move some labels around pixel by pixel to get them where I want...but this is impossible. Please tell me I can shut this off some where :~(

I've looked in the General settings but unless I've missed it I didn't see anything about it. I skimmed the manual, but, pfft, how the hell am I supposed to find it there?

Please excuse me, I'm just a little frustrated. I've been working on something all day and NOW, with something as simple as clicking and dragging a GUI label around, I am forced to write this. I don't remember this being this way. I remember being able to move things on the GUI at will.

I am using ver 3.2.1

I'll check those out, Rick, thank you :)

Ponch, I have that and it's a blast...I just need someone else to play it with me :(

Hi guys,

I'm sorry if this is already being discussed somewhere, I did a quick look-around and didn't see anything.

My wife has been trying to find a way to see the Olympics. Apparently if you do not have a cable provider NBC won't let you watch it via Live Stream. This is stupid IMHO since NBC was always free over-the-air. Unfortunately all we get over-the-air without some kind of antennae is CBS and PBS.

Anyway, two things:
1. Is there a way that any of you are viewing the Olympics live without the requirements above?
2. She doesn't care if she can't see it live, so seeing it a day later is perfectly fine. Any place I can get her hooked up? (I haven't checked Hulu yet but I will in just a moment, we have a subscription with them...)
