QuoteI am waiting "MoNKeY WReNCH"! Make it ready! NOW!
Well, lately I've been working tons on Leitor's Edge...see my quote below for my reasons...
Quote...I seem to be jumping from project to project every time my mood changes. All these games will be completed, just not right away since I'm making all of them bit by bit. If I get bored with one, I stay busy by working on another...

I'm sure my Monkey Fever(TM) will come back soon...today I listened through MW's soundtrack...and listening to it makes me want to work on it. So I'm sure when I get bored working on LE, MW will be the next victom ;)

Come on guys, this post is about The Adventures of Jon Rutherford, NOT how much your games are going to be better...

(But it definately won't be better than any of my 257 games...)

I'm just kidding, Tails  ;D I like the graphics, so I giver some thums up. It sounds pretty damn cool to me  8) It reminds me of old-school AGS games...which is great! and the story sounds fun. Can't wait for the DeMo!
Keep up the good work!

Azure: Yeah, of course Allie would need a voice :) I'd love to hear a sample of yours...

I'd also love to hear from the other girls, Dragon Rose, OTG...and any I've forgotton about...hehe

Here's your line for any takers:
"That's the last straw, Hirum! Screw you and your orphans!"
or if you'd rather (although the above line will infact be in the game as one of the bad ends) say anything you'd like ;)

Remember, it's pronounced - Hi + Rum ... Hirum

I think it would be fun to hear like an audition type thing...heh...eventhough it's way before due...

ps- shut your mouth, Hendrix ;) I'm more crap than anybody here

Thanks everyone.

Squinky, I've thought of that shortening idea aswell. Pretty much I think that's what I'll do. Leitor's Edge for example won't be very long to begin with. Monkey Wrench can be shortened quite a bit without ruining it. And Evil Night, I was thinking of instead of making just a trilogy, I could split it up into like a mini series type dealy...but I'd rather stick with the trilogy idea and just shorten them a bit.

(I've replied to your e-mail, Squ0nker)

Please go here:

It would be too much to remake this, so please just go here instead...

The Life of Marty Shore
The game is about, you guessed it, a teenager named "Marty Shore". He's almost a perfect model of my personality, and the game itself is very inspired by my favorite adventure, "The Adventures of Willy Beamish".
The object of the game is to get the girl "Julie Fraser" to be Marty's girlfriend. So just imagine all the wierd predicaments you'll get into.
The story is told through Marty's eyes. He'll narrate throught the game. Remember that show "The Wonder Years"? Like that. As you meet new people during the game, Marty will let you in on who they are and what he thinks of them, the same goes for locations etc...

Here are some images:

The End

Mmm, mathclass. What a great way to end the day. There's Dexter (the one with the crazy hair) sitting at his desk not knowing really what the hell is going on, or what Ms. Larson is writing about. Only if he'd pay attention and stop drawing pictures of carnavorous mountain goats tearing village people apart. Triangle Omnibus what?? Hinglebender who? Screw him!1!
The first in the "The End" series. In this episode of "The End" Dexter (the protagonist) accidently discovers that the whole school faculty are aliens in human "constumes" and are plotting to destroy the human race to inhabit the earth as their own in order to save their species.
The Storyline for this game is around 60% complete.

Evil Night

Night has fallen. The dead have risen. Every pet we've loved has turned against us. Every animal we've feared now hunts us. The first game in the series about the end of the world.

The Legend of Leitor's Edge

(Lay.ter)
Seth Reece and a couple of his friends get talking one night. The subject of legends and myths come up.
The most popular legend amoung the people of the town is the one about Leitor's Edge. It is said that a man, decades ago, jumped off that cliff, which is located just on the outskirts of town, in an attempt to committ suicide. His body was never found, like he just dissapeared. No trace what-so-ever. Some say that he was sent to an alternate reality. Some say he was sent through time. It is also said that there is a book written about it somewhere, though this book was never presently witnessed first hand. Supposedly in this book are stories told by survivors that have tried it and came back. Some didn't return until several days later after plunging into the water. The legend claims that this "portal" can only be accessed during the last hour of the summer solstice and is located directly under the cliff's peak just below the surface of the water.

Fact or Fiction?
Seth is about to find out...

(this screenshot with the house in it is going to change since the BG is a work in progress)

NO RELEASE DATES ON ANY GAMES
Whichever one comes out first depends on my mood and any possible (if any) motivation from you all.
You can put your opinions on which game sounds best and which game you'd like to play most, here.

I decided to create this games compilation since I seem to be jumping from project to project every time my mood changes. All these games will be completed, just not right away since I'm making all of them bit by bit. If I get bored with one, I stay busy by working on another...

I won't be on the forums much anymore, so the main point of this thread is to show what I've got going. I hardly have any time anymore to work on them and I'm just unmodivated. I've been thinking of saying the hell with AGS all together, but why would anyone do that? That's crazy.
So in anycase, I hope at least 1 person is looking forward to 1 game.

Neole:
QuoteFor one, people wont be able to cycle thru the icons with right click.
I don't like the idea of cycling the cursors, personally. I think sometimes it is tedious where you want a specific cursor, and you skip it, making you scroll again. Har har, I usually do that and it irritates me ;)

QuoteAlso, people are more used to moving the cursor to the top/bottom of the screen to bring up the GUI.
I agree 100%. But I want something that's just a tad bit different from every other game. I like the idea of having it at the bottom instead of the top aswell. In anycase, don't people have to get used to each games individual differences? This interface still isn't final yet. I've been brainstorming a bit, but there won't be anything final until I release the real demo.

Mat:
Quote...what does the different commands of your GUI, like the tail?
The first 4 are the default regulars; interact, look, talk and walk. Since Hirum has a tail, he is able to use that aswell for different things. Something you might like is that Hirum will have to learn how to use his tail, since he was only turned into a monkey the day before. So he's not quite used to it yet. During the course of the game, he get's more adapted to his abilities.

QuoteEverything isn't so obvious that you think "okay, it's like that.", if you know what I mean.
I'm planning on adding a text thingy to show what does what when the mouse hovers over it.

QuoteBy the way, that Hirum have no vinsible mouth, is that inspired or taken from Croc: The Legend of the Gobbos where the gobbos (cute little troll-like creatures) have no mouths vinsible because of all that fur? Just wondering.
Never played it. It how I imagined him in the game. Looks cute and maybe a little cuddly, but he's got one hell of a devious mind ;)

Barcik:
Quote* Barcik gets in line to beta test the demo.
Can if you really want to  ::)

I've finally got some REAL screenshots for ye. I'm saying real because the last image (shown on the first post and in the critics lounge) was just an idea of what it would look like.

In other words folks, I've finally gotton off my ass ;)
Hope you like 'em...

This shows Hirum standing in Allie's room

Right-clicking brings up the GUI

Ah, I don't think I'll be using that ;)

Let's stay on topic now, no more boob talk ;D

And just for fun, if I was to make this a talkie, who would want to do voices? I'd like to make it a talkie, but I'm concerned about quality in sound and most importantly, acting :p Of course I shouldn't worry about a talkie until it is done, but what the hell.

uPDaTe:
I've recieved Squinky's frogger-type game, and with a few more features, it'll be perfect for a specific event that takes place early in the game (but not in the demo...HA!).

SNaKe: "So this is what's been going on since I've been gone... ... seriously, you perverts make me sick. I wish you would concentrate more on wanting this game than flaunting over boobs :( You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Can't you be mature for once? (starts to walk away in discust)"
aLLie: (pulls her shirt back down) "Damn you, Snake!"
*waits until Snake is out of sight*
*strips down*

CRoWD: "WoooT!"
SNaKe: (starts walking back) "Ah, what the hell! HOOWAH!1!"

uPDaTe:
Little progress has been made, but more will come, I promise. I've got an updated thingywingy text file hoodily for Squinky to read and look over, so I'm waiting till I see him to give it to him. Squinky's also got some cool-ass ideas for mini games (one idea includes a frogger type game).
