Playing live shows will present quite a challenge :P

Not necessarily. I've heard this crazy rumor that apparently AGSers can connect to an AGS game via the intertubes. All you guys need are some sprites and and an audio feed.

Ooh! You can be the warm up act before the AGS awards! (Or you can play at the after party!)
You are brilliant, Ponch!

Quote from: Darth Mandarb...but if a shepherd loses 20 sheep a year to wolves and 1 to coyote...
Quote from: Ryan Timothy...Because 19 of the 20 cats that ran away and didn't return were more than likely hit by a car...
Quote from: Darth Mandarb...if 20 cats were eaten in a year and 19 of them were eaten by this neighbor and 1 was by a dog it would be logical to think the neighbor did it...
I'm starting to think that Rick just wanted us to do fucking word problems >:(

I second what Darth said. Before Duals' made the first post I had already figured it would turn into such a thing at some point. How can it not?

I've never met Rick, but I do know him enough from here on the forums and personal messages to know that he's pretty damn smart. Actually, he's the smartest person I've ever had the privilege of knowing.

He's not jumping to conclusions or blindly pointing fingers saying, "HEY! The neighbor's from a country that eats cats! I bet it was him!!1!". He's obviously written a sort of check list with all the possibilities he could think of, ruling them out one by one. Now, judging from the evidence he's gathered, he's concerned that this guy could be a serious possibility, hence posting here.

Go easy on the guy.

That's horrible, Rick :(

I hope your neighbor hasn't eaten him and he comes back. At least I hope he is with somebody who thought he was a stray.

Best of luck to you and most of all, Tuqu...

This may be a lame attempt at lightening the subject a little but, I am actually serious: Maybe now is the time adventure game skills can come in handy in keeping an eye on that bastard yourself ;)

I am part of that 2.0% as well.

I've been using Opera since I found the AGS community back in '00 or '01 or whenever the hell it was. Before that I used IE of course, but it was only a year at the most because I didn't have internet access until '99 or '00. Then soon after that somebody mentioned Opera on the forums. I haven't looked back since - with IE it isn't that hard anyway.

I want to say thank you to those that nominated Matt to the Future for best demo. Maybe it'll go further than Castle of Fire did back in '08.

But only with your vote!

So vote before you get devoured by an enormous zombie porcupine!!1

This story sounds grrRREAT!! (who am I referencing there, eh? EH??)

Seriously though, I love the story.

Are those screenshots of cutscenes, or does the entire game play like that? If the former, please post two more screenshots of the gameplay.

Well, it depends, as it will work in my case since I have already mentioned I'll let this nick stay for a while and so it's just perfect to address me by the honourable name of Iceboty from now on!
Heh

I read it as Icey Botty. Which reminds me of Bicilotti :D

On the subject of letting the nick stick (rhyme not intended), this is the first time I've ever changed my nick. I felt very awkward changing it.

Which reminds me to change it back...

I don't know if your birthday is over for you yet, Icey, but today isn't over for me yet!

HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

There was a board game that someone made with AGS years ago, but unfortunately I can't remember the name. Maybe someone here remembers it? I think it was back in the DOS engine days.

With the TCP Plugin, I would LOVE to see an AGS Board game that would be able to be played with players at home, vs the computer and players online. I love board games.

Here's one I just happened to find, but the link doesn't work.

QuoteAlso we can determine if it's a previous/current AGSer using a new account and take action on both accounts.

I agree with Stupot.

I would love to read this when it's finished :D

My game Castle of Fire is a tribute to the Atari 2600 game, Dragonfire (no, that's no me in the video!)...

Please, somebody lock this.

General Discussion / Re: Movie Suggestions?

Stand By Me, maybe? It's based on one of Stephen King's stories. It's got River Pheonix, Jerry O' Connell, Corey Feldman and Will Wheaton in it.

4 young friends set out on an adventure. Geordie, Chris, Teddy and Vern go looking for the missing body of a local teenager - found by a gang of older boys.

If you have NetFlix, you can watch it instantly... unless they've switched it out.

AGS: A post above, obviously and seriously.

What the hell's wrong with King Snake??
#439
Firstly, I'm very happy to see more done on this one. Looks great!

Also, I agree with Kris with thinning the zeros. They are VERY distracting. Have you considered taking them out (the preceding zeros, I mean)? It makes reading the stats a bit hard, at least for me.

Something in here smells of Stan and Sancho and Pirate Provencher's Gold...
