Completed Game Announcements / Re: THE BUM
Mon 29/04/2013 13:32:25
EXCELLENT! This is one I've been looking forward to!

Downloading now! I will play sometime today, if not immediately after download... I am home today to take care of a sick wife and daughter, so an AGS game is a perfect thing for me to do in the meantime (besides work on one myself *winky-wink*)

Quote from: Bush_MonkeyIt's so simple (as long as you own the relevant game)
You must mean
Spoiler
the Twilight Princess hack?
[close]
I've read about other ways to do it though which don't include that... or maybe I've misunderstood you?

Quote from: Stupot+That's pretty cool.  I don't own a wii, though :(
GAH! The Wii isn't for everyone anyway, it DOES have a library full of shitty games. Some are good though :)

Quote from: CaptainDMaybe not quite adventure gaming, but I think the CSI games have made it onto Wii too.
Yes, they have been. I actually saw one this weekend and almost bought it... until I saw Indy! There was another Indy game too, which I think was the one following "The Staff of Kings". Really wish I grabbed it now.

What a great surprise I got last night whilst playing "Indiana Jones and the Staff if Kings". On the main menu there is an "Extras" option. Here you can find movie trailers and other stuff. I saw something called, "Extra Modes". There are a couple online modes (that I am curious to see what they are, but I do not have enough "Glory Points" (no, not "Glory Holes", you perverted bastards) to unlock them) and at the bottom of the list I see, "Fate of Atlantis".

O_O

"Can it be??", I say.

I click with my mind racing, "No way! Could this be the adventure game!!?", "It's probably something stupid, like pictures or something to read telling of the past adventure games with Indy...", "But wouldn't that be fuckin' awesome if it was the GAME??!!"

Holy shit.

:O

It is, in fact, "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis", right here, on my Wii. @_@

Sah-Weet.

I have unfortunately never had the pleasure of playing that game and now I can. I'm not sure if there were talkie and non-talkie versions, but this one is the talkie version.

So I enjoyed a little FoA last night and plan to play again in a little while. What a great surprise! I finally get to play one of the best adventures :D

I must say that I am impressed with the amount of animations and quality of music, sound effects and art. Great game so far and I'm only at the beginning. I'm an asshole for expecting LESS from LucasArts. What was I thinking?! Honestly, I'm really not sure WHAT I was expecting, I guess.

I thought I'd share this!

(any discussions?)

PS
Sad to hear about LucasArts, btw. When I came to post this, I found the thread :(
What a shame... all though I can't say I'm sad to see a slow-down in Star Wars titles :P
Bring back the good shit, please ;)

\\--EDIT--//

I forgot to express how well it plays on the Wii with the Wiimote. I always thought the Wii would be a perfect console for adventure games, and I still believe so. Now it gets me to wonder if there are any other Adventure Games available on the Wii. Do any of you know of any?
I know I could install the Homebrew channel and install DosBox or SCUMM or some shit to play some of them, but I'm too scared to brick my Wii.

1. A Harrow of some sort? I thought disc harrow at first, but I don't think they have wheels. Tracker = the four legs in front and the harrow = the two legs in back. The hungry = the cows

Make a game in one year... awesome. I've been "working" on the same title since '03, I guess I can be counted out as well ;)

Good luck, Grim. You are a talented and motivated fellow, I wish you the best of luck and I look forward to seeing the finalized team you gather :D

QuoteMy friends aren't much of adventure game players.  Honestly, I am thinking about ending our friendships because of it.
Don't be silly. At least try to convert them before canning them ;)

EDIT
And your game looks very interesting!

I feel I grown just a bit, not much though. Sometimes, especially on IRC, I can be the same ignorant little air-head I was back in '01. And no facial hair growth for me either... well, SOME, but I still look 16 and always get carded for tobacco products :(

I'm very sorry to hear this, Peder :(
My heart goes out to you and your family. Times like this are tough. The only thing you can do is be there for your family, as they will be for you, and don't stop remembering him. Keep those memories close.

Awesome work, Jan! Simply amazing that you made this in 2 months!
I guess it goes to show what you can do when you actually know what you are doing @_@

What a day to leave for the army, I must say it's not a very good birthday present... but that's selfish of me. I will miss you, Dualie. Over the years we've grown to be pretty good friends. Like I've told you a million times before, you are the best friend I've never met. You are one of those people I look forward to seeing every week. Maybe it's a good thing you started to not show up at the band meetings! You were weening me, weren't you, Jimbini!? ;)

(lol, I just reread the above... it's only 9 months, Snake! Christ, he's not leaving for good!)

I have no doubt you'll do a great job and I'm sure it'll be quite the experience for you as well. Keep in touch! We all will be looking forward to hearing from you from time to time!

Bring snacks? You can't drink those :P

And NOW look at you! YOU MONSTER!!1

How the fuck did I miss this?!!

GAAAH! I've got money saved for a new guitar amp at the moment, so unfortunately this is going to have to wait for just a LITTLE bit :(

But you can bet your pantaloons, Vince-baby, that I'll be purchasing this ASAP. Been waiting a long time for this masterpiece! Great to see it's out!

I understood what you were going for, Frito, don't be too worried :)

The Colorado shooting has been all over the news, it's absolutely horrible.

Not a huge Batman fan myself. I saw a few commercials for it and I thought it looked OK... certainly a hell of a lot better than the one with Jim Carrey in it...GAH!

I agree with what Trampoline has said. This game looks and sounds like a good one to keep an eye on.

Yes, there are new songs on their way. I've had a bit of trouble with microphones lately, so that has been holding us back a couple weeks :(

Eric, we may consider that some time :)

Thanks, Tzachs!

General Discussion / Re: Rape Jokes

I remember it being funny as a kid to yell out, "RAPE!" or "PENIS!" on the school bus. I'm not too sure I can remember any rape jokes, let alone any that made me laugh.

We always took turns mixing the songs, but it would help if somebody would be an exclusive mixer :)

\\--EDIT--//
DKH, do you have something for us to hear that you have mixed?
