Awesome. So we might see an Alone in the Dark or Resident Evil-type adventure game in the future?
#662
Crimson, I don't know why you are taking the heat for this. Your comment was the lesser of the bad responces.
#663
All of you are assholes. I thought the forums were better than this.

Shaun, if you need help with drawing characters, you can post some of your own work in the Critic's Lounge and you will get some help.

If your question was actually HOW you make a character HOLD an object, this is indeed the right place to post this question.

Good luck in the future.

@Proggy: Thanks. Someone said something to that effect years ago too.

@GG: ;)

@Ponch: It'll be finished whenever it gets finished. There is no release date in the near future, or far at that.

@Vel: This didn't take me years to work on, Velly, probably a couple of weeks fiddling around with it here and there. Drawing the actual background is what took the most time. As time went on, there was a year or so I didn't even think about this game, life took hold and all that happy horseshit. After that came the realization that the story needed to be tweaked a bit. Tweaking ended up being a complete rewrite, and another after that. The story was too depressing and dark and was falling way too far away from what I had originally wanted for this game. Rewriting and having to take out all kinds of shit I loved and grew SO accustomed to, because it didn't work with the new story, wasn't very fun for me. It dragged on and on.
Now David and I have a final story we love and are working on the finalization of the main characters and their backstories. We're taking it slow and steady this time, trying not to make the same mistakes. What I like the best is that the story is more adventurous and light-hearted than the old one. I'm much happier with it now than I ever was.

Sorry if this has dissapointed you, but this was only a gift for those that haven't forgotten about it and are still holding some sort of hope that they will see this game completed one day - the few that there are anyway. I think about you guys every time I think about this game and how much I wish I never announced it in the first place. It's collected so much hype over the years it's rediculous. I'm still puzzled at how well, and not to mention quickly, it got excepted when all I had to show for it back then was a screenshot (which wasn't even finished at the time) and a synopsis.
And because of this I'm afraid that all it's going to lead to is dissapointments, much like it already has. So we'll see.

QuoteAside from that, anybody else disappointed that this isn't actually Roger Wilco with the default sprites?
lol! Me too! BLaRGH!

Anyway... um, TheRoger, good luck with your first project! I love the Guybrush action figure, by the way ;)

\\--EDIT--\\
Your main character kinda looks like Yahtzee (from front). Anyone else make that connection?

@Chicky
The more you play, the better you get. The controls are really good, actually. It also depends on whether you want to play or not. You don't sound like you're into it - ie; feeling like an idiot isn't any way to do anything, you have to be comfortable.

@Sinsin
We've had that for about a year now (not that exact brand, the one with the fingerprint on the front) and it's been good to us so far. Hopefully Nintendo was talking out their ass and just wanting you to buy their brand ;)

@SSH
When are you on? I haven't been on in a few days (played a little tonight) and I haven't seen you on yet. It FINALLY friended you!
#667
Eddie, just letting you know that I downloaded this last night but didn't have a chance to play it yet. Hopefully I will today!

I can't wait! I'll let you know what I think as soon as I play it :D
#668
It is not abandoned.
#669
Wow, this is looking amazing!

Sorry, guys. There is no notification for when you find all 8. I thought of putting little red flags or some sort of marker for when you find each, but I didn't want to take away from the atmosphere any more than I had already done with all the little notes I through in during the intros.

I'm glad you are enjoying it, nonetheless :)
#671
AWESOME! Can't wait! Is there a specific time to look for?

Don't get too excited!

I've decided to fix up and recompile the near zero progress I made with Leitor's Edge back in 2003.

I figured I'd release this version as a gift to those of you that are STILL patiently awaiting this game after all these years.

It includes the unfinished intro sequence and the unfinished first "playable" scene.
Besides fixing some spelling errors, adding in some hidden "Fun Facts" and additional information about this original version, it is still intact as the same version I worked on back in 2003.

Nobody has ever seen this, including David Olgarsson... so enjoy!

No... she's not naked, there's a towel there ;)

General Discussion / Re: Memory problems
Thu 04/03/2010 19:15:08
That is great advice, Andail. I have the same problem. I'm only 28, but it seems that as the years go by, my memory gets worse. No drugs for me, but I do drink a significant amount of alcohol during the course of the afternoon. I'm not falling down drunk, passing out, stumbling, sluring words or anything, I'm still coherent and able to function. My wife drinks more than me and there's nothing wrong with her memory. On the subject of alcohol...

*takes swig of ale*

;)

Anyway, twice this morning I went into the bedroom to get something and as soon as I walk across the room, I go blank. What the hell was I getting? 5 minutes later I'd remember. This happens quite often.

Sometimes I can be in the middle of a conversation and forget what I was talking about, hours later I'll remember, but by then it's insignificant to what we are talking about at that point - so me being excited that I remembered what I was saying is in vain. Luckily by nightfall I have alcohol as a disguise and to use as an excuse.

It is quite the serious problem, InCreator, I know exactly how you feel.

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Deity
Tue 02/03/2010 00:22:26
Hello, there!

VERY interesting game. I've only played for about a second (I tried going upstairs and then I went into the dining room all the way into the kitchen and I quit). I think I may want to wait until you change your descriptions when looking at stuff. I don't like being made to feel like an idiot when I look at whatever I look at.

I want to play, but please fix the descriptions. Horror games (or any game) shouldn't treat the player like they're an idiot ;)
#678
My GOD, this is insane! Great work! I can't express how excited I am ;D

Amazing :=

I find it insultive and unfair that I didn't get the life time achievement award, when every other Tom, Dick and Harry on this forum has got one.

What the hell are you talking about? I didn't get shit!
#680
All I have to say is, "WOW" so far...
Great work :=
