Calin, that video's pretty sweet. I agree, it must have taken forever to make that video work. Imagine all the time in testing to see if the audio is sync'd(?) with all the different things Mario is bumping and bouncing on (or Vice versa rather), not to mention the time in creating the levels themselves to match the song.

But yes, I guess I must agree that if there is a good demographic spread within those 1000 people, it might be more close to truth. But yet, like 10 people, 1000 is still a small amount to be labled as the majority.

Obviously I don't know much about statistics and how they are worked, so I'm all done discussing it. I just don't like how Calin's views are influenced by reading statistics. If they are not, it's just how it sounds and I'm sorry.

So if you honestly think that way, then you must think that same way for race? You must. You can't really say what you just said, mean it, and not think the same way towards race. So you won't judge one black or chinese guy (whatever ethnic background), but you'll judge the whole lot of them? Am I right? Probably not, eh? And stop with statistics, I'm asking YOU.

You know, statistics are what they are, but, none of the people I've ever known through my entire life (which is quite a lot - not to mention all the people THEY knew), nobody was ever involved in any of these serveys. No matter what you do, statistics aren't going to be 100% correct unless you get everyone to do it.

If you get 10 people to do a servey (ten is just an example) and 6 of them are bible thumpers and 4 are not, no matter what you do, the servey will always be 60% for the bible thumpers. These 10 people do NOT represent the entire human population. It's rediculous sometimes.
Let's grab another 10 people randomly. Now there's 6 people who do not believe in God but the other 4 do. Now this servey says that 60% do not believe. Can you see what I'm getting at here? It all relies on the people you get at the time.

I've gone off a bit I think. Sorry if the above doesn't make much sense, I had a hard time trying to explain what I was thinking.

I'm an American who likes British accents.

I have no idea what the differences are, though. I know there are different variations depending on where you are from, but it does not make me ignorant, I just do not know. I never acquired that knowledge. I've never been outside the USA. Would I like to be? Yes. Will I ever? There's more of a chance of me strapping cardboard wings on my arms and making it safely to the ground from the roof.

I agree that we as individuals shouldn't judge each other based on where we are from. It's just as bad as basing our outlook on someone because of their religion, race, size or disabilities. It'll never end though, that's the sad part. People, no matter where they're from, will remain to be this way.

Phemar, I can't seem to download it. I click and nothing happens. I also save target as... but that does nothing as well.

Hmm, maybe that's what's happening. Maybe I'm just playing midis before this happens. It IS rare that I play a midi file. Last night I listened to one and hadn't used AGS after that and shut down. So that's most likely why it was all the way down this morning.

Nice game so far, Green Boy! I laughed right away on the title screen when he says;
"I'll be there as soon as I can."
Then proceeds to stand there and smoke a cigarette.

Chris, I can't seem to make it happen again. I've shut down the computer and restarted a couple times but the MIDI Synth is still where I put it after trying to run any game, whether it be a completed game or through the editor. Strange.

Before I tried anything this morning, the control was all the way down, which was very odd since I hadn't run any game yet, although I did have the AGS editor open.

The procedure I tried was:

First I just restarted after setting the control where I wanted it. I opened up Volume Control and started AGS. No change. So I started a finished AGS game and no change. I then started my game in through the AGS Editor and the same thing, nothing changed.

So I thought, maybe the computer has to be shut down, since after I turned it on this morning, the midi control was down.
So I shut down and waited about 5 minutes and turned it back on. I went through the same precedure from above and got the same results.

It could possibly be a random thing, could it?

For some reason AGS games turn the MIDI Synth control on Windows' Volume Control all the way down at game start.

I've got two questions:

1.) Why do they do that?

and

2.) Can I prevent this from within the script and make it stay on at least 50%?

I've looked through the multimedia functions but I've found nothing for controlling, I don't know what you'd call it, external volume control.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that it doesn't do this every time, it only seems to be the first time I run an AGS game.

I think it's looking that way too, Phemar. I've looked for the past ten at least and I get nothing.

Would anyone be intersted in making that midi file for me? I probably have to ask in a different thread/forum, don't I?

If someone is interested, I need it to start at the "Monchichi Monchichi, oh so soft and cuddly..." part.
