Waaaah, as usual, progz makes perfect edit lol. Now I feel that all my pointers were useless X3.
Anyways, nice new av Progz XD made me like "WOAH!", I kinda like it better than the aligator :)

when the body goes down belly should go up, and when body goes up belly should go down. Kind of opposite force movement. It had it's own name, cant remember it now. You know, like you start runing and if you have long hair they will go back and when you stop or jump back they go forward.
The bounce looks REALLY good to me, it's just off the right frames. It'll be perfect after small correction

*EDIT* Oh and try making this small led light on his headphones blink as in the idle yawn, might look cool :) or maybe even one red blink and then one green blink :)

Aww so cute...It could use a fluffy white bunny too!

Ok. First of all, I suppose it's not meant for low resolution adventure games (way too high for that).
Now, the colors need to be more contrasted, I didnt even realize that his face was shaded until I mafnified the picture. Also you may want to make bigger shadow areas, not just some lines, it makes his face look all wrinkled.
Hair look fairly ok but his clothes are too intense on color, try desaturating. Besides you should try to make the light come from his left or right not from in front of him (if it's too much a trouble, try remembering it for the next time :) ).
Oh and if you make solid lined lineart try keeping the same width everywhere (ie 1 pixel), it gets much wider in his shoulders, you should erase it and make it more of an arc.

See? that's LOTS better :) Great work. I can see you're getting hang of it :) Congratz!

I think there's one dark brown pixel blinking on his shirt.
The gentle movement of the frindge would look nice on the back walk too :)'

Bouncy tummy would be fun but this would probably get too complicated :P

Progz as always bringing me down to my knees :)
Need to practice more X3
#347
There should be at least 1 pixel shadow on the left part of the dress too, it's covered by the red material you know :)

I made my version of shading, it's not perfect but I think that with the light from the left it should look more like this...
Some pople on the forum would probably make 10 times better edits :)

Yes. The hand movement in the side walk is wrong. It's simply because of that one frame jump to horizontal position. Try walking around a room, you dont rise your hands so high. try lowering them in extreeme frames and it should get better.

I wouldnt mind his tummy beeing one pixel bigger there too :) and some braces movement to the front when he puts his leg forward :)

Instead of standard Use Y on X puzzles, you can have short term memory, dialog topics revolving around referencing characters, or a note system for critical information.

hey short term memory would be nice. As a additional inventory where you put like part of dialogs or something...It would be really fun :) never saw that before! It's easy to vary the puzzle levels then. easy need just one quote remembered and hard need like 3 quotes and presentation of an item. woah... Real fun! I must use it someday 0.o

maybe try adding puzzles based on the dialog? like input text. Then the player would have to understand the plot and think. Be sure to add a journal then :) many people are bad at names and stuff. So I would go for the input puzzles in your case :)

Oh my it's like some sort of conspiracy/zeitgeist thread :) I like this subject though. Remember that besides of what you know from your grandparents (or grand-grand) everything can be fabricated already :P

But for real...I know that there's a lot going on behind the scenes and that things are extreemly bad. The most important thing is not to give up. Be yourself. Be invidual. And try to make your friends like that as well. Always try to get the knowledge by yourself. Dont take anything told to you as ultimate truth. You belive in God? Why? Think about it. Maybe it's because of your parents? Or because all your friends at school belived?
Of course I dont say the God doesnt exist. He may. But be sure that YOU belive in him and have reasons to belive. For me science won with the bible.

Ah...Look at me...I changed the subject...sorry about that :)

I would read Stephen King books...I kinda like him and he wrote so much, I would want to know some more of his work before I die :)
Also, my biggest dream is to leave something behind, something that people will enjoy for years. You know, like those oooold oooold games that people still download sometimes or talk about. So if I was able to make something like that I would work on it as hard as hell instead of reading... But if I couldnt...well... King's books are always interesting :) Or maybe some anime...Sh** there is so much to read and watch...It's a shame that you dont have enough time to get to know it all even if you read books/watch movies whole your life non stop...
#353
you should shade the leafs (at least the nearest ones), so far they are the only ones totally flat there :)
you could also make the sand darker in the background and use dark brown instead of black at the dissapearing bases of the palm trees :)
#354
Ok - first of all - the idle animations look great :) (in my opinion at least), the back walk animation is allright when it comes to legs movement but the wings seem to "jump" quickly from frame to frame (there should be more subtle, slower movement). Also I'm not sure about the bounce in his walk, he seems to bounce up+left and down+right and it's not symetrical as it should be...

And still, you havent posted the side walking animation :)
#355
Here's my latest version. As you can see I kept progz shading of the slime but made it black. This increased color usage so I made the eye red like the lips, now it's only one color more (but it doesnt matter as all the greys are used in main character too). I decided to keep my old hand too but tried to reshade it mostly like progz did (but with character skin tones)

In my opinion braces should look more like a curve not a straight vertical line (in the walking animation), they also should connect with the pants more in the front, now it looks like he had them on his sides. Besides there is no tail on the walking animation. After adding it and giving it a gentle movement it might look lots better :)
#357
Interesting idea but I think the outline is enough :)
I can test it and alter it too just out of curiosity :)
#358
Well after seeing Progz edit I wont get back to the first version :) no chances. But I think I'll at least tinker with it a bit. I'll post it when it's ready but right now I have to do some work for my university :)
#359
Oh man 0.0 Thanks ProgZmax! It looks much more detailed and smooth and keeps the color count at the same place...Wow...Man...I have to learn a lot. But I'm trying my best :)
Now I dunno if I should keep it or not... It will kind of stand out from the rest of my work with it's smoothness :)
Thanks for the help, I'll try to learn from it as much as I can...

It's much more readable and proffesional looking right now :) good choice :)
