some people were complaining about the hand not looking like a hand, more like a nose, so I made another edit. I also changed the skin tones to match those of the character. And here it is:

I'm afraid that my slow paced work wont let me post an animation nor a background anytime soon :) besides, backgrounds are sooooo hard to draw T.T

But with help and advice I get here I will probably overcome it sooner or later :)

I think you should try something inbetween your and progz color set. Your is "dead" and it's ok but it looks too much like some sort of sepia. Like snarky said - it's like put through a filter instead of "natural" look. try to move it at least a bit into orange, to eliminate the greenish color :)

Lol - to be honest the lips are even more of what I am after (opening of rocky horror picture show). Maaan...How can you learn things like that? I mean. The shading you did as well as the colors of the eyelid look great but are not at all obvious how to place them...
Thanks a lot...I'll try to tinker with it some more, test some things..If you have any tutorials on advanced pixel-by-pixel I would be very happy to get a link :)

I also find it odd with the red dot indicating where the interaction is, but the GUI actions are off center.  The eye isn't centered over the red dot and the hand is moved too far to the left.  The bottom saggy strand of slime is also off center.
It's nothing horrible, just looks sloppy.

I made it on purpose thinking like "when you click and hold it shows up with the cursor in the middle where the dot is (it wont be there when it's finished - it's just the center dot for my use when drawing) and then you can decide what to do and slide your cursor there" Is it a bad aproach?, what should be under the cursor after the click then?.
And yes, it will highlite or even change (like the mouth open broadly, hand go into a fist and eye widening with narrowed pupil).
How would you do it?

Orange scheme looks much better too me. More natural sandy feel. Awesome detail edit too I just wonder if it isnt too complicated now...Probably not :P

What is that? I`m sorry but i really don`t know what is this... it`s an alien? Oh, it`s a GUI... Slimer frenquently confuse aliens and GUI`s.
J-

Lol, you're the 2nd person making this error XD Hmmm..Maybe it looks wrong? should I change something to make it look more gui like? any ideas?

I think it looks really nice! I guess the game it will be implemented on won't be a happy one? :D

Yeah :) good guess. You will die as often as in conquests of camelot and there will be a long episode in nightmare reality.

Special thanks again to Evil & PixelPaw (Welcome to the boards again, PixelPaw).

for the second time you call me PixelPaw :) Why? I'm not offended, I even like it :) I just keep wondering why :)

While waiting for your comments on my first character sprite I've done the verb coin gui design and I want to ask you all about an opinion about it (if you point any errors I will be very pleased :) )
#373
Much better on the right side now :) I'm glad that I could help, I'm afraid I don't see anything to make better anymore. Great work man :) I always had problems with backgrounds - esspecially deserts and cliffs

Hey :) I'm no great artist but I had another idea.
1. If the sun is too bright just make it EXACLY the sand color
2. added a small light on the right as it still seemed too flat to me there

As to gerad's idea it might look good but as I recon spacePirate was after small amount of colours and so this is not acceptable aproach :)
#375

Something like that in my mind. Also, the ligth on the sand was much different than the sun color. I made it look more colored by the sunlight, I think it looks bit better now even if you keep your sun idea and darker shadow :)
#376
I would work on the sun. It's just circular right now and very very dim... I'm not sure what should you make about it but it kind of stands out. Also the darkest shade of sand in the foreground doesnt look too good. I would make it a bit brighter or leave it without it.

Okay,
I started up a project with my friend and to be honest I havent worked on anything graphical like games for long years. That's why I feel the need to ask you all about the front view of main character sprite (he's supposed to be grey/black mostly to blend into crowd). Any anatomical problems? Any stupid shading errors :)? Any help appriciated.
