Looking forward to it. Really enjoyed the last lot. Nice and short, so appeals to my low attention span  ;D

I didn't really want to comment on this, but since people like to keep digging it up...

As someone from the Liverpool area, I was 4 at the time of this incident. My brother was the same age as James when this incident occurred.

I can quite confidently tell you that if these bastards identities ever get leaked, they are gone. I think the real concern here for the authorities would be which one of a long list (we're talking a really long list) of people would have got to them first.

They sure as hell aren't worth £250k of taxpayers money.

10 years old is plenty to know the difference between right or wrong. You can be truly evil at 10 years old.

To reflect on previous posts, the reason the press like to bring it up every so often is because they are indeed festering interfering shits. Rather than let something like this lie and allow people to move on, they prefer to reinforce those feelings of hatred in the community - Don't buy the Sun.

The 2 things that will always be remembered in the minds of everyone here are James Bulger and Hillsborough. Not because people can't forget or want to forget, but primarily because they are not allowed to forget.

Don't buy the Sun

I think you should just follow your inner moderator sense of trollish behaviour and if it says the person in question is a troll, you should stomp his ass out of existence. If someone disagrees with your judgement, just pounce on him too. I mean, who cares about fairness when oranges taste so good? =)

What kind of advice is hat? If every new person that comes to the forum and is seen as a troll in darth's eyes, you wan't him to just attack them? That's not friendly. The forum would stop get new knew members who could have been the ones to make really good games.

I think the point to be made here is that he is called Darth Mandarb. Not Luke Mandarb, Qui Gon Mandarb, Han Mandarb, Mandarbacca, Obi Wan KaMandarb or even Princess Mandarb (I hope). He is Darth Mandarb a member of the Sith. I don't remember anything about friendly Siths.

That rolf guy sounds pretty awesome. It's like Yoda has got involved in the drug scene and become addicted. A few years later he is homeless and spends his time between begging, getting his fix, and posting his drug induced wisdom on the forums.

Unfortunately it's very rare someone understands him and so he finds it rare that he has the loose change to spend in the internet cafe. Hence his unfortunate absence from the community.

Either that or he works in a call centre for a large multinational company and they train him to speak that way.

^^ See any troll can be made interesting when you give them a good back story.

Cheers, and I agree.  I'm a member at other places where troll-threads will go on for 50+ pages and I'm also at other places where it won't make it past 5 posts before moderators lock it (this is, obviously, my preference ;))

The only problem I have with locking trolled threads is that the genuine contributors are then punished. However troll created threads should be locked asap. Why let others feed the troll when you want to starve it. I see trolls as mice looking for food, the acknowledgement of there existence (replying to their threads) is like leaving crumbs behind. You can either clean up the crumbs (lock the thread) or not leave any crumbs in the first place (dont acknowledge them).

I am concerned however that this may end up as tasty troll bait. It would be nice if we had an ignore list, that way troll posts are optionally blocked.

I don't think we have any real trolls here though. Just the occasional self centred kid that is convinced his awful ags creation is the next big thing. Immaturity or retardation? Who knows? I think we were all guilty of this when we where younger.

also google "autopatcher".

DRM next. Nimbworks.

And a Nimbus Wallet.

Maybe better to actually have some agreement with commercial devs first though.

Still prefer the Nexus title. Nimbus reminds me of the shit PC things we had when I was in primary school.

Can anyone tell me, in terms of computers, what precisely is an executive?
I know it's basically a kind of user interface, but what's the difference between an executive and a shell, for instance?

Hope this helps.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Architecture_of_Windows_NT#Executive

Essentially a collection of services. Probably things like svchost etc, that are core to the system and loaded first.

Yeah to be honest, I think you're pretty much the clear cut winner Darius Poyer. Congrats, No trophy but if someone with some artistic ability wants to make one for you?

The other contestants appear inactive anyway.

Congrats!!

EDIT: If you want a trophy, I shamelessly stole your entry and goldified it. It's crap, but better than nothing right?  ;D

Your Results

The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.

Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

How did the Belief-O-Matic do? Discuss your results on our message boards.

1.    Secular Humanism (100%)
2.    Unitarian Universalism (98%)
3.    Nontheist (80%)
4.    Liberal Quakers (73%)
5.    Theravada Buddhism (73%)
6.    Neo-Pagan (65%)
7.    Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (63%)
8.    Reform Judaism (54%)
9.    Taoism (50%)
10.    Sikhism (49%)
11.    New Age (46%)

I seem to be included in the dirty atheist package. I would however like to state that I am a passive-agressive  anti-theist.

All religion is wrong. You shall only worship me.  ;D

Happy Birthday Tier!
#196
My entry. It feels like it needs work, but I wanted to contribute something:

The days turned to weeks, the weeks turned to months, and the months felt like they could be years. I had been captive here for almost as long as I could remember, the cell a musty black. I could smell the fear and dread of the previous occupant, who I was pretty sure died here. My cries for help went unanswered, and hope of seeing my family again soon became despair.

My wife and kids were but a distant memory, their faces and features were beginning to fade and I knew I would never see them again. I longed for the day this would be over and my tortured soul could be put to rest.

The blood curdling screams from the other cells where all I had to distinguish between one day and the next. They grew closer, until the cries of agony and anguish could be heard from the nearby cell. I begged for him to stop, the screams only growing louder as I realised my attempts of reasoning where futile.

Finally, silence. I would live another day…

Or so I thought. The sound of the keys jangling and the lock turning as the door creaked open. A ray of colour shone through the room.

A light at the end of the dark…

Would anyone have a problem if we put this to votes?

ie: Post here who you think deserves to win. Winner will be announced on the 15th April.

But then how will anyone discover all my games? ;)

I've played most of your Barn Runner Games  ;)

I think he meant "thong". As in the sexy resource of generic point and click adventures.

To be fair, having a look through the games page, you cant really argue with the guy. the trick is to not download the generic ones  ;)
