Thanks for the comments.Ã,  :)

-yodaman11111 :Ã,  The game basically follows the plot/story line of the LOTR trilogy.Ã,  The story begins in "Hodditon" where you, "Frobo Baddins," are organizing a birthday party for your uncle "Bildo."Ã,  It follows the LOTR story line close enough for you to know basically what is going to happen but is tweaked enough to leave plenty of room for surprises.Ã,  (It does have a satirical sense to it.)

-Ionias: I agree with you :).Ã,  The reason I decided to use the AGI engine for my game was because I loved the text interface as a kid (its where I learned how to type :)).Ã,  When I started my game I didn't realize how involved the process would be.Ã,  I guess I was naive enough to think that it would be an easy/quick game to make.Ã,  Instead I've learned quite a bit of patience...

So it's basically a parody of LOTR?

Yeah, I got an idea for a game from a whole bunch of different things.
#1005
So how is it loosely based on it? I mean, does it totally twist the storyline, does it make fun of it, or does it add stuff to it?

Hey, I am looking to make a game based on the books by Brian Jacques, probably the Castaways of the Flying Dutchman books. I have quite a bit of the first part of the game, and I am also planning on making a game of the Kenneth Oppel Airborn books. Would any of you want to play/make these games? If no one would play them, there'd be no point in making them.

Hmm. I haven't read the book. I heard that it's really good. I am making games based on Castaways of the Flying Dutchman and Airborn. Have you read either of those? Maybe if you 'd be interested, we could help each other make games.

I think you should continue with that project, since apparently they aren't going to make that game (and if they do, it will be 3d, most people nowadays think 2d adventure games suck). If you want to resume the project, I'd be more than happy to help you with it. If you're not going to work on it anymore, can you send me everything you had done on the game so I can continue where you left off?

srry to say this, but I cant seem to find the files back, and it was just a lame idea that I had anyway :). not worthy to be finnished...
anyway, I got a secret I dont want to say just yet, but it will hopefully be able to soon....
and you will understand what I mean when you see that post. :)

what do you mean "when I see that post"?

i uploaded a game onto the ags server thing and I try to download the game and give people the link, but it says error 404 file not found. I let the game fully upload, and it even said: "Here is your file" or something and it gave the link. What should I do about this?

How do I change player characters in my game, as in DOTT or Indy: LC? I looked in the manual but nothing came up.

#1012
Yo, is this game based on the Hobbit or Lord of The Rings? Nice graphics, I know I couldn't do bgs that good.

well once, I saw someone, they put up something, it said" PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!" and it was 1000000 dollars. The thing was an electronic smiley face. Go figure. No bids on it, anyways.

i am making two games, based on two books by the famous author Brian Jacques- Castaways of the Flying Dutchman and the Angel's Command. Both game will probably mostly revolve around the second book, with the first half of the game being the first part of the book, aboard the ship "La Petite Marie" and the second part about "The Razan". I am using sprites from Monkey Island 1 and 2 (except modifying them a little bit), and am using some backgrounds from the games also. Could anyone help for some of the naval battle scenes, by drawing animations for different ships moving around and firing at each other? And also I need someone to do a few backgrounds (well I might if there's none that I can rip from a game). I have some original music, so that's no biggie. And I have a few rooms on the game done, so if anyone wants proof, I can give it to them.

Oops. The filename is INDY.ZIP just so you know.

Hey, i want to upload a demo of my Indiana jones game. How do I get a page for it (like a description of the game and stuff)? If you can put up the little page for me, the title should be "Indiana Jones and the Cloak of Elijah: Rough Draft Demo" the description should be "In 1937 he found the lost ark. In 1938, the Holy Grail. In 1939, Atlantis. Now, one year later, in 1940, he's at it again. Kingdom/OldSchool Film/Gameco proudly presents: INDIANA JONES AND THE CLOAK OF ELIJAH!!!! Four new characters, talkie (coming soon) and much, more. PS: The hand-made backgrounds in this game are going to be re-made."

BASS2 is already in developement, or was atleast. Maybe BS4 put it on hold.

then what's the website for it?
#1019
Hey just a casual comment: someone should make a BASS II game with AGS. I couldn't though because the backgrounds would be too hard.  :P

Generally, it's good to have a game to add voices TO, as opposed to a game built around voices.

Just a FYI.Ã,  ;D
Yeah, i have quite a bit of the game done; my internet's so slow, though that it'll take a while to upload the game. I plan to upload what I have so far though, kind of like a 'rough demo'.
