This is good news, but it's old news as R4L said. I never really liked Sierra's adventure game era. The games were bland compared to LucasArts, and the titles were even worse- I mean: Police Quest, King's Quest, Space Quest- Really generic. But if they had combined all three series' titles into one...

Canadians think they're so much smarter than Americans, and they mock Americans for their lack of.. erm- judgment- but this goes to show that Canadians are just as half-witted, if not moreso. I think those guys were trying to make a Canadian version of the Virginian massacre- except with cows. And why would they need to determine the identity of the butcher?? So they could put him on trial as a scapegoat or something? It baffles me how stupid people can be sometimes.

I think this Game Of Life would make a much better adventure...

:P

That's exactly what I thought of when I read the thread title. :P

Did you fly up his amazon, queen?
Did you have an adventure in his underworld?
Could he see your 'shivah' when his eyes were closed?

This is really lame but....

Were you looking for his balls?

This game looks cool, the storyline is very interesting. I'd help with characters, but music is more of my forte. :D

It took 5 hours to draw those trees? I could draw that kind of tree in less than 20 minutes. If you're going to leave the trees the way they are (though I think you shouldn't, as they are very crude looking), outline and shade them.

Well personally, I don't usually like to play demos (unless the game is really anticipated, like Legend Of The Lost Lagoon, or Forgotten Element). I downloaded your demo and found it glitchy and hardly polished. However, I'd still play the full game, because I've seen your work before and it's great, plus I love Asterix, and an adventure game of it seems cool to do.

I agree Dan, Yahtzee probably hasn't even seen this thread, so how is going to make him come back? Who cares if he comes back? He's still making games.

I think that Dave Gilbert has become the next Yahtzee (so to speak). Hopefully it won't get to your head, Dave.

Wasn't Krysis working on all new sprites for RoN?

Not just that; he was working on a whole new RoN game. But you know him... he never finishes games he starts. A shame, since his art style is awesome.
#257
Hey, it looks nice, but I think the original fits your background style better. The front view's hands look like lumps. Add some fingers.
#258
I think a new series of games like RoN would be awesome. Actually, that might work, because there is a guy making a pack of (beautiful) sprites and animations... This could lead to something good.

Dave Gilbert is a great game maker because all of his games are unique (most of Yahtzee's games were all from the same series- all that I can recall except for Odysseus Kent ). Who else has made a game where you play as a Rabbi? Dave, you rock!
