I do that with my music. I organize every genre of music in a separate folder, then every artist in a separate folder, then I make folders for all of their albums. Isn't this game in the games database?

Isn't it just one game in a bunch of parts?

These are some characters and backgrounds from a game I've been working on (title not yet known). I started a thread about this a long time ago, but I lost the game files in a hard drive crash. Fortunately, I recently found some sprites from the game, and I'm reworking the storyline, backgrounds, and giving the game a facelift.

Backgrounds:

This foreground object is inspired by a drawing Krysis did a while ago.

Characters (I posted a few of these in the last Release Something as well. The game has totally changed since then):

A dirt biker and an old secretary.

The dirt biker, sans helmet.

A short biker.

A short wizard.

An evil photographer.

A German gang member, and a Jamaican surfer.

Two more gang members.

A tough, old guard.

A plane passenger who is extremely paranoid.

Another short biker, and the captain of a ship.

A short lady.

A hot short lady.

A sprite sheet of various characters.

The main character.

Front view of the main character.

Another main character. You can switch player characters in this game. All these sprites, except the last two were made by lo_res_man, almost a year ago.

I'll modify/double post in the game's original thread as well, so stay tuned...

General Discussion / Re: CD Burning Troubles

Okay, this is really weird (sorry for double posting, by the way); a few days ago, the drive suddenly recognizes CDs (but only CDs with stuff on them already). I bought some new CD-Rs, but they don't work. I think something is probably wrong with the drive.

That 'Save Sam & Max' thing is bogus. They're making another Sam and Max game already. ::)
#286
How easy is it? How long is it?

:D His head is way off-center. I like the face better though.

Or try http://www.upload2.net. I hate the load times to download from it, but it's very reliable and I've never experienced problems with it. Plus, you don't have to register, or give them any sort of personal crap.  ::)

Another thing I noticed, I usually use the Quick Reply function. When I reply with a quote, a green 'Replying With Quote...' appears at the top of the screen.  Very strange...

I vote no to the extra shading! I like the simpler style, closer to DOTT better :)

So do I. DOTT's style was just fine, without a bunch of complex shading.
#291
Prog, the shading style of yours actually looked a lot like Simon The Sorcerer's style (only way cartoonier).
#292
I suggest you change the background colour, because the colours (especially for the white muscular guy) are still hard on the eyes. The new guy looks good, but his pants need an outline.
#293
Also, animating would be harder with the shading. I think the original is more suited to a DoTT style game.
#294
Well, it was a nice example of someone who can't compose music. ;)
#295
Nice track lgm, didn't exactly fit the scene, though. ;)

Happy dirthbay, biO. Still making Ninja School videos?
#297
Love your style, but the sprites are hard on my eyes because of the colour scheme. Tone it down a bit, like what Steve said. If the backgrounds are as saturated as this, I don't think my eyes will be able to survive the game.

Second time you've done this. Darth is gonna be so mad.

Bah humbug, enough of these dumb flamewars. We're all part of the AGS family.
I couldn't agree more.
Why don't we just forget about whatever off-topic rambling was going on, and:
"Stay on target!"

PS3: I doubt AGS would be good on PS3. As mentioned before, Point N Click translates horribly to consoles. I'd also add that most console gamers think that 'pixel art' sucks, and that "if it's not 3d, then the graphics are crap." Games like Grim Fandango might be good on something like PS3, but I think the lack of in-depth control limits the ability to play most adventure games. The Wii could possibly be good for adventures, but it would still be a bit clunky. Does anyone remember that SNES Mouse? That could've work to play adventure games. If only they'd do something like that on next-gen...  :P

:D I know. I posted so many to annoy the mods. ;)

Congrats, you've officially annoyed the mods. There's a special list for people like you, and it takes a darn lot of good behaviour to be removed from that list.

Yay, I'm on a list! 8) Do I get any special tax benefits?

Just because you don't think it's funny doesn't mean that it's not funny, Tiki.
