No seriously, you've got a point. She was a decent actress in George Lucas' other 'masterpiece'. Better to use her than Hayden Christensen (more so, if he's playing Indy's son).

As far as I can remember, although Duty and Beyond is a major game, it never had a GiP thread. 

I searched the forums and nothing came up.

As far as I'm concerned, LucasArts has abandoned their adventure game titles. Sure, they might be selling some of them, but they treat them as if they don't exist.

I'd like to point out (whoever hasn't noticed) that KC and FruitStripeApe are the same person.

Christopher Tolkien has always been a fairly good writer/editor of his father's books. Anything Tolkien wrote outside of Lord of The Rings/The Hobbit his son helped in some way.

Artist Alan Lee has provided 25 pencil sketches and eight paintings for the book.

What's wrong with Alan Lee? He's one of the best Tolkien artists around..

A new book which J.R.R. Tolkien had been writing since 1918, before his death is going to be published next month. The book was picked up by his son Christopher, and was 30 years in the making.

I agree. The whole resorting to heros children says to me their plot devices are weak and thats the only way they think they can be salvaged.

Also, 26 years, sure, but uh, I thought the whole point of Indy was for it's early 1940's style. Are they putting Indiana in the 70's now or something? Eek :/ Like the son debate that too sounds like cashing in on crap. But I doubt they will.

Well... Indy did Marion in Raiders (the scene in the ship), that was in 1939, if his son is 20 something in this movie, then it would be late 50s, early 60s. The "Indy's son" thing isn't even a near possibility.

Don't spoil it. 

The only reason I wouldn't want Portman to be in it is because she's way too young for Indy. Of course, she could be his daughter, but I think adding anyone else into the Jones family would ruin it. In my opinion, they should just leave the Indy series as it is without making any more films. Lucas is getting stale. He used to be good, before the 90s, but when the prequel trilogy of Star Wars came out he almost ruined the series (okay, Episode 3 was good, but that's about it) and he's probably going to ruin this series too by releasing separate box sets for each film with 10 seconds of extra footage added to the movie, and a rehash of the documentaries that were on the first Indy box set. What's more, the Indy films had a really nostalgic quality to them- this time around, Lucas is probably going to insist on using digital film for Indy 4 (like he did with Star Wars episodes 2 and 3). Or, if he doesn't do that, he'll force them to shoot the entire movie in his surreal blue screen world. Even if he uses regular cameras to shoot it, I doubt that Spielberg, Lucas, or anyone will ever be able to top the original films. 

And regarding Natalie Portman... Oh yeah, she got the body the looks and the attitude imo.

Looks like the graphics are ripped or painted over from Day Of the Tentacle, Family Guy, and X Files too.

I haven't seen it, but I'm glad they made it animated rather than live action. Those live action movies were horrible.

Another problem- I've tried going back and viewing old pages of threads and there is some sort of 'database error'. :/

Wierd, even though I'm still logged in i keep getting pages with "guest" still there, but then I click on a board or a post and it says i'm logged in again.
I've also noticed it seems a bit slower than before.

That's happened to me in the past. Try logging in and out a few times. It should be fixed for good once you do that.

It seems to be incompatible with FireFox.
I switched to IE rendering with IETab and it looks fine.

Well, my Internet Explorer can't login to the forums, for some reason. It keeps giving me an error whenever I try. Firefox works fine for me, and the black box is gone.

They might fix it in a while.

I think he did it so that he'd have a better chance at winning MAGS. I noticed it was the same guy after just reading the post. I say disqualify him from the competition. Not like he had a chance of winning, anyways.

Lots of repetitive Star Wars related jokes with tons of spelling errors that are sometimes funny, but for the most part, crap.
