Delete buttons for Items, Characters, Views and Cursor Modes. I know there's no harm in leaving them blank when unused, but it just doesn't look tidy. :P

Yeah, that ticks me off too. I think it also makes the game take up extra space, doesn't it?

I saw a high speed thingy on yahoo for $14 US. You have the same problem as me, I want to get high speed but my parents say we don't need it  ;D I've been trying to get my dad to buy the cheap one.

Are the sidequests non linear or do you have to do all of them?

It would look better if it didn't have a black outline around, rather a darker version of the inside color. Also, it should have some shading. The colors are very WW2 ish. Is this going to be for a game?

My idea for an improved Help Us page would be to have anyone that wants help fill in a form like this:
###
Project Name: [=============]

Short description: [==========]

Need help with:
[ x ] Play-testing
[ x ] Voice acting
[ x ] Music
[ x ] Backgrounds
[ x ] Character art
[ x ] Animation
[ x ] Proof reading
[ x ] Scripting
[ x ] Story design
[ x ] Web design
[ x ] Translating

Long description:

People that wanted to help out would fill in another form selecting what topics they could help in and any other extra comments, and the project poster would get a mail notification about it. People could also post comments about said project + rating which would help any moderators decide whether a project should be deleted or not.

People could browse through all the projects need help like a forum, being able to filter by topics to help with or rating and such.
I might actually code this if anyone thinks this is a good idea.
Sounds good. I wonder if they'll ever put any of these ideas into action...

I'd like to see AGS run with hardware acceleration

If you'd like to explain how you'd create a decent multiplayer adventure game, please go right ahead. The fact is that the genre doesn't lend itself well to multiplayer ... there's quite a long thread kicking around somewhere where we discussed this, and as I recall nobody could think of a way that would work.

Ok, I will. You could have a nonlinear world where you could do whatever you want, but it had a LucasArts style GUI. You could do stuff (for example, if you had a DOTT online game you could explore all over the place and could defeat purple tentacle if you wanted to). This would be extremely difficult to script though.. probably impossible.

I would want better interactions, support for more than four background frames, and just an overall easier interface (although the interface is already easy). Online play would ROCK!
#732
Wow! Congrats on your game. Are you translating it from another language to english or the other way around? Hope to play this soon..

I've been pondering this for a while, and I think we should have more categories for AGS awards. For example: say there is a game with excellent backgrounds, but average sprites. Then there's another game with awesome sprites and mediocre backgrounds. One of them could possibly win the "best Art" award. But we should have two separate art awards: best sprites, and best backgrounds. We should also have an award for best voice acting. I mean, people hire actors and do all that hard voice work etc. but they don't have a chance of getting anything for it. Last, I'm not sure if we are doing this already, but we should have a best animation award. *Don't murder me if we already do, I haven't followed the award things in the past, so I don't know what all the awards are.*
#734
Actually, gameboy only made one background for this game. The rest are by me.

HUGE UPDATE:

We are officially going to change the look of the main character (David Smith) and Tyson (his sidekick).

Some body should have started a new competition weeks ago...

Here are some backgrounds and characters from my new in production game, David Smith: Private Investigator..

Here's my entry:

TOG MARLEY

This is Bob Marley's mega early ancestor and the first caveman to wear 'dreads'.Ã,

Yeah, that's a good idea. Most of the people working on my game right now are all people I PMed and asked. I guess no one ever browses the ACR thread much....
#740
Then it will be every two weeks.
