I may have found a bug:
Spoiler
The top line of items went missing (along with the inventory scroll arrows) after the cut-scene with the red guy.
The game must be thinking that, since I have the amount if items to fill 2 lines, I don't need the arrows.
But it didn't reset the inventory to the starting Y position!

It was a very nice first episode. Well done! Looking forward for the next one!

1x, with black frame

3x

PS. I felt an urge to participate, but if I win (which I doubt will happen, but anyway...) I won't be able to host the next Colouring Ball. So think of my entry as a "filler".

Decided to randomly visit the forums and saw this topic by chance. Heh.
Dunno if these are stored somewhere, though.

SpriteJam - The Underworld 2008 (oct.10th to oct.24th)

Haha! Delightfully Jerryjackon-esque, with an anime aftertaste. Well done!

I also bought the game and absolute adored it. Thank you very, very much for developing it.

In addition to what Rob said about the multiple endings...
Spoiler
...does kissing the (un)dead receptionist make any difference? Because when I chose the "surrender" option in the end, Ivy she seemed unwilling to help, resenting the event.

I'll probably explore all the other options too! Pity I didn't save regularly and will have to play the whole game again.

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Cold Meat

I've just finished it and I must say I agree with kaputtnik. It is a fine game indeed! :)
Cool puzzles, intriguing characters and just hard enough to keep you motivated.
My favorite characters are Hanz, the traditions-freak bully; Limfor, the headless; and Godnur, the alienated chieftain.

Thank you so much for making it Helme.
I sure plan on playing your other games.

Thank you, kaputtnik!
Yes, in that screen, we're supposed to be looking for...
Spoiler
...his stash of herbs. Clicking on the trees will make Limfor say: "My secluded stash must be somewhere around here"

All I can do is:
Spoiler
http://img202.imageshack.us/i/coldmeatss2.jpg/
Make the bird move from tree to tree, 1 to 5.
Get the squirrel to climb the branches of the 6th tree, following the A-E sequence.

It also won't let me leave this screen, so all I need is there.
All I have to do now is overcome my puzzle-solving incompetence. :D

Thanks again. I'll wait for Helme.

Hum... maybe we're not talking about the same part of the game?

By the way:
Spoiler
I've already given him the stinky bag ( ;D ) filled with fish and pickles, so I think this puzzle will help me find ou what his burial object was and not what his job was, as I stated before (Sorry!)

Wow! This topic has really grown since my last visit. :D
Anyway, I'm stuck again:
Spoiler
I've found all tombstones and also know what the original burial objects for Rutnor and Rektom were.
I'm currently helping Limfor remember who he was (lovely idea, by the way!! I must say I'm really enjoying the game.), but I can't figure out what to do with the bird, squirrel and trees puzzle. Are their movement supposed to be drawing an image/map? Or should I just pay attention to their positions?
[close]

EDIT: Just a small glitch (I think): when you hold the left mouse button over the squirrel, the main character's actions menu pops up.

Excellent! Thanks. It worked now.
I had...

...left the room / burned the burger before my first message, but never occurred to me that it would also achieve an even higher oven temperature.

Hints & Tips / Cold Meat

I'm supposed to...
Spoiler
...use heat expansion/cold contraction in order to get the "stone oven" (tombstone) out.
[close]
But how? I've tried all possible combinations involving:
Spoiler
1. turning hotplate on, by placing a frozen burger on it
2. turning the oven on, by placing the freezer pack inside it (it'll just get warmer)
3. turning both of these things off.

No luck. What am I doing wrong?

I don't know if this is old news to you guys (in which case you should just ignore this), but I was quite surprised when I read this at gamasutra today:
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=23858

The company developing the sequel (called Tales Of Monkey Island) is Telltale:
http://www.telltalegames.com/monkeyisland

***

In parallel, Lucas arts is also working on a Monkey Island: Special Edition, a makeover of the original that will allegedly "bring the game into the modern era",according to Gamasutra's review.
Check out the hot site: http://www.lucasarts.com/games/monkeyisland/

In my oppinion, Mr. Treepwood is looking a tad too much like a surfer "dude". Oh, well.

What happened Marion? Did you unleash George Lucas' wrath?

I have fixed a bug when you increase your Defense.
That's exactly what I was going to report. Did you upload a new file?
Excellent job, by the way! Thank you very much.  ;)

As mdyoung40 said...

you're not supposed to cool down the stone. Just to use it as a roasting pan. :D

Thank you for the help, [ Arjon ] and hystericbliss0!
What was getting in my way was...
Spoiler
...giving the librarian the newspaper (must have missed the clue to that, since it made no sense to me)
[close]
After that, I managed to catch up with you guys, plus answer one of the questions listed above:
Spoiler
Cigar is now inside the mouse hole, right? "Look" at it and you'll get information about it's size. *hint* *hint*
[close]
If you still didn't get it:
Spoiler
50cm is quite tall for a mouse hole. Not tall enough for you to fit inside, though.
[close]

EDIT:
More progress to solve the other 2 questions:
Spoiler
It's a matter of timing...

EDIT2:
Finally finished it! Yay.

I'm stuck exactly where you are hystericbliss0.
Spoiler
After the card gets eaten, you also get quite a share of your boss' cash, so I guess it was supposed to happen.

A thought:
Spoiler
If I owned a wallet and it was already in my inventory (pocket), why it only appeared after I collected the cash? I think a pile of bills and dimes would've been more accurate.

Please help me move forward, [ Arj0n ] (or anyone else)!

Ewen,

Spoiler
Try finding dates that is important to "The Head". Discover what subjects interest him.
After you're in the right track, it may help to chat with him again. ::)

I'm pretty much stuck now.
