Last call for votes!

Also. At the risk of sounding like a broken record: Rate and comment. Rate and comment.

If you've ever watched The Jetsons, you'll know what I'm thinking.

Incredi-ball.

Thanks Anas and well done to the winners.

I vote to lynch Josiah1221.
No real member of the Royal guard would ever pretend to forget the gender of our monarch.
#1806
I also think Josiah should get lynched.

@Cassie. They're on seperate pages because the deadlines are different. So some people might still want to submit their final prediction after I've disabled the link to the 3rd place page.

Sinitrena wins the semi-finals with 8 points. Well done to you.

The prediction windows for the 3rd place play off and for the final game are now open.

Remember points for the World Cup Final are tripled so there are still 15 points total to play for.
It's up to you if you want to share your guesses here, but I will be leaving the spreadsheet blank until all predictions are in.

Thanks, Snarky. I voted for number 4. I really liked Gurok's idea that the player might be able to choose what memories to take forward. A little bit like Resonance in a way.

My idea was a new one. I wanted to put twist on a familiar idea (rather than the story itself having a plot twist) so I took the age old ‘is there a God?' and changed it to ‘am I God?' I thought it hadn't been done before but I've since remembered Bruce Almighty kind of has that going on.

Admittedly my pitch was light on gameplay mechanics. This could have easily been a TV or movie pitch (and I'm tempted to write a spec pilot script around it)

By the way, thanks for that link about Christina the Astonishing, Snarky. Was an interesting read.

I can confirm Mine was number 5. Thanks for the votes.

I want to start the convo but I'm finding it hard to think of how to phrase things without potentially giving away my role. Do we all have to talk as though we are guards even if we're not? I guess the assassin (whoever that may be 8-)) wants everyone to think he's one of the guards, the king (whoever that may be 8-)) wants the assassin to think he's one of the guards and the guards (whoever they may be 8-)) want the assassin to think that the king is one of them? Is that basically right?

Cat and Cassie also said they had been trying to think of something. Whether they entered or not, I din't know.

I agree possibly #1 is Andail and #3 is CaptainD
I'm putting my money on Snarky for #4

The Oliver Twins aren't twins???? Nooooooooooo!!! They lied 🤥

The only game dev brothers I can think of from that era are the Oliver Twins. But your riddle doesn't sound like it describes a Dizzy game.

You said if we lynch the king then everyone is a moron but it it's completely random then how can that be avoided?

The Guards all know who the King is and it's a majority vote for lynching.
ah, right you are. It seems I'm the moron already.

I'm in!

But i'm Also a little hazy about how we judge to to lynch. You said if we lynch the king then everyone is a moron but it it's completely random then how can that be avoided?

Ahh sorry man. I was still waiting for that last 1% and didn't realise the case was closed already.

I like that it was based on a real case. It's a good story, albeit tragic. I must admit though, I prefer these when they are a murder rather than an accident. It's fun working out whodunnit and why. But here we pretty much established that was an accident involving a pet pretty early on and the rest was just garnering the details.

The forum clock is behind again. There's about a three-minute difference.

Okay. The site is working again now. If you have already tried to enter your semi-final predictions you will need to try again because I won't have got the emails. Either that or just post them here.

Yes but the site says TBC vs TBC, let me know when that's known!
give me time. I'm in a different time zone and work on Sunday's.

Also, there seems to be a problem with the PHP script for that page. I'm gonna didabkevthe link until I can sort it out when I get home.
