One of my favourite martial arts films is Iron Monkey.
It's kind of in a similar vein as Crouhing Tiger, but I think it was earlier.  Just an all round good yarn.

Also, how about Ip Man and Ip Man 2?  (not kung-fu per se, but both great films)

Do you have cookies enabled? (how appropriate for a bake sale!)
Wheeeey!  :D

Thanks for the clues, folks.  I'll finish it tonight :-)

I think I need a little prodding in the right direction.  I'm just walking around in circles.

Spoiler
So, I think I'm kind of near the end.  I've found Busbot and Melanie in the coat cupboard, sussed out that he is innocent, and I have been able to open the storage room door and found the two [fake?] robots.  I have the cutlery and the green rubber gloves.  I'm guessing I need to get my gun back somehow (to get into the kitchen, I presume).  I'm also guessing I have to find some food for Melanie, as she hinted at being hungry.

I'm pretty sure I've exhausted every conversation with everyone too, so now I'm ready for a hint :)

Thanks.

That's because they're English ;D

This looks fun!

How about adding in a customisable coin/ring collecting system?

Also, when you've got some of the obvious stuff nailed, why not consider adding in the capability for making 2P co-op games?

The topic of making 2-player adventures in AGS has come up from time to time, but I think the general concensus has been that adventures would make shit two-player games. But this platformer/arcadey approach could be a chance to really open AGS up to the two-player market.

Just a thought...  :)

Sounds great.  I won't be making any games until summer, and even then it'll probably be shite.  But some of us are gonna have to try and keep the freeware side of things propped up while eveybody else is selling out ;)

Shall we test my theory... I'm going to do a forum search.  If the forum breaks, it's my fault.

[update]
Ha, my search for 'Maniac Mansion' brought up the white screen first time and then told me there were no results the second time. Forum still alive though :-D

Downtime will occur tomorrow (Monday) morning (GMT).
I bet the copyright to all of my completed games.

<Spam>  For Sherlockians in the UK: You can get a free DVD copy of BBC's Sherlock series 1 in today's issue of the Daily Mail!  </Spam>

wtf?!?

Planning to move to the UK...

To the shop! ----> Anyone want an unread newspaper?

[Edit]  Hmm, maybe not.  You need six differently dated tokens I can live with buying one Daily Mail, but if I bought six I'd have to shoot myself out of principle.

That sounds similar to a phenomenon that happens to me sometimes.
Everyone gets those 'jolt awake' moments once in a while, but sometimes for me it's accompanied by what feels/seems like a kind of electric shock in my ears/brain.  Not in a painful way, but it's like a weird buzzing that kind of zaps me awake.  And I don't feel it in my toes or anywhere apart from in my head.
Not really ghostly, but wierd, hehe.

Looks good!  The trailer shows a lot of the little touches that have gone into the game, that the screenshots don't do justice.  Tad out of my price range for the immediate future, but we'll see :)

[Edit] That's not to say the screenshots aren't gorgeous.  But the trailer shows off a lot more of the juicy game elements:)

Nice one!  :D
Can't wait to see the final tally.

[edit]
:-\ Not meaning to be a spoil sport here but... is this total including or excluding all the $1.50 transaction fees, 'cause that would take quite a chunk off.

Sorry to bump this, but I've decided I'm almost certainly going to go.  If I can find some reasonably priced accomodation... Or if Ince and Cecil are on the same day, I might just go for one day, but there's still no indication on the site as to which events are taking place on which of the days.

I do see the point, and I would happily have given a proportion of my payment to the devs if that were an option.  But there is a difference in that the games on Humble Bundle are all commercial titles, whereas the vast majority of AGS games are free anyway, so the fact that the bakers didn't ask for any money for themselves kind of follows on from the typically freeware nature of this community.  That said, I can see some of the games in the bake sale becoming commercial deluxe ventures in future :)

This kind of thing has been going on for ages.  I've been using a fake AGS profile for eight years now and nobody has caught m-

c.leksutin?  Is that you?

You would never catch me doing any kissing-up.

Anyway, I happen to really like your lossy blue and red banner Mr CaptainD, sir.  Particularly when I scroll down.  ;D

I want that controller.

As for the game. It looks great. This is the one I'm most looking forward to from the bundle, but not until after my exams.*

I've been teaching myself Hangul and can pretty much read most of it now (though I have no Korean vocab whatsoever) :D

(*exam season = less game playing due to good intentions X increased forum activity due to failure of good intentions)

Are there any plans for Bake Sales in the next years?  :=

Hope so, I'll have finished uni by this summer and my mission is to finish a game by next Xmas.  It probably won't be any good but if it is I'd happily include it.
