General Discussion / Re: The old song-game!

Why hasn't this taken off?  That Vocaroo is the best toy I've had in years!  Me and my mate spent most of last night playing this game and suggesting songs for each other.  Hilarity ensued.  ;D

Is it because my suggestion for the next song, crap?  How about something more mainstream, such as Bryan Adams, Everything I Do I Do It for You?

Shit me! There's some real quality in this thread.  Steve, that module is incredible.  As usual all I've got is ideas in my head which isn't really "something" I can release, but I'll see what I can do in the next couple of weeks.

We need a 'like' button, haha.

Or just ignore the suggestions like I do.

The game has taken so long that they'd probably have been better off 'cancelling' it and releasing it under a new name.  Theres no way it will be able to live up to 15 years of hype (Take note team FoY!)

Ain't this cool news?
SkyGoblin is such a better name anyway.

This was a fair use of that song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZxIAN6don4

Haha, this is classic.  The thing that made me lol most was

...a million dollars.  Being 1984 that's a lot of money back now.

Dammit, I might have just used 'lol' and meant it for the first time in my life  :-\

Most -ism's aren't much fun.

-asms, on the other hand, are awesome!

It's just a bit of banter.   Women moan and joke about men all the time, and it doesn't offend us the males among us (does it?  I hope not...).  And besides, most of my female friends would probably laugh at some of the comments in this thread because they have a healthy sense of banter.  They certainly wouldn't be offended and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't expect any males to be offended on their behalf.

A pint of beer doesn't follow you around for weeks after you drink it.

Has she even given you an explanation as to why she's angry with you?
Sounds like a severe case of PMT to me.  Reminds me of one of them period dramas  :-\

How well do you know her family?  Maybe they can shed some light onto this mysterious Zack character.  As far as I'm concerned he's welcome to her and you're better off without that kind of behaviour.  But some answers would be nice, I'm sure.

You could have a ballistic branch, with gunslingers and cannnoneers  :D

General Discussion / Re: Problems with Steam

Yikes!  This is bad.  I'm glad you've got to the bottom of this.  As a new user of Steam I was beginning to get worried about what I had let myself in for.

So does this mean that you were not actually banned from the forums by Steam because of your comments about piracy? You should most definitely tell them about this.  It could be that they're already aware of it, but they can warn others.  Also there must be a bunch of other unofficial Steam Forums out there where you can spread the word abou this.

I wonder if you might make more money from it by taking out the processor, video card and everything, and seeing how much you could get for them separately (especially if you use ebay, and added a cheeky quid or two onto the p&p ;))

Are they allowed to just totally shut down youre account with all 30-odd games in it just because they 'suspect' you of pirating one of them?  They must realise how unfair that is.  If you genuinely didn't pirate any of those games then they've basically judged you guilty before giving you a chance to prove your innocence.  And then they tell you to sort it out with LucasArts?

Thats like having someone from HMV coming round your house and burning your entire DVD collection because they suspect you might have pirated The Dark Knight, and then telling you to sort it out with Warner Bros.

When a zero-tolerance sance would be fair, Steam seem to be taking a minus-30-tolerance stance on Piracy.

I hope you sort it out Erenoth

Here are my top five thrifty tips, which I abide by religiously in my daily life:

1) Don't throw away your used t-bags!  Sewn together they make great insulation.
2) You see that Bible gathering dust on the shelf there?   Never buy Rizlas again!
3) Parsley is cheaper than cannabis.
4) Teach evening classes in Pig Latin and Ubbi Dubbi.
5) A hooker with AIDS is usually cheaper than a hooker without.
