General Discussion / Re: Fast Food Rants?
Tue 10/08/2010 13:47:26
It depends who you get.
Most fast food workers are temporary, and really don't care about their job.  I've never worked for a fast food company as such, but I've worked for Odeon... and you wouldnt beleive the amount of popcorn, drinks and hot-dogs that get given away willy nilly.  As a customer it's always worth asking... but you should never expect.  If it's not on the menu then you can't really argue if they don't let you have it... the guy on the radio is just a sulky spoiled little girl.

ditto.  This game looks superb

I'd offer to beta-test too, but actually I don't want to be spoiled for when I play the final version.

You say this is Chapter 1, and that it has taken 4 years to make... does that mean we're gonna have to wait another 4 years for Chapter 2?

This looks nice.
I play a lot of flash games with a similar vibe to this.
The art style is cool, with all the lines and stuff.

Keep it up GSox ;)

Completed Game Announcements / Re: ∞ bit

I played an earlier demo of this... it's madness.
I suppose I should download the full version now, but I think I need to psyche myself up first. :P

I really liked this.  Great efforst for a OROW entry.
I would have liked to know more about the storyline.  I reckon you should make this the first in a trilogy, and in subsequent parts, go into more depth about the storyline, and have some proper puzzles ;)

Did anyone happen to catch 'Grandma's House' on BBC2 last night?
Absolutely rubbish... quite possibly the worst sitcom I've ever sat through...
In fact, that's exactly what it is... a 'sit'... there was literally no 'com' whatsoever...

Appalling!!!

Agreed.  I'm not exactly what you might call a proponent of BBC television series... they're usually cheap and tacky compared to my Americanised expectation... but recently they've pulled tehir fingers out.. With 'Being Human' last year, and now Sherlock, which is just good solid television, I think Auntie has my respect again.

I also couldn't reload a game because it crashed when i clicked on 'load'
So I started again with the intention of playing right through without saving...
but then it crashed quite a way into the game:
Spoiler
I had retrieved the folder, cracked the lock, and taken the disc.. then I was a bit stuck so I was looking at the folder again for clues and it crashed.

Is there much more to go, because I was really enjoying it up until that point.  I might wait a while for a more stable version.

Enjoyable game so far though.  Cheers JB.

I just watched it.  And I'm bloody glad I did.  Great piece of TV.

How about something Latin like 'Anno Domini' or 'Magister Militum'...
#5993
Put the word 'Project' infront of any of the aforementioned words...

Personally I like 'Project Blitzkreig'

I can get the guy to triple when I put in the IP that Hamachi has given me...
But If I try to enter your I get "10060 can not connect to [your IP]"

And I still get "The network appears to be full" no matter how many times I try to join your existing network.

And I can't get the drawing board to work either :(

Other ideas for categories:
*Cityscapes
*Fantasy
*Water
*Night-time

You could also have categories of art style:
*Hand-drawn
*Pixel Art
*Watercolour
*Black and white
*Photographic/montage
*Cartoon
*Realistic

Obviously, backgrounds could belong to any number of different categories... I'm not sure how you're doing it, but you could give each background different 'tags', like the kinds you find on blogs

Another idea is that the user be able to make his or her own gallery, by browsing through the backgrounds and adding their favourites to a 'playlist', if you will.
