I always thought BS would make a good film... And indeed The Davinci Code didn't disappoint.

Different note - I always thought it was a "gamepad" and "joystick", never heard of a "joypad" before, is that because it has a mini joysticks on it?

Nah, when I was a kid, way back in the days of NES and Master System with their sharp rectangular controllers, it was always 'joypad'... Around N64/Dreamcast era I probably tended to say 'controller' or 'control pad' more often, perhaps because the became less of a pad and more of a gadget...

But yeh, this is irrelevant... Just found it interesting that so many people used 'gamepad' and I'm pretty sure I've never said that word in my entire life.

[Edit]
Ahh Interesting... After a bit of linguistic research with the AGS forum corpus I found that the majority of people use 'gamepad'... however, there does seem to be a rather specific group of British (or Irish) males, over 25 years of age, who still say 'joypad'...

Ahh, you reminded me... I started playing this game a couple of weeks ago, and totally forgot to carry on.
Very interesting concept, and a pretty game too.  I'll finish it soon.

Woah. Way to celebrate getting your license back Marco :-)
Stick two fingers up to the recession!

What is all this 'gamepad' nonsense...
since when did we stop saying 'joypad'?
Mind you I barely play normal videogames anymore, so I'm out of touch :-(

Facebook is NOT private... it's the nastiest, nosiest website on the intertubes.
Myspace is more open (without networks and stuff) but somehow less nosy... Facebook tells you Everything that All your friends are doing and it tells them Everything you are doing.  It's horrible.  I'm too scared to click on a hot chick's profile incase it tells everybody, and it looks like I'm stalking her.

I've got a big feeling it might have been 'another.com'.

These days they are a regular domain-buying site that offers hosting etc like easily and godaddy.
But I'm certain that they (or whoever I'm thinking of) used to hoard the domain names for themselves but just dish out email addresses using the domain names they owned.

Cool.

Well Stupot, officially I would, but since nobody ever saw it I think I would allow it. But you have to put some more work in it though, would be fair to the other participants. :)

Yeh, It would need more work anyway.  It was nowhere near finished in it's old format. Infact I'll probably end up rewriting like 70% of that, on top of adding the new stuff.

General Discussion / Re: Worst drivers.....

The guy who drives the bus to Nun's Valley in Madeira is a nutcase!!!
But to be fair we all survived, so perhaps that makes him an incredibly good driver... but still, yeh, that was scary.
Put it this way.  On the road from Funchal to Nun's Valley, there are narrow winding roads, with sheer vertical drops down the mountain.  If the bus loses control, we are all dead.  And this driver's treating it like Brands Hatch...

And their taxi drivers are also nutcases.

I've had plans of turning Bram Stoker's Dracula (the novel) into an AGS game... Or at least the first 4 chapters, when Jonathan Harker is in the Count's castle, which lend themselves nicely to the 'escape' format.

Actually, my uncompleted entry for the previous task was about some dreams that I have had.  It was to be called 'Lucid Dreams' and I wanted the whole choose-your-own thing to reflect the idea of lucid dreaming, where you have some degree of control over the events that take place.

Maybe I could enter that, or an edited, linear version of it, into this week's contest? Would that be cheating?

General Discussion / Re: 3d Realms

Here's my two cents:

Maybe Take-2 will do the right thing and get one of the Rockstar studios to develop a new Duke Nukem game. In fact, any studio would be able to develop Duke Forever and get it completed a lot quicker than 3d Realms. I mean WTF were they doing for 11 years? 3D realms must have been one hell of a BAD company to not be able to make that game.

But think about it. A Duke game by Rockstar? That so has the potential to blow peoples minds. FOREVER!!!

P.S
Can I have my midget now please Ryan?

Google should add a feature where you paste a picture into the seach box and then it finds matching or similar pictures in Google Images...

...then they should give me a fuck ton of money for the idea.

It's not a new idea though. In fact, I read somewhere that Google has already had plans of implementing such a feature in the future. I hope they do, too.

There's also a service called TinEye but it's not very useful due to its small index of images.

Oh well.. great minds think alike  :D

Yeh, I've only just noticed this too... surprised there was only one entry.. its a great theme.
