I agree with you that it’s silly to wear a mask when there’s literally no one else about. I wait until I’m near the station before putting mine on.

But regarding breathing through your nose around people. That’s not gonna solve anything. You can’t cough through your nose and your nose can’t block a sneeze. You r nose is literally there to let sneezes out. Those 5-8 families a day would ask you to wear a mask around people.

Yeah, these people are absolute morons. And there’s a lot of them.

Not to mention that even mask-wearers have to take their masks off from time-to time. And even with them on, no one ever claimed they were 100% fool-proof.

Well, how about that? It’s a photo finish.  The Spider’s Web and My Father’s Secret are Joint winners.

Slasher and JackPutter, Well done chaps. You’ll have a chance to put your heads together and come up with a topic for November.

Commizzos to Mandle and Olleh19. Keep on trying.

Different games have affected me in different ways at different points in my life.

Fantasy World Dizzy was the first game that I got absolutely hooked as a little boy. My whole family did. My mum remembers it as fondly as my sister and I do. It was also the first time I had a notion that these things were made by normal people. There it was on the title screen “the Oliver Twins”. I’m a twin!

I didn’t own a Sega or Nintendo during the first couple of Generations, but friends did. I vaguely remembered half playing something at a friend’s house with blue speech boxes and turn-based battles. It clearly didn’t change my life much. But when FFVII came out on PlayStation and I started her up, I had a flashback and realised This was like those games, only better. Final Fantasy 7 absolutely took over my like for the several months that I played it. The music, the story, the action sequences, the battle animations, the music again, the atmosphere, the freedom, the characters, the humour, the pathos. It was like nothing I’d played before.  I still remember that feeling and it fills me with joy. Ironically, I have never actually finished it. My last did got scratched and then when I bought the platinum version (first time I ever bought a game I already owned) that third disc wouldn’t work again. I’m planning to buy it in Switch when I’m less busy and give it another go (I won’t be buying a PS4 just for the remake).

My old man and I used to play a lot of games together, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill Etc and they all changed me in different ways too but none had the impact of FF7.

This post is long enough, but I also want to say: “Ocarina of Time. Thank you, Nintendo.”

I've learned that the game I was going to make would basically be a lesser version of Phasmophobia...
Nothing wrong with that.

New one. It’s easy if you know it.

Sounds great. I definitely won’t have time but I’ll be looking forward to seeing the games.

1) Sinitrena
2) Klatuu
3) Toeknee (The dragon is beautiful, but it's the egg that counts).

What happened to the Xage project? Wasn’t that trying to do just this?

Everyone who votes or plays these games should also take the time to vote on the games page for each game. I keep forgetting to do this, but we could make it a habit. Then at least the MAGS games will get the five ratings necessary to get a player rating.

I used to beat that drum, but it’s pointless. So few people rate and comment on the games pages that in the last year only 3 games (out of nearly 100) have had enough ratings to show their score.

I should get back in the habit of reminding people when I announce the start of voting, though.

It’s Sense8 I think. Great show.

[Edit] It’s definitely Sense8. I suspected it from the third picture (the intro is full of Pride imagery) and now that I’m not looking at the screen in the sunlight I can tell that the 4th image is definitely the Indian woman and her husband. No idea where the 1st picture comes from, though.

Sense8 is really worth your time if you haven’t watched it yet. It’s a rollercoaster that I feel like I have never really got off.

“Hello darkness my old friend”
Oddly this song has been looping in my head this morning. Or should I say just the first two lines. And then I saw this post.

You’re still in the contest, Olleh.

We knew you were having trouble uploading the game, so that’s not an issue. It’s good of you to admit that you did more tinkering than is perhaps fair. People may take that into account when voting. If you do end up with most votes, you can decide then whether or not to pass the torch.
