Yeah I can happily take a loss to Mad's awesome Imp and tie with ProgZmax's equally awesome entry - very nice! Thanks for all the love! Does that mean I get a hybrid trophy...?

EDIT: Like this perhaps...

Yay, my first AGS win!  :D So awesome, thanks Jim.

Thanks for the comments too, and well done to ProgZmax and tzach  :)

I didn't get far into it (yet!) but it's very impressive indeed (though we all saw that in the screens a long time ago  ;D). Can't wait to get back into it tonight... and congrats on the release after such a long period in development! I can only imagine the feeling.

I'd like to throw my vote ProgZmax's way as well

There you go, done! Bit rough around the edges but it's finished enough  :P

Yeah I'm sorry homerus, I think cianty's right  :( I think the second pic suits your style more. Like I said, I'm no expert  :P

I think that blue tint is doing heaps, looks much better. Everything seems much more set in the moonlight. Also it seems to me (though I'm no expert on the matter) that the lighting is a little inconsistent? It looks very bright on the top of the skull, but then there's not much shadow in relation to that light (on the ground for instance), so if it was me I might look to either creating more shadow or lessening the amount of light on the top? Again, I'm no expert...

C'mon people, more entries, you still have a week to go! =(

If it makes you feel any better I'm intending to do something on the weekend... though I suppose intending is always different from doing.

Yeah that demo reel is pretty impressive. I just tried my hand at that flour sack animation in an animation class today and didn't do half as well  :(. Looking forward to seeing the characters from the screens at the hands of this talent...

Saw this just recently got a review on AdventureGamers. Looks great, will have to give it a shot now...

HHGTG features in this month's RetroGamer magazine (UK). A brief capsule review and a picture. I'll try to get a scan up.
Bah, I read an 'adventure gaming' themed copy of that mag a while back and saw in the opening pages a response by one of the writers to the genre - something akin to "Never liked them, they are the equivelant to apes banging rocks together". Not to take away from a great achievement though, a great feat indeed! It's only that one moron that rubbed me the wrong way...

Actually come to think of it, the pic in black and white before you added colour looks pretty nice. Would love to see you doing noir - it's too bad you didn't have a go at the noir theme background comp  :P

Pretty interesting approach to colouring and lighting. Might experiment with this one day  ;D, though my judgement of light needs some work to get to your level.

Again, looking very nice. Can't wait to play...

I love your art style Sughly. I wish I could draw like that...

Thanks again Armageddon  ;D

Alrighty, my first sprite comp so hopefully I did everything right by the rules  :(. Left one is using non-pixelart rules with 5 colours, one on right is same but with shading (which I wasn't sure about with rules and whatnot...).

It'd be great to do this again, last one was pretty fun... but man that entry's too awesome. Love it  :D. Maybe I'll still gather up time and throw something together before the end date.
#236
Holy... that art is just all kinds of absolute awesome. Nice work! Keep it up (jealousness aside  ;D)

Ah catagories, I see. Well then, yeah what Jim said  :P. All 4 to Tier. Well done!
#238
So... voting now? Haven't done it before so not sure how it goes. But for what it's worth, I'll give my 2 cents. I like Jim's too, but Tier's is something else - awesome detail. So I'm 1 vote for Tier!  ;D

Wow Sughly, that looks great, it's like the monkey island 3 style. :D

Wish I was that good.
Thanks!  That's quite a compliment  ;D

I do regret the small bit of smoke against the left wall though. Looks like some weird alien... foetus... thing.

EDIT: by the way Tier, the detail in yours is amazing...

Wow... amazing! My interest is most definately piqued by the mentioning of cinematics  ;D. Those backgrounds are really something else. Look forward to hearing more!
