another option ofcourse would be for Chris to 'convert' AGS to using Flash or Silverlight.. or go Opensource like Scummvm, so the possibility of more ports of the engine are much greater.. But I understand Chris in not wanting to go opensource, I really don't care as long as the Windows version still keeps working as that's the one I'm playing, although wouldn't mind seeing a PS3 version of the engine hehe.. I do hope he stays away from .NET for the engine itself, as .NET is one piece of *&*(&..

Well, I decided (after starting and finishing 'What makes you tick') to continue Robotragedy (with the walkthrough very near).. The puzzles seem to get easier after you 'escaped' your room, but still some weird ones.. But I finished it (with more than average having to refer to the walkthrough)..

Without a walkthrough I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is as impatient as me (and there are more than enough of us) and doesn't like very illogical puzzles.. But I must say that it's sad if you don't play it, as it has absolutely beautifull graphix..

I must say that I'm very sad that this game is ruined by the unbelievable bad puzzles.. The graphix/sounds/music are really topnotch, but oh my god the puzzles, and I have to admit that I'm not even far into the game (looking at the walkthrough) but so far it has been a real nightmare and sadly to say a complete waste of my time.. I hope the second game is more logical, and I really would urge the creator to redesign the first one (make the flow of the puzzles a bit more logical, which should be possible with the stuff you already have).. I'm still contemplating if I'm gonna finish this one (and that's something I rarely say), but for now I'm gonna leave it..

Having just started and finished the game I must say it's again a fun game (although I found the first one having more variation as it had more rooms).. But I finished the game without having to resort to a walkthrough so the puzzles aren't that difficult as I'm not a great adventureplayer hehe..

I can't wait to see/play another one ;)  Keep up the great work..

Looks very VERY good..  only thing i don't like (but that's just my taste) is the showing of the picture when the character 'talks'. Why show the text the same as Monkey island (or any Lucasarts adventure, and many AGS adventures), in outlined text near the character, and have different colors for different characters or something, IMHO it distract much less as with the image.. but as I said it's just my taste..

Just keep up the great work.. ;)

don't worry, just make sure the game is really completed when you release it, and be smart, if anyone asks what the deadline is, just answer the following: "It's done when it's done." ;)
good luck

Well, when's the next one? ;)

Quote from: thebaddie on Sun 10/02/2008 09:43:39but a game localized in the player language is better than a game in another language... you can get all the shades of meaning and so on

so i played the first game and i'll play the new one in english, but if it will translate in italian i'll be able to appreciate it better

got it now?

No, I really don't get it now.. My main language also isn't english, but I've grown up with watching most stuff with subtitles, and from my experience the only way to apreciate a movie/game is watching/playing it in the original language as most of the tilmes a lot is screwed in translation, just because many times there is no real translation for certain things..  But then again we dutchies aren't used to everything being dubbed in our own language (except for kidshows, hmm, maybe that says something about the rest of the world, LOL)..

But there is nothing blocking you from creating your own translation and providing it to the creators of the Sydney games so other lazy italians (who don't understand english) can enjoy the game..

but i'm italian and is soooo boring to read every single english dialogue, so i can't totally appreciate your work... can i hope in a translation?

I hope you are joking... It's not boring... Just learn english, most adventures are in english.. Don't be stupid by being too lazy to learn another language..

Also just finished it, and must say it's a great game.. looking forward to any new game you're making..

Spoiler
One thing I think wasn't exactly right was the end with all the questions, it was too much guessing, especially since he says to get back later when you got more proof (or something like that) but you can't get any more proof without just 'guessing'
