I have finished up the coding and the backgrounds for the next area. It's been almost a year since I last worked on the game so I'm still getting back into my art style, but it is fun to be working on the game again.

Thanks to the quarantine, I'm back on production of the game and have just finished coding the next area.

I think I came up with a pretty cool idea where you play the canine companion of an adventurer, I'm hoping I can turn it into a fun an interesting game.

Sounds interesting, I'm in!

The first time I played through I gave the man the phone book before talking to the librarian, and it wouldn't let me talk to him anymore. This time I talked to the librarian first and then gave the man the phonebook and then it worked.

How on Earth do I get a library card, I've revisited every location I have access to and tried using all of my items on everything.

I downloaded and played last night. What a shame that you lost motivation! It really looks like a lot of work and thought went into what's in there and the art is amazing! Maybe if you team up with some of the talented people on the forum you can back to completing the project?

I'm glad that you enjoyed the work I put into this project. Like I said in the main post, I usually get little bursts of interest in AGS. I will no doubt become interested and motivated in the future to continue this game but for all I know that might not be for a while. I am also going off to college in September so I would not have much time to work on it then. That's the main reason why I wanted to share what was done with everyone. There is still a lot of hope for this game however, since I know I will continue it eventually, I just don't know when. Even in the middle of working on the stuff I finished, I lost interest and then immediately gained it back again, but for a different reason. So keep an eye out for when I do eventually decide to return to the project.

Hello everybody!
I have not been active on this site for several months. Unfortunately, I have lost motivation to complete the game I was working on, Slay the Dragon III. I was too ambitious in the size of the game based on the level of experience I have on AGS. I thought I would upload what I did have done so that people could enjoy the work that I did finish. I usually gain interest in AGS in short phases, so there's a good chance I might continue work on this game in the future. Thank you to all who have followed along on the production of this game. I am proud of what I have completed. Please enjoy!

Hobo: Thank you so much! I've really been putting more time into graphics to make this game look a lot better than the other two did. I've been chugging away steadily for the past several months but there is still a lot more to do, your kind words are a big motivator!

All of the backgrounds for the Frostlands are now complete! All that is left now is the art for the characters and objects.

I have been on vacation over the past few weeks and because of that production was slow on the second area of the game. But now that I am back I've kicked it back into full gear. I have some screenshots of backgrounds (Mostly in progress) for the second area, the Frostlands!

Prepare yourself for the final installment in the Slay the Dragon trilogy



This game takes place five years after Slay the Dragon 2, and the hero has become King of the realm. But now a new threat has arrived: Three dragons are wreaking havoc across the land. The hero must once again take up the sword and defeat them. With help from his brave general and the wise Grand Magi, the hero will travel to three different areas to hunt down the dragons.

The game is about one-quarter of the way complete. Here's a link to its page on Gamejolt. I'm going to try to post an update every week on the game's progress.

It's so great that this game is finally coming out! I remember seeing this game on the AGD game page with the words, “coming soon” and always checking back to see if any progress has been made. I can't wait to play this game!
