Oooh ... what a cool theme for us retro gamers ... sweet memories ... and such nice trophies.

I really hope to find the time for pushing some pixelated memories in that shape (nod)

It reminds me not just on the chain-saw movies but also an AGS-game I played.
Sooo ...

Is the imprisoned man a character in an computer game?
Is the imprisoned man a character in a movie?
Is the imprisoned man a character from literature?

Stable Pete  and the Joust

You found one (or more) of 'our' mugs, too? ... don't forget to add your findings to  The Big Blue Cup Gallery

What a great way to show the possibility of the engine - you got my vote (even racing isn't my cup of tea (wtf) )
and thinking about the limit of time it is done - just "WOW!"

We really had 10 brave contestants that didn't fear me/my mouse doing some stupid things

I had to match some of the avatars a bit to be displayed in the calendar at the same time (and to get some space for the hat) (roll)
... but it was for the bigger goal

the canidates from theAGS Advent Calendar 2017

I am proud of you all and feel honoured that you took the time to participate!

... and now I'll better hide somewhere for security reasons
#147
Thank you all! Glad you like it!
btw.
If anyone wants to own my irreverent manipulation on his avatar I can offer the original file (as evidence for a pending lawsuit or something like that)

Thanks a lot for taking part!  I am really happy about all the entries!
My last official posting for this round is to proudly announce the winners and
â€" like an award ceremony - to hand out my little badges.

Without further ado my congrats go to

Danvzare and  arj0n  who get a glossy bronze candle trophy for taking the third place
Glenjamin    who gets a shiny silver candle trophy for reaching the second place

and  * drumrolls *

AnasAbdin    who gets a gleaming golden candle trophy for winning

Big applause for you all
and an extra one for our glorious winner,  AnasAbdin, who will take it over now and start the next challenge.

Since nobody shall have to leave this little comp with empty hands I'd also like to offer
a well polished participation badge with an AGS-blue candle for all of you that created an entry but couldn't catch one of the above badges.
This one is for you

and not to forget my little 'extra' for you

We got clever and sweet submissions, funny and cruel entries … There should be something for everyone to discover and enjoy.  (nod)
It's very varied and like a reflexion of our little motley AGS family.
So please tell us which entries are your favorites.

Everyone is allowed to vote for his/her favorite sock!
Please vote for the number of the entry that you'd like first, second and third placed and if you want, tell us why you have chosen it.

... and together with the winners the AGS Advent Calendar 2017 will be revealed.
So you better hurry because the faster we got the voting done, the faster you will be able to take a look at it.

YAY - a second go from Sinitrena - thank you, dear!
I am so happy to welcome arj0n and that Cassy found the time to enter, too.

And no worries that GraphicGale decided to be a pain - GIMP will heal the wounds

Also:
In case there won't be a call for an extension ...
... the last hours are running for hopping on the bandwagon to the unique AGS Advent Calendar 2017

Phew - that memory is seven years back - (roll)
Well, Tom needs to be angry (about Jean not paying) to be willing for to destroy the window.
Did you at least talk twice to Jean and try to get the money?

    WOOOW!
We got socks, socks, socks ...   and socks!
You ... are ... great!
Thank you all for joining!

... and since we now have several participants I happily pushed some pixels, too  (laugh)

I did the best I can to create a nice reward for those participants that want a little trophy for their signature.
For at least one valid entry you will be given one of those unique badges:
The trophies - Finally, here they are:

... to reward and remember you being part of the AGS Advent Calendar 2017 ...  that is in progress already

btw.
In case someone wants to take part and just needs an extension due to time restrictions - that wouldn't be a problem at all - just a little post (including the needed time) will do and it'll be given (nod)
#153
Aww - that is sooo cute!
Anas, you are my hero!
It's adorable, also the mouse already being inside (so it doesn't have to wait for the gourmet dinner) (laugh)

Just when I started to worry about the Advent Calendar looking a bit deserted with all that empty socks ...
You made my day with this entry!

... and now a last reminder to all the others who didn't join so far - still some days left to come up with something!!!

Come on - or is it too easy for you?
Then challenge yourself by putting something in that usually wouldn't fit - or something tiny as realistic as possible . . . or whatever you like - just do it, please!

Let's start filling the Advent Calendar!
#154
Yummy! That's a really good one! (nod)

Thank you for participating

btw. ... how about another sock (i.e. with some cheese  for the little forum mouse to discover)
#155
YAY! We got our first entry ... and such a cool one!

Including a treasure box I presume we might get another sock that includes the key?
I will ensure that the one with the key is to be opened some days later (laugh)
#156
Oops, sorry for not explaining it properly. :-[

I'd like to see all those little gifts you place in the socks. I am a curious girl. (laugh)

The fix outline is just to make it more like looking through the front of a red/green coath of the socks.
For those of you who like it a bit more challenging it would be an idea to fill the shape with a slightly darker green/red (like the back of that sock behind the stuff you place in) to intensify the impression of a sock.
Of course a pattern would be possible, too. Maybe your sock isn't invisible everywhere for us to look into.
That would give room for to show a bit of the outside, too.

But the main thing is to give us a peek of what you place inside or want to find in it. (nod)

<< Coloring Ball: Advent Calendar >>

It's that time of the year some of us are preparing a selfmade advent calender for our childs/partners/friends.

I presume that everyone knows about what I am talking, but just to be sure:
It's a calendar of any shape containing small numbered flaps/boxes, one of which is opened on each day of advent, typically to reveal a picture appropriate to the season,  sweets, tiny toys or small gifts of other content that fit in. Also in use are socks, decorated matchboxes and whatever else can hide the little gifts.

My task for you - if you happen to accept it - is to show us what you'll place in the advent calender
(or what you'd like to find in case you'd get one)

... and here's your shape for this color ball:

Choose the one you prefer  - or even better - simply take both and take part with several entries ;)

> You are NOT allowed to rotate or mirror the shape (also no scaling please â€" using imagezoom for displaying will make it easy for us to discover all the details).
> You can use as much colors as you like and choose the style you prefer, but NOT to color the outline this time as the socks are fix.
> Just stay in (the) shape and don't cross the given outline â€" but that's the point here anyway, isn't it?
> As you may have guessed already you are allowed to come up with several submissions, but you can just win once! After the voting is done your 'strongest' entry will count. Of course you also can decide which of your submissions shall take part in the voting. In that case please add a little note to those of your entries that you won't like to have in.

Please post your entry before the 26th of November is over (forum time).

Trophies!!
I did the best I can to create a nice reward for those participants that want a little trophy for their signature.

Let's go and have some fun!

Oh no, what are you doing to me?!
How embarrassing to win with a contribution you gave up on - hmm - or maybe I should do that more often? (roll)(laugh)

Okay, nevertheless I am going to search a tricky shape now that's eager to be filled with coloured pixels by you guys.
#159
It's unpleasant to read all your kind words - but thank you all!

Now for the votes:
1. Zahlia, Princess of Flames by Gurok
2. Goth Chick by Danvzare
3. Lady Godiva by Klatuu

Ha, ha, ha - running around headlessly is a kinda strange feeling - but at least my toothache is gone. (laugh)

 Congratulations to our clever survivor Snarky!

... and big thanks for our terrifying jigsaw host - you did a really cool job! (nod)
