Thank you very much for your kind assessment and no worry - Joey is meant to be a harmles young man, who is just a bit curious (gathering the Playboy only because of those interesting reports) and since hiding behind a bush in this position is a bit tiring, he will give up soon  ;)

The guy, who tells you what to do is looking a bit angry, but I can make out his face (on my monitor), so for me it works well.

For your broken screen you could use this or that one as a reference.

I like Armageddons style most, because of the legs (vampires are not only model-types) and main characters not being perfect, are lovable for me. Thinking about the possibilities of using a floating vampire has it's own charm and because of the needed „cyborg“-elements I prefer the body of Anonymus 3# (maybe using Armageddons in a flashback-sequence or something like this?). But it may need more manpower to work this one out. Do you already have enough applicants?

To reach the task of this project you need a well done sprite and with consideration to the limited capacity of participants, it should be as easy/fast to handle, as possible and because of this, I vote for Cat's with modifications. It has everything needed.

Hi monkey,

your modell looks nearly like mine.  :D

Since I always have to write my posts on a seperate document first (because of the translating and „proof-reading“), I have to do all those copy&pasteâ€"work over there, too. Otherwise I loose the overall view.  :-\

I prefer the templates, selmiak mentioned, because you can write your text like in „word“, simply mark the passages, you want to hide, change to bold or what ever and then change it by only a click on the the corresponding button.

This way I have less of those copy&paste pieces to do and get it done faster. I know, I'm lazy!  8)

But thank you for your offered assistance! I now can be sure, that there is no easier way for me, as I do it right now already.  ;D

I would really love to participate but I fear that I would rather export the sprites and delete or so (producing errors like this). My only experience aside from playing games is to learn a very little bit of using gimp in the time left, after a fulltime job and all the other stuff in real life (started this year). As you can see, first I am in need of a very patient teacher (i.e. from Planet Earth ;)), giving me an intensive lesson about what to do, before I could try to start with „the hour“ and I think, there's no space for a stupid little apprentice (like me) in the swarm, but thank you anyway.


@all, who got a job in the swarm:
I like the interesting approaches about the story of this "borg-vampire" (also the sprites) and I am curious about where this will lead to 

-  *claps, claps, claps*  -  (learned this at the AGS-Awards-Ceremony already  ;D)

It's related to the vampire and also to "the drops" given from a lot of artists to make the game.

I'm not really sure if I like the game being a side-scroller of a kind with a walkable area of only one pixel thick and the character only walking to the left and right, but I like both characters you created and the animations.

What makes me curious, is that you promised: „ ... believe me, I have CRAZY ideas ...“. 
I think, you catched me with this â€" so I am looking forward to try it  ;D

Can you tell something about the puzzles (which kind of will be included) and the controls?

After creating/repairing your wetware-modul you should be able to connect with the network-terminal.
If you already did this, you should be able to use the (now) activated trance-symbol from the inventory with Guy to connect to him.

Would it be very difficult to code something like:

After several death's (maybe 9, like we have hours to dawn) the player will get the chance for skipping and maybe also adding an automatic-save (when using the skipp-button) for those, who prefer to go on with the story first, but including the possibility to retry this challange whenever they want later again?

This way every player will get in the right mood, given from the fight, but won't get stuck endlessly until it is won. In my personal opinion this would be a great service for the player, getting the choice to try as long as he want to.

Initiallyonly looking at the first screenshot, I thought about The RainDogStory immediatly. Could it be, that ... it's the same style, so ...? Without reading the text, I changed to the profile, because it was Romeo, who ... - oh, what a disappointment - ... this Romeo never has worked on any finished game yet  :'(  but ... hmmmm.

Going back to the thread to read and â€" hey, he is it â€" yay  :D â€" Romeo is back with a very interesting new story and it sounds, like there are lot of possibilities for quests and puzzles.

I loved playing The RainDogStory, even if it was very hard to get through (for me) â€" but it was really fun (getting desperate, then sad, finally mad) while searching for a solution or an item - it was a game for adventurers.  8)

So I wish you a lot of luck with creating your new game and that you get great ideas for the puzzles again.  :)

You „decorated“ well! It's a big progress in my oppinion!  :D

There are only two little things, I would change a bit, if possible:

By watching the window of Claudios, I still don't know, what they are selling (what anian said).  ???
If the items in the window are a kind of promotion-constellations, they shouldn't be blanc.
If they really sell mirrors, maybe you could change the items in the window to three different, but more classical mirrors in different frames.
You also can write (whaterver is selled) unter the Name on the window to make it clear.

In case of winning the fight, it has to recover and the next appearing will be later than usual.
