I havent read all the posts, so forgive me if i missed the reason why the number on the right is facing the wrong direction, the other numbers are fine. I would leave the 1 out.

You are inside the tower. People watching the clock are outside.

If you watch it from the other side, it's quite alright.

Is this an Easter egg, or something else (a bug, or some leftover code)?  ???

I thought, it shows the month, when the game was created in relation to the 10th anniversary of RON. ::)

Sorry, but I can't help.   :P

But I want to say:
I love your technique and how you did the light reflections.   :D

If it would be possible to animate the steam - this would be great.

I'll get back to trying out some tricks with the craters now, what I really need are some good reference pictures  fotos.

... maybe something like this:

Scenario: you pick up an inv item in room 3, you need to use it in room 7... now if you don't pick up the inv item what do you do when you need it?

A: hint and allow the player to go back and get it?
B: give player another option to the solution?

Well, it all depends on the game-design:

Let's say for some reason the char can't go back to the room with the item: It is okay for me, if I am getting told, the char won't leave the scene, because ... (i.e. he is missing something) â€" I need a reason.

But if the char is able to go back there, I don't like getting stopped.

If you make a game with several possibilities to solve a problem and you don't get into a dead-end - that's okay by me, too.

What are your views on:

A: Arrows depicting exits
B: Mouse over Hotspots
C: Combining more than 2 inv items

-  arrows for the exits are only needed, if there is no path or door too be seen
-  I prefer hotspots appearing, when getting in contact with the cursor
-  combining more than two items is fun for me, if it is logical (i.e. you found several pieces of a photo/letter or create a tool)

Wonderful screenies!

... but if you want Dualnames to be able to play the whole game, too ...
(not only staring at the pics)
the back-view of this young lady needs loosing some shadow

... looks like a naked butt - but a very nice one, I admit   ;D

I just started "The day that nothing hapened" and it looks really cool, had me chuckle a few times, but I wanted to say I'm stuck:

Spoiler

I entered YahtzeeBrand and cannot find a way to go out of the store, missing exit or am I blind?

Regards

If you watch the bottom-line of the scene carefully, you can see where the door/entry is (no shadow there/on left side).

If we get a minimum of three stories, I'll do my best to present some trophies for the winners, who want it.

That's great!
We already have some stories and some more are announced!  :D  Thank you!

It was about time to do the trophies and I thought, that maybe some „lights“ for the winners as trophy would be a nice memory of this theme.

They are placed now in the first post to "enlighten" all writers.

So please play rollercoaster with our feelings and go on with posting your wonderful storys!

General Discussion / Re: Help me name a club!

If you want all to be happy over there, you could name it

                 CLOVER

You can also use a little pic of a four leaf clover everywhere (for showing the luck they have, being there and make little buttons for "give-aways" ...).

Sorry - my fault (I'm to old for such modern stuff) :P

So let's change the question to: Why not a knife and a spork?
(I want to make me a bread roll with butter and some other unhealthy stuff ;))

Nice!
Is it for a special reason, you choose two forks, instead of one spoon and a knife or fork?
#2134
Yeah!
I am relieved! - Thanks for your nice words Oliwerko!

I'll start to tinker with the trophies then  ...

Do I have to worry about “the silence” in here?

Did I choose a wrong theme (I thought, that it was possible to be interpreted in a lot of differend ways), or are you all working on an epic story?

If you want the thread closed for coming up with a new theme or some examples to start with, just tell me ... What ever you want. It would be no problem. I only want you all to have fun with this.

I'm not really sure, if I understood your question the right way, but I'll try to give some ideas about breakfast-items.

I find an egg cup to be international known as typical for breakfast:
"take/give" - getting the egg out/in there
"talk" - you could do a crack-line to lift the head a little like talking
"use" - break it to change into a "sunny side up"
"walk" - give it little legs (like stickman) an do a moonwalk

Nearly everyone needs cutlery for breakfast, wich can be used in several ways to be animated and not to forget, something hot in a cup (tea/coffe) to get awake. ;)

Is there a typical pattern tablecloths in Australia or America you could use as background?

If you want it more international there also can be used a toast, a croissant, a bread roll, glass of honey/marmalade.

Hints & Tips / Re: The Secret of Garbh Eileach

My inventory didn't change and when leaving the room, he's telling me: „I'm certain there is a key in here somewhere.“

Going back and using the flush handle again with same result (as told)

EDIT:
Tried the new version and this time I got the key without any problem!
Thanks for the update and help! ;D
