Stuuuu where are you?
I need my dose of black bedtime-story ... tired - soo tired

She told him to hide, and lied about not knowing where he was. What else was she gonna do? Not her fault he kept falling for the same trick over and over again. (Which might be his arrogance and greed rather than stupidity.)
Sure it is his fault but what mother lets get her child getting hurt just because it is acting stupid.
"Never go with strangers and not even if they promise to show you something interesting."
In case that mother is realising that a stranger is talking to her little one and going to leave with her ...
please don't tell me you really believe it is a normal reaction to look away
just because it would be the childs own fault if it gets abused then?  8-0  8-0

Nice one Snarky
I'm just wondering why Butterscotch's mother obviously didn't to anything to help her son
even if she was in the kitchen where it happened three times in a row.   (wtf)
Did she sell him to the troll or what?

Now who is coming up with the next case?  Stupot? Kumpel?
I am home from work now and waiting
(laugh)
#383
Did the cook get murdered because he choose the wrong 'food'?
#384
Did they (those to be eaten) die voluntarily?
Did the parents have to die to follow a tradition (not because food is needed/rare)?
Did the cook make a mistake during the preparation or process of cooking?
#385
You might find it easier by using GenericMan when creating your walkcycles!
#386
Was it a celebration of something like the Day of the Dead (Día de muertos)?
Are the two chosen ones to be a sacrifice?
Did at least one of them die by someone else (not by one of the three gone dead)?
Was at least one of them drowned?
#387
Are we dealing with mythical creatures (i.e. cyclops)?

 How did that happen! 8-0
Thanks Amy, I feel very flattered ... but I did not participate. :-[
So please feel free to give this vote for someone else instead of me.

I'm gonna guess that the event is a wake. ...
... but isn't that a typical human thing? I am still puzzeled what kind of non-human beings we have here.   (wtf)
#390
Does the triad consist of aliens?
Are the three unicellular beings?
Did they die the same time?
#391
Does the triad consist of artificial intelligence?
Are the three in a funeral dynasty / crematorium?
Did at least one die from electroschock?
#392
Is at least one of them suffocated?
Did at least one of them die by poison?
Is at least one of them an animal?

@ Kumpel

What is Not-Human and wears colths/aprons? (wtf)
A robot for example ... also this one might be a human ... just not all of them are.
#393
Are all three humans?
Is a help to suicide involved?
Did at least two of them die from the same reason?
#394
The case is solved now and I declare Snarky the winner
… and therefore the one with the prerogative to present the next case.

Here's my original solution for case # 2:
A heavily damaged submarine drowned and in the last intact room there are three persons still alive but going to suffocate because the oxygen reserves will soon be consumed. There's no hope for (even one of them) to be saved in time. Since the only available revolver has just one bullet left, they play cards for the privilege to shoot themself.

Case #2 solved and closed!

Were they in a submarine?
(nod) (nod) (nod) (nod) (nod) (nod) (nod) (nod) (nod) (nod) now give it to me, baby  :-D

Oh well... but maybe some elements of the theory can be salvaged.
definitely  (nod)

Keep it coming!CASE # 2:
They found three dead bodies in the room, also a set of cards and a revolver.
What happened?

Yes
Were they playing some form of Russian Roulette with the cards and the gun?
Had the revolver been fired by one of the people found dead?
Was (one of) the people shot?
They each drew a card ...
Did any of the three shoot themselves?
Did one of them shot himself?
… was it a suicide?
Were the cards 'playing cards'?
Were the three dead bodies all human?
Did the person who was shot die before the two others?
Is the number/value/color of the card each one drew relevant to there fate?
Was the room locked?
Did the revolver contain only one bullet before the game began?
Was there an explosion of any kind? (but not inside the room or during the scene that you are about to reconstruct)
Had they all revealed the cards that they had drawn before anyone died?
Did the other two people die from the same cause?
Did they know ahead of time that they would all die?
Were they using the cards to "draw lots" (decide at random who was going to do something)?
Did the "winner" of the card drawing get to kill themselves with the gun ...
Did any of them die from lack of air?
Were they people related to one another? (relationship)
Were the persons aboard a ship? (a special kind of - and its usually more referred to as "boat" rather than as "ship")
Were the persons sailors?

No
Were (all of) the people shot?
Was there a 4th person playing cards and lost all his money so he shot the other 3 and fled with the money?
… was there signs of a robbery gone bad?
Did all three die of the same causes?
Were the cards playing cards?
… the one with the lowest card is going to be killed with the gun,
but before they can reveal their cards one guy picks up the gun and shoots the other two,
then he turns over the cards and realizes he had the lowest card then dies from a heart attack.
Had the gun been fired more than once?
Were the cards business cards?
Was one of the three people a magician?
Did at least one of the three people die of natural causes?
Did at least one of the three people die of poison?
Did at least one of the three people get stabbed?
Did at least one of the three people get bludgeoned?
Were there still bullets in the gun?
Did they play a game that they thought only one of them would survive?
Did one of the people shoot the two others?
Did they each look at their own card and assumed that they had won or lost?
If so (shot himself), was it an accident?
Did one of the men get busted for cheating at the game?
Did the third guy laugh himself to death? (laugh)
Did one of the 3 guys strangle one of the others?
Did the other two people kill each other?
Was there a draw (same naumber/value/color on two or more cards) after the cards have been drawn? (wtf)
Was any of the three people depressed?
Did the others die from a ricocheting bullet?
Did the bullet kill more than one person?
Were more people involved than three? (not inside the room or during the scene that you are about to reconstruct)
Did one or both of the other two also kill themselves?
Was at least one of the persons blindfolded?
Did the gun/the bullet inside explode in some way that was not intended by the shooter?
Was there a window(s) in the room?
Could the window be opened?
Were they able to get out of the room they were in?
Did the one person kill themselves to give the others a hope of survival?
Did the "winner" of the card drawing get to kill themselves with the gun so they didn't have to die some other way?
Did any of them die of hunger or thirst?
Did any of them have (or think they had) a dangerous disease?
Did any of them die of radiation poisoning?
Was magic involved?
Were they people related to one another? (no relatives)
Had the door been locked from the outside?
were the persons castaways?
Were they found in a lifeboat?

irrelevant/don't know myself
did the dead bodies have money on them, …
Are the cards 'playing cards' of the suited 1-10 Jack Queen King Ace variety?
Were there cards by each body? (Just pin-ups are pictured â€" like to be seen on the image)
Were there cards at each body?  (No, they lay them back afterwards)
Was the window big enough to be crawled out by the dead people. (he, he, he - even if they had a window - there are no Zombies involved)

WOW! Those are awesome and wonderful news, Cat!
Whishing you both all the best for the greatest thing to 'develop' - new life.

Sorry for hijacking the threat - but that's biiig news (placed in a sub-set)

@ Snarky
A really, really good theory, considering how little has been disclosed so far.
You seem to have experience - go on like this and we soon have a new Sherlok.
But sadly I have to place your good theory

@ Cassiebgs
I didn't forget you. Your questions will be sorted when I post the next update of the complete list.   :-*

I thought it is a scenario most of you know so it wouldn't be that hard (also not too hard for me to do in english).   (roll)
For beginners this is not the easiest way to get in touch with those riddles.

Well, I tried to help a bit with those little 'extensions' of your questions (to place them
somewhere useful instead of where they belong if taken purely) and not to forget that pic of evidence.

Since it doesn't seem to help that much so far, I want to recommend you:
First  find out which kind of death you are dealing with (to get a fixed direction what to go for).

Right now you just know about one of them (the one who shot himself like Snarky stated correct).
There are some more very helpful 'yes-' and 'no-questions' already.
But right now, without knowing what they all died from, those are rather irritating.

Hope you will have a bit of fun while solving the case …
