General Discussion / Re: AGS Image Host?
Thu 26/07/2018 18:30:01
I have an imgur account, too. Nonetheless I more often use directupload for images because it's easy to use and organise for me and ... it's free, too  They call themself the fastest host in the www and store pics without them being deleted after some time (if you have a free account).
btw.
My smiley-treasures are hidden there, too Here's to be found some more info for those interested.

For all other kind of files to store or share (like savegames, documents, zip-files,  ...  even backups of some of my games) I have an account (free up to a storage for 57 GB!) at mediafire.com. Just saw a savegame for an AGS game I placed there to share it in one of our help threats in 2011 (and it still seems to work) 8-)

Argh. And now AGS lost my profile pic?
Gotta reupload that again too? Aaaaaah :panic:
Doesn't this one: http://a.deviantart.net/avatars/t/i/tintengeist.png work? [/German ghostwhispering]

I just played about 15 minutes (to try if it works) but I am already impressed by the lovely done graphics and animations and all those little funny extras included. :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

After I understood how the verb coin is to be used it worked surprisingly well. Yes, I confess that I needed a while (despite the tutorial) to get that hoovering over a hotspot will show you (by icons) what interactions will follow by a left or a right mouse click there.  :-[

Since I am playing the German version I don't know about the voices most of you will hear. For my taste Bernard's German voice didn't fit that well but hey - it is a fanadvanture with voice acting and it is free - so I won't blame anyone for that since its quality is okay. Also text only can be selected in case someone can't stand it.

After this extremly short bit of play I am expecting a really cool time playing this game. (nod)
They must have put in such a lot of heart to do it - and finishing such a big project is getting my deepest respect.

Hints & Tips / Re: The Guilt Eternal
Sun 22/07/2018 14:30:40
Mpf - after reading the last posts (lots of saves needed) I don't have much hope
(I only saved ones when I got stuck) and I fear it might be a bug involved.
But maybe I am in luck and just didn't get it? (roll)

I am in the castle right now, not able to leave and need to distract the guard.
Spoiler
I can't open the chest with the keyhole inside or the hollow part unter the statue.
I can'i enlighten the fireplaces (one I can go in but nothing else and the other one needs cleaning first).
I can't cut the rope take the mop or reach the throne or do anything with one of my items to the guard nor do I get new dialog options for him.

Now I am out of options/ideas how I might be able to distract him.
Inventory: cards, cup, phone, scissors, spate, broken pot, recorder, book, lighter.

Can anyone give me a hint, please (or confirm that I got stuck because of a bug)?

remember though that you have to color it in, photos dont count :P
To tell the truth I already pixelated 'such a shape' for the AGS-family
... and even animated it

So I need another idea to fill this one

I am having fun playing this game and I am surprised that is has several chapters (just began the second one) since I wasn't aware of the game being that extensive.
Aside from the funny story there are tons of puzzles (also naughty ones), nicely done animations, jokes, sounds and cutscenes, a cute main char ...
That's cool! You should add the game to the database to be found more easily by players

Since it is recognizable how much effort has been put into this game on every aspect I am really wondering about one point that doesn't fit at all. Sadly it's the english translation (not even done at all lines). I am having a hard time to understand what is meant by some sentences sometimes. I thought it might be worth to be mentioned in case you'd want to take a second look into that. The game would be worth it! (nod)

Oh, and I need to report a gamecrash:
Spoiler
At first I thought it might be the one already reported but since I am unable to enter the boiler room as described I presume that I am playing the updated version.
Therefore here we go:
After the whip is already placed on the balcony I tried to catch it by first climbing on the pole. From there I tried to use/get the whip and the game crashed:

An error has occurred. Please contact the game author for support, as this is likely to be a scripting error and not a bug in AGS.

in "room36.asc", line 303

Keep up the good work!

I am off to the village now to fiddle around with the other puzzles

... another entertaining game - YAY!
I had fun playing it and enjoyed the grafics/animations and puzzles a lot. (nod)

That especially includes the already mentioned ones with the truck and the doll.
For me it has been refreshing to see a puzzle been solved in a different or (at least for me) new way.

Great job!

@selmiak: He used the secret [ shrink ] tag, I'm sure! (laugh)
Yupp (nod) - and that secret is simply to show it in the size you want it by ...
Spoiler
... using instead of just [img] before the link ;)

1st: <6> It's like the shape has been taken from that slobbering mess. Also it's really cool pixelated and it's even animated - Whee!
2nd: <5> That rubber Astrochicken head with a microhologramic pulley in the middle is so well done and fits perfectly.
3rd: <11> I can't leave that fine jet mouse  behind - an absolute must have for me.

I also fell in love with the swiss knife (#21), the pic of Hermann (#12) and the Frogger toy (#23) and the cat and...  - oh man - such a lot of good entries. (nod)

This cb got the biggest amount of deviations ever!
Congrats to our host Anas, who did an awesome job to achieve this 'golden goal'!

Was she a human?
Did she love someone or something she was allergic to?
Was she murdered by accident?

Since I wasn't able to create the entry I had in mind but eagerly wanted to be part of the flash mob that seems to happen in this cb I decided to donate the rag doll of my childhood.
It smells a bit cheesy, but we can't become picky if we want to make the shop bursting at the seams. (laugh)

So ... just to be part of the show ...
take this little rag doll. It's coming all the long way from planet earth up to Fester's shop:

I just need to jump in to say:

"This CB simply is amazing!"

Sadly I won't be able to participate because my idea has been acceptable just in my mind and I wasn't able to implement it reasonably. :-[ The more I am really glad about the amount of funny entries that have ben done already. (nod)
You guys offer such a varity of very nice items for the sale and the hosting of Anas by providing those 'shop-shots' is hilarious with that little show in the window!
      , dear Anas!
