Ha. I like the Sunshine-style oxygen garden.  8)
Well spotted! I loved those when I saw them in Sunshine, and I've been dying to put them in a game ever since. So, here they are!

How are you supposed to feel when your friend and partner is on the run, and has been accused of murder? Doctor Lao certainly doesn't know, but she does know that she doesn't believe it was Regis. Or, maybe she just won't?

Technobabylon: Part 4

Featuring:
- A plot development or several!
- Three playable characters (including a new one)!
- Refinements that I should have made several months ago!

Sure, I might have *said* that I wanted to aim for a different project/style, but I've got an extremely short attention span. So here's the fourth part of Technobabylon.

I started on it two days ago, and I'm about half-way through. Should have something testable by Tuesday, and something releasable by next weekend.

Until then!

[20 October]

Ha ha next weekend yeah right

At this rate, what with completely overhauling the art, I'd say it's around a week and a half before I have something testable on the go.

I used to love The Clue (as it was called in the UK). I'll give this a go!

I'm voting "yes, please", because I went to private school.

Also, doing it by post.

The way cats being home dead animals all the time, it could be along the lines of "provide for that family of people you live with who are obviously completely incapable of hunting".

They kind of remind me of MindMaze from Encarta 95 for some reason.

A blast from the past :o, I think we got the encarta 95 as an extra with our first non-second-hand pc back then.

Yeah, it came with our first PC too, (a 486). Sometimes it amazes me how long ago that was. I was just thinking to myself: "heh, 95, that's nearly 10 years ago... oh, wait."

Looking back at screenshots of MindMaze, it's not that similar to this game. But it still has the same cut-out feel. I'm also reminded of Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time.

Indeed, Terry Gilliam is the feeling I'm getting from the screenshots, which in my opinion is a good thing!

As mentioned before, it's because the elements of the picture look like they've been pieced together from other sources, but in such a way that they seem to work!

PC GRAMERS!

Oh AWESOME! This is certainly giving me more incentive to get planning part 4. Now I'm not sure my head will fit out of the door, though.

Well, that's tonight sorted.  Don't even need to open up Megarotic today.

I do...it's for inspiration, I swear...

We've got a few days of school holiday coming up, so I should have a walkcycle or several finished by the end of the weekend. Or should I say, strut-cycle?

Uh, well. In my eyes its an original that is an Adventure/RPG with a few (2) FF reference's like the moogle's(Only reason why I keep them is because they are not that big of a deal to have & people think they are cute & they fit the game with out you even knowing its a reference because there is only one moogle & it is referred to as Mr.Mog.

In the eyes of a lot of AGS members it's nothing but a big FF rip of that takes every thing from Final fantasy.

It's more than just the wholesale transfer of game elements (like moogles - replace them with hamsters, or something), but also the aesthetic. The first thing I think of, when I see pictures from you games, is Kingdom Hearts. I can appreciate trying to capture the feeling of something that one has been inspired by, but I'm sure people would agree that yours always go waaay beyond inspiration, and head straight into "original fanfic" territory.

Does this mean we can stop all this patriot act stuff now?

It evokes both feelings of nineties adventures, and "The 39 Steps"
#313
So...you plan on directing people to AGS' forums to register for their "DLC"?

I must say, I'm extremely skeptical. In the nicest possible sense, of course, but still skeptical.

Is that a tramp stamp above the buttocks? Nice.  ;D

I figured people have to have something to look at on the back view!

Aah, slutty eyeliner. I was thinking green would probably be a good colour for it, and you've shown me that's definitely the case.

Now I've done her from behind (hur hur hur), and altered a bit on the side view to accomodate Mad's suggestions on there too.

Niiiiiiiiice. I intend to download the series to keep myself busy on the flight back from Korea shortly.

Wow! Will this be the heroine of the next Technobabylon?

That would be quite a shift in style if she were in Technobabylon 4 - Tabata will be furious, but this isn't Technobabylon I'm doing it for at the moment - I've got a secondary project in mind!

So, having borrowed/outright stolen a few elements of style from Ben304's style, here's a revamped Nancy the Happy Whore, from a front view as well. I'm thinking of giving her the purse soon (a visible excuse for an inventory!), I guess that would go better in her right hand than her left.

Do I need a car-washing mini-game in this?

Just a few easy changes for things that caught my eye.

haha, mine looks so downright amateurish compared to that!

And the first guess by qptain Nemo was spot on - she is indeed, a WHORE (exactly the word I'd been thinking of, in fact)

Well, I'm practicing a slightly different style, and I want to make sure that people, at a glance, can have a fair guess at what this young woman's occupation is, based on the way she's dressed.

I'll put up a 4-direction tomorrow, when I've finished it!
So, any suggestions to improve on how she looks before I get on to making the rest of her would be extremely useful!

Edit: New bits - see latest posts

Well, I'm certainly getting an idea of what to do, and particularly what *not* to do in the next part. No more lights-out puzzles, certainly!

And however long it takes to get there, I guarantee there'll be part 4 coming up!
