Good points, I'll be doing some tweaking to the model. The look like she's "crawled into daddy's space-suit" is kind of what I'm going for - it's not her suit, so it's a little to bulky. That said, the arms could probably do with some thickening to make them a bit more in-proportion with the rest of her.

And the face - well, yes, she does have a black eye, and a cut on her forehead (which seems to be slightly obscured by the hair, so I could tilt the head back slightly to reveal that more) but this is going to be more obvious in the portrait view for speech.

Nice critique though, so I'll get round to incorporating those into the figure.

Good point, I suppose the standing one doesn't need much in the way of symmetry in terms of pose.

Bonjour all!

I've decided to try a slightly different technique to doing animated characters. So, I've built a 3d model of the protagonist, from which I plan to rotoscope based on it for walking, standing, performing all kinds of other animations.

Anyway, since this is just her standing in her space-suit (minus the helmet), something about it doesn't seem quite right about the way she's standing. Since it's a bulky suit, the movement is going to be slightly clunky and unwieldy intentionally, but can anyone suggest how to make the standing seem a little more...natural?

Cheers in advance.  :)

Is the space station orbiting anything, or it is a drift? That may alter the shape of the station depending where it's placed, whether it needs to rotate to maintain any artificial gravity, etc.

Good choice on modular though, it's the way forward!

5 Day Assassin for me. I'm certainly glad I opted to try something else afterwards, I found that game disappointing!

Good for them! I don't think Russia are actually going to give them much trouble beyond bluster. Some of their problems might come from EU countries not recognising them - Spain worries that it might set a precedent for Basques and Catalans.

I'll have to agree with Oliwerko. Although the others look more...professional...as they get done, the first one feels more, to me, like a torture place. With the open window, it looks like it'd be cold, and it looks appropriately sterile.

I think it's a bit bright, but it does feel...empty. I guess that's the isolation you're going for. It looks like a mountainy hotel, like a ski resort perhaps.

I've been starting on some indoor scenes (where the rooms will be surrounded by black boxes, to contrast with the outdoor scenes that aren't), and I think I've hit on a style that aesthetically matches the characters I'm doing as well. I don't like big expanses of one colour, so I try to put a lot of noise into areas that are, in this case, wood panelling, to give more of a woodgrain look. So -

1) Does the colouring of this scene seem to fit?

2) Is the chap in the middle consistent with its style to you?

3) Could anything be improved about the perspective of the picture?

(apologies for the width of number 2!)
