Thanks guys for your input. Keep this info coming. It might be interesting to see how much Batman Movie 2011 info this thread could accumulate...

 ???

I recently installed Windows 7 Home Premium on my PC. So far, it's a really cool O.S.,

however...

I am unable to find the latest Driver to make my EPSON PERFECTION 1200U Scanner work!

I've checked the Epson Website, the latest Driver is for Windows XP! :(

Please give me some helpful advice on what do do with my EPSON PERFECTION 1200U Scanner.

Microsoft and Epson, I would REALLY appreciate your help in this regard!

I'm a part-time Graphic Designer, so I require the use of a Flat Bed Scanner.

I do not want to shovel up some more money to buy a new Scanner. I'm want to keep this one.

I would appreciate any helpful Video or Text Comments that you may have.

I have not posted anything on this topic for quite awhile, I'm sorry for the delay -- I've been busy calibrating my new Windows 7 O.S., but that's another story...

MOVING ON...
:)

I've noticed a great deal of mixed emotions from you readers. Some love the new Star Trek, some hate it, some like it, some are indifferent to S.T.

Again, with it's flaws overlooked, I found it quite the Popcorn Movie; a real thrill ride. It renewed that boyish imagination and sense of adventure I had when I was a kid when my folks would go out to dinner while they left me with the Babysitter and the TV, and a McDonalds Happy Meal while I would watch Star Trek T.O.S.

The movie took me back to those fond days.

Anyone here going to buy the new DVD/Blue Ray version with extra features?
If you already have, please let me know if the the features were cool.

***SPOILER ALERT***

I watched on G4 -- ATTACK OF THE SHOW, that, there are Klingon's with masks in a flashback scene with the evil Romulan. Anyone see that scene?

Just when I thought Star Trek Movies were getting as boring as Data on shore leave...

JJ Abrams' Star Trek saved my respect and excitement for Star Trek!

Woo! JJ Abrams claimed he wasn't even a fan of Star Trek, but, nonetheless, the creator of Lost, Fringe and Alias presented a fresh approach to the Legendary Sci-Fi Story.

Directing, Acting, Script, Special Effects and LOADS of ACTION makes this a movie to be respected!

What are you're opinions? What did you like/dislike in this movie?

I'll be back with more to say, I'm going to my food replicator for lunch now...

I would first like to thank everybody for your input! It's so encouraging to see Trek Fanatics like me!

I found the story quite (to quote Spock) "fascinating". The writers didn't succumb to a typical prequel movie, but

!!!SPOILER ALERT!!! developed the idea of a alternate time-line - with Nero and his Planet-Sucking-Ship, and all the main character's lives being dramatically altered. I liked how even though Kirk and Spock had terrible losses and traumas, they maintained the noble and heroic personalities we've grown to love in the original show.
!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!

!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!
Also, I just simply loved how the new Star Trek was ACTION PACKED. Not overly talky like TNG, DSN, VOYAGER, ENTERPRISE. And surely, not poorly directed like Star Trek V!
!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!

Me and my friends are excited about the sequel that should be coming!

Kirk out.

Speaking about Ullyses... the James Joyce novel. I have not yet read the book. Has anyone seen the b/w movie? Does it have ANYTHING to do with The Classic Greek Mythological Poem, Homir's Odyssey? What about Franz Ferdinard's song, "Ullyses" is it based on the novel?

 :)

Personally, I think Twitter is another tool that you can use, for good or for bad. If you have a cool website, blog, home-made video, home-based business, selling something online, just have something profound to say, etc ... Twitter is a wonderful vehicle for such. On the other hand, if you're idea of using Twitter is to tell people every few minutes that you sat on the can or are eating a bag of Doritos and drinking a strawberry milkshake, well, let me say that Twitter has not been utilized to it's full potential. Heh.

I like Twitter. But for good use.

That's just me.

Here are some photos I collected from L.A. Mood and nearby areas...

I had a wonderfully Geeky time...

Thanks guys for your frank and mixed comments. Yeah, I do sound somewhat like a noob and a rookie on those videos. English is my only language, but sometimes I get nervous and stumble over my words. I was reading the lines from a paper, because sometimes I forget. But I'll keep practicing.

I appreciate some of your other comments of my videos being unintentionally funny. That's great! I like to make people laugh!  :D  If that keeps people entertained... then so be it!

Thanks for mentioning that the download instructions were helpful. I'm grateful that they were clear enough for those who were new to freeware game downloads.

The point of the videos are not really supposed to be an in-depth critique like The Angry Nintendo Nerd etc... but it's more of a general geeky overview of my favourite freeware games, how to dowload them, how to install them, a general test drive of the game, and a BRIEF opinion of the game. I could go longer, but YouTube allows only 10 minutes. Besides, I don't want to be overly critical in these videos.

These videos are more instructional then critical.

But thanks everyone for your helpful opinions; I'll keep your advice in mind, especially on being more relaxed and fluent in my delivery.

Practice makes perfect.

Happy gaming!

P.S. Buckethead: No, sorry. I'm not Tom Cruise. Though it would be nice to be married to a girl who looks like Katey Holmes and jump on Oprah's Couch on Live National Television! Haha!  :D

 :) Thanks again guys!  :)

I tested it on a computer game, and it worked! Audacity is an awesome freeware audio editing program!

Thanks for the heads up. I also appreciate your encouraging words regarding my banner.

This advice helps me learn the rules better. I learn by doing.  :)

Audacity! Yes! I already have Audacity. It is a GREAT freeware program. I'll look in to it more...learn how to connect the sound cables better...

Uh, not wanting to push the envelope, could someone please tell me the steps I would need to take to make Audacity record screen audio without interference? Please?

Thanks!
#38
I want to be able to capture just the audio on my screen - in Good Quality sound - Freeware. Uses include recording Business Webinars and recording Video Game Music and sound effects.

If you could post some links to the download websites, I would appreciate it!

:) Don't worry Ghost... despite all the haters, your efforts were not wasted!  :)

Ghost:

Thank you so much for such a polite but firm post! I feel much more motivated to do the right thing, now that someone has spoken to me in a kind and reasonable manner.

Oh, the part you make on whole posts being linked. Yeah... about that. I'm VERY sorry about that issue. However, I seemed to have had some difficulty lately with posting Images with links on them. I posted an image with some text, and for some reason, the link got mixed up with the text.

If someone could please show me, since I'm a slow learner, how to properly post linked images - without causing discrepencies with text...

... I would be very thankful!

... Update...I seemed to have solved the problem... I reposted my text BEFORE the Picture and Link. It looks better!  :D

I make a pledge to everyone, that I'll do everything in my power to leave interesting posts and links without violating the rules on Blogs.

I only hope the fine ladies and gentlemen at Adventure Game Studio can forgive me for my errors, so we can continue sharing interesting, educational and entertaining material.

Thanks again for bearing with me. I am still new to the Fine Art of Foruming...  ;D
