General Discussion / Re: Devin Townsend's Ki
Tue 26/05/2009 13:57:50
I am guilty of being an enormous fan of every thing Devin has ever done, and I am also guilty of having listened to the leaked tracks from Ki on Youtube.

To say that I have been listening to Terminal way too much lately is a massive understatement. I look forward to buying the album and listening to it - particularly as I have been listening to massive amounts of the SYL albums City and Alien recently.

I have to say, though, even though he is a music making machine, I am a little doubtful as to whether he can actually manage to achieve his 4 album in the year goal. Still, exciting times for us Devin fans (particularly after he broke up Strapping Young Lad and announced a haitus after Ziltoid the Omniscient).

Lovely game :). The graphics were very nice and the music was very cool too. Thanks!

Ryan: Thanks dude :). Interesting point about that particular puzzle, I can see where you are coming from. I agree that it would have been simple enough to add a shadow in, but was probably distracted by other things and so neglected to do it. Thanks for the bug report, and I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed the game :).

Nihilyst: Thanks :). I had lots of fun (and frustration) trying to make the puzzles interesting, and it is nice to hear that it paid off. Cheers!

Colfree: Thank you. I plan to. I agree. Thanks ;).

Sebastian: Hello! Genre restrictions are unnecessary! Fun is important when making things that are meant to be fun for the player! Caboose!

Ace Starkiller in: Hillbilly Burger Bastards.

For my money one of the best games made in AGS. And it's not even in the DB!

Bummer, the link doesn't work anymore. Anyone who can help me?

:( I searched through all the weird old folders I could think of on my computer and still can't seem to find it. I swear I had it around here somewhere.

It's cool to hear you're still working on it though, ProgZ :D

If you're referring to the (X,Y) location that you used to be able to pass to PlayAmbientSound, then that is no longer supported. I wasn't sure whether anybody was actually using it; if so, it can make a comeback.

Please, do. I'm using a lot of ambient sounds with that, of course we can still use the old style speech for it. I'm not sure but perhaps a workaround with panning and volume might do it?

I'd like to see the (X,Y) location for ambient sounds supported too if it's not too much trouble :).

Put clingfilm over the toilet seat before you give them the laxative.

Then when they open the toilet door after making a mess, squirt them with a hose. Not for any specific reason, but if I was in that situation and somebody squirted me with a hose I'd really be very cross :), even though they'd be justified in squirting the hose because there was crap everywhere.
